I often see men on reddit complain that they don't suggest dates because they don't know where the woman would like to go and they don't want to pick somewhere that she wouldn't like and get shot down. Well, boo hoo. I don't have time to date a man who doesn't have enough confidence to hear "no, I don't like that idea, please think of something else" for an answer. And like another user in this thread said, if you've been paying attention, you'll know what she'd like.

Any man who's been doing his due diligence and asking you about your hobbies/interests in the talking stage should have plenty of ideas to work from when planning a date. It's a great way of determining how closely he's been paying attention, his willingness to put in effort and his desire to impress you and make you happy. It's a great blueprint for how the relationship will turn out.

If he's not planning a date (especially the first date) he just doesn't care.

I've dated SO MANY MEN who come out with this bull. Meanwhile I have a list of 10 different awesome date ideas. If you've been living in a city for years, or worse, your WHOLE LIFE and you can't think of anything good to do, that means you've spent most of your time sitting at home doing nothing. Lame.
