Nope.

He’s a comedian. For every joke that he makes like the one above, there are just as many that have himself as the punchline.

He’s been very supportive of Blake and her career. He’s openly and publicly told men to stop leaving the “dirty work” to their wives and to get in and pull their own weight, especially with regards to children.

He’s had no cheating scandals or even rumors. He’s been very public with his devotion to his wife.

I also don’t think it’s LV for someone to hope for one gender over the other. Most people do. Especially when they have multiples of the same gender. I think it’s a ridiculous rumor that he’s “pressured” Blake to give him a son when it’s pretty widely known it doesn’t work that way.

I think Blake Lively is drop dead gorgeous. But I haven’t been a fan of their relationship since the beginning because of their 11 years age gap. They started dating when she was 22 and he was 33. Other than that, they seem pretty solid, which has surprised me because I didn’t expect them to last very long.

With that said, neither the quote nor the gender rumor scream LVM to me. I know women who have said they love their kids more than their husbands. It’s completely normal. Also, everyone, including myself have gender preferences for our kids, this too is normal and doesn’t necessarily scream LVM.

People in Hollywood have that job because they want attention, fame, money, and people to fawn over them. I don’t see many famous male actor as being a “humble good guy.”

i don't care for men who are sarcastic like that even as jokes (actually made a previous comment about this in another post elaborating a bit more as to why) and i've always found that offputting about him but i don't follow or know too much about them beyond getting married at a slave plantation -_-

I really hate "jokes" like that, because I have seen that there are HVM that DON'T make those jokes, and actually hate them. It's never just a joke.

“I would take a bullet for you” is such a cop-out way of saying they love you. It’s bullshit. It’s an overblown statement designed to elicit a strong emotional response, based on a hypothetical situation that has an extremely low chance of ever happening, and it doesn’t actually say anything about real love. In short, it’s a deflection. It indicates that the person saying it doesn’t really understand what love is, or may not even be capable of love. Very manipulative - total LVM move.

...and that’s just the first part! The second part, the “joke”, gets even grosser. It’s supposed to come across that he loves his wife sooooo much, but he loves their child sooooooo much more, but it backfires. Since he’s using a deflection when talking about loving his wife, extending that sentiment to his description of his love for his child is just piggybacking on that same bs deflection. But now, it’s not his life he’d sacrifice to protect the kid, it’s his wife’s. Now that she’s done her job of popping out the kid, she’s disposable.

I don’t like him at all, but I don’t think this quote is that bad honestly. It’s obviously meant to be tongue in cheek, and I don’t think it’s outrageous to put the well-being of your kids over that of your partner, whether you’re a man or a woman. Prioritise both over everything else, but kids come first.

Yuck. Any dude who's obsessed with "having sons" is automatically a LVM to me.

I mean, unless you have some bona fide royal title at stake, I don't think there's any good reason for it.

I’m not a fan of his but as far as the quote goes, I think that’s the way all parents feel. He said it in a comedic way, but I’m sure she’d save the children over him as well 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sometimes it feels like this sub hunts for LVM either in the media or in their lives in order to pick them apart.
