Many of mine seem to be specifically about whatever comments I post at the moment (I just catch the first 3-5 words), so it's veeeery obvious they're actually lurking and stalking some of us.

I’ve gotten to the point where I only believe unsolicited apologies. If someone transgresses, I just keep my mouth shut and wait to see if they figure out on their own they shouldn’t have said or done whatever it was. If I have to drag it out of them it’s not a real apology.

Never waste any more time or energy on someone who hurt you. A man that hurt you in the first place doesn’t care at all what you write or how you feel. No matter how heartfelt. If anything, it seems to solidify their “reason” for hurting you in the first place.

NEVER AGAIN. I will never again write another heartfelt plea to be treated like a human deserving of dignity and the bare minimum.
I used to care if someone thought of me as a good person or not. I now realize it doesn't matter. I don't care if they think I am terrible. Because they clearly don't care about me. There's nothing I can say to make them treat me with dignity or respect my needs.
Their values come into conflict with being a kind, decent partner. Can't change that, and it's not worth the effort to try. They are hopeless.

I'm always thankful for FDS for this point. When my ex LVM and I were in the midst of ending things,I didn't type out a paragraph saying 'Please stay with me' or 'Let's try to fix it'. Instead I deleted everything that had to with him, pictures, videos, chat conversations, blocked him on social media whilst that conversation was happening. It ended with me being in control, rather than me, bending over to accommodate him or lose any remaining self dignity. Even though it hurt to do that at the time, now, I look back at me, and I'm proud of myself.
