She is so beautiful and definitely being a strong smart Queen who has the right priorities and clearly loves and values herself as she should. This is such a brilliant post because she so eloquently embodies what having high standards means. Love of self, from one’s highest being and true ownership.

When she says ‘unless you add to my happiness in a way that is equal to or greater than how happy I make myself’ I’m not going to spend time with you. That’s so healthy and completely spot on! The statement could end there.

It’s completely empowering.

But....(and this is so hard, and I still catch myself using this language sometimes).... but this is high level and so worth noticing and practicing because our thoughts and language literally shape our perspective and how we see ourselves and the world.

By tacking on ‘or you make me even happier...’ at the end it steals from the empowerment.

No one makes me feel. I make myself feel. I am the one responsible for my happiness and I surround myself with people who add to it. However I am feeling, the responsibility for those feelings comes from me. I am the one making myself feel my entire range of emotions because I generate them. Emotions are not something that happens to me from outside forces even though it can certainly feel that way.

As a feeling person this distinction was a serious epiphany for me. So when I heard this in the post I wanted to point it out, and double down in case other feelers out there are ready to really feel this vibe right now.

Loving and respecting myself and truly owning the Queen or goddess inside of me makes me so freaking happy and empowered. Standing from this place is my life’s practice.

It’s so freaking good!
