Men cheat for an ego boost

Men cheat if the opportunity presents itself

Men cheat because they live in a society that says they can, there is NO punishment or repercussions for them for cheating and its the woman's fault if he does i.e. The wife/gfs fault for not being "pretty/intelligent/interesting" enough or the other woman's fault for "seducing" him.

I'm here to tell you if you are reading this, that it doesn't matter what you look like, how much you make, your status, your intelligence, if you are Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen or Martha Stewart in the house and know every move in the Kama Sutra. Men will make their OWN decisions at the end of the day consequences be damned and if they feel like cheating, THEY WILL and then afterwards go home to you and the kids with a straight face fully believing they deserved to cheat and they didn't do anything wrong.

One word: Beyoncé. It's never about who she is, it's always about who he is (a dishonest POS) and what he thinks or knows he can get away with. Societal ideas like this go a long way with helping men be terrible to the women in their lives.

My Japanese ex cheated on me with multiple girls. He had multiple girlfriends at once. He had the nerve to tell me in the beginning that if Japanese girls meet every week, there would be no reason to cheat. I should have seen that as a red flag, but instead chalked it up to culture...

Guess what, I turned down multiple travel opportunities to see him every week and stayed in my miserable apartment in Tokyo JUST for him. I’m so thankful I found about his cheating a few months before I left and was able to spend my last month solo traveling and making amazing memories. The moral of the story is to never limit yourself because of a man.

If the woman was SO bad then why wouldn't he just dump her? It's not like men have strong attachments or trauma bonds or emotional ties to a woman he's happy to cheat on.

And if the woman was so bad, then why would he even be with her in the first place?

ngl I hate this sort of “weird Japan” posting Reddit loves where something is somehow exotic and new because it’s Japan. Like it’s this weird other species.

Anyone in this sub should know that you’re just as likely to hear that sort of talk from men and other women in America or any other Western country. I’ve lived in Japan over a decade and there’s nothing special about people here, same old shit different language.
