I wasted an entire summer in college alternating between BV and a yeast infection (caused by the BV antibiotics) because of a dirty dick.
Even IF genitals were clean, your hands aren't from interacting with the world, so why don't they even wash their hands BEFORE touching their precious dicks?

BV is awful! I had issues with that myself while dating some dirt bag. Boric acid is good for both, BV and yeast infection. My gyno gave me a round of antibiotic then 30 night of boric acid suppositories, then Luvena moisturizer & lubricant every 3 night to keep everything under control. I still use it now once a week or so. Some say using just Boric Acid takes care of everything.

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants them to wash their hands before sex. I used to have to bring soap over to my ex's house so that I would be able to wash my hands but a part of me wanted to not bring it because I wanted to see how long it would take him to get some -- if I bring it to him then I will never know how long he intended to go without washing his hands, and it's not like I could ask when the last time he washed them was and get a real answer. He would pick up after the dog and cat and then want to touch me -- gross.
Also I used to make sure I had a clean towel for him when he came over and the first time I went to his house he gave me this ratty old towel and I'm like, did your roommate use this? Did you use this to wipe the dog? It's not like I could ask if it was clean and get a real answer so I didn't bother. It was hard to want to have sex with him when I felt dirty but I didn't recognize this as a legitimate reason back then.

It's beyond reasonable to expect someone to wash their hands over the course of the day and especially after picking up after pets!! I'm glad he's an ex. You deserve all the fluffy clean towels and soap and bathroom trash cans.
This is where sex ed failed us. Vaginas are self cleaning but have an incredibly delicate pH balance that can be thrown off by period blood or semen or taking antibiotics for something completely unrelated. They're high maintenance (well, a penis is too but they'd rather cut off some skin than bother to teach themselves to clean properly). Most women learn this after a few yeast infections but men have zero concept or concern that they should treat our bodies respectfully. Especially since it's very possible for the male partner to carry an undetected yeast infection or STI (or god forbid HPV) and give it back to us after we've finished treatment.

Reminds me of a posting saw in a local subreddit where a girlfriend was looking for affordable dentists because her boyfriends teeth were so bad that she couldn't bare his breath a table distance away.... this guy hadn't been to the dentist in years and his teeth were basically falling out... also she was referring to the expenses as something they would take on together........ like girl im begging you do not pay his inevitable thousands in dental work 🙄

Holy shit, is that true? Godsdamnit. I've been working so hard on fixing my teeth and they were almost done, I only had like one left. And..... several more are having issues now, my dentist was surprised how quickly one at the back rotted out (I ended a situationship in August). Ugh I feel like a moron. I'm still dealing with physical problems from this what the fuck!! This was NOT worth it. :/

I regret to inform you that it’s absolutely true. It’s a big reason I don’t share drinks with people, sharing saliva is a very quick way to end up with a cavity unless the other person has great oral health.

A few years back I dated a hardcore gamer (who was also many years older than me 🚩) who went for TWO WEEKS without brushing his teeth the longest. Usually he’d brush them every 4-5 days. His record for not showering was close to 2 months from July to August and he had started to develop patches of skin where the dirt and gunk accumulated had hardened and could not be washed off anymore. Meanwhile he had shit to say about his pubic hair “preferences” on me (I was also underage at the time). There are some vile fucking men in this world.
