It's usually a man that you know because those are the men you're likely to be alone with. The first thing a rapist has to do is isolate you. That is hard for a stranger to accomplish.

The perpetuators of most rape and domestic violence against women are males that women know by name. Husbands, boyfriends, male friends, male roommates, fathers, uncles, male cousins and older brothers. This is one of the reasons the "clothes" argument is so dumb and misogynistic because most of the time, it's not like women are walking on the street in skimpy clothes and get assaulted. It's in our own homes these things happen.

yeah, that was me. I live in a one bedroom studio apartment by myself while I go to college, and so I'm very lonely. Last week a former FWB said I could come over and hang out even though I didn't want sex with him. the fact that I didn't want it didn't stop him from sticking it in after I couldn't drive home because I was tipsy (another bad idea, I know.) I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for the story its just horrible that shit like this happens.
