Even attractive, educated, rich older guys are not necessarily the way to go. Why is he still single at 40 and looking to date 20 year olds? Does he have ex wife & kid baggage? Is he commitment phobic? Is he a fuckboy? Is he looking for a troubled young woman to dominate & control?
I can't imagine an attractive woman with self-esteem would go for this type of man over someone within her own age range.
I used to date much older men in my 20s, but I was an emotional wreck with zero self-esteem. None of my friends did the same. They were all attractive, confident, educated women who married within their age range.

I did the same in my late twenties. Those guys in their mid to late thirties were honestly the weirdest I’ve ever met. I’m now with someone slightly younger than me, which I wasn’t expecting but has been a revelation in many ways. He has much less baggage and can still get it up five times in a row!

Interesting phrasing re: baggage.
The imagery in my head is of a woman being stuck at the luggage conveyor belt trying to manage and attend to endless bags meanwhile the man who’s bagged it is to begin with is throwing a mere temper tantrum 15 feet away refusing to pick any of the damn bags up while the lady is being squished by his bags, drowning, both hands full with no space for her hands to reach out for help.

Porn fantasies, few millionaires publicly preying on vulnerable abused youth using their assets, their great grandfather's pedophile uncle grooming a kid into being his bride during the war with age gap of around 30 years, and then them thinking that's the goals and the norm everywhere. It's hilarious to see them convincing THEMSELVES that they age like fine wine and have more of a shot with young women than their actual looksmatch peers with sexy body, hot face, sharp jawline and head full of shining locks. And meanwhile in reality these unsuspecting young girls are doing ANYTHING BUT dreaming of an old dusty, that's five generations ahead of them. K-pop idols, fictional characters, cute TV and music stars are way more interesting to young ladies from what I've seen.

This has always struck me as odd. A lot of men's rights activists will constantly talk about male suicide being the highest and the most ignored, but then turn around and say that women hit the wall at thirty and men peak after thirty... like which one is it, sir?

Those Men are just writing fanfiction about old age. The reality is quiet tragic. They live alone, the kids don’t call, they have no friends, they’re in the cusp of losing their jobs to younger more educated and qualified generation. But if they lose their job they will have no other source of emotional stimulation and sense of self worth and might end it.
It’s coping for men, they know life of terrible for them.

I cringe at the thought of being with someone who’s more than 3 years older. Like I actually can’t fathom it. It disturbs me for some reason. The most I’ll go is 5 years and that’s honestly pushing it.

When I was 18 I was getting takeout and a dude that was at least 27ish was trying to flirt on me, I just wanted my damn chicken, when I get back to the car my mom was like omg, didn't you see? He was flirting with you!! she was so excited and I told her that he looked old, she then told me my brother is about the same age and I told her to ask him his opinion on me dating a man his age, see if it'd look cute

When I was younger I agreed with this wholeheartedly. But what changed my mind is that one of my teachers was so amazingly brilliant and funny, and she spoke to us about her marriage a couple of times over the years - he was 8 years her senior. She said there is so much respect and patience between them, and they are a great fit together. The age difference (as she explained to 15yo me) meant he was more mature and they could connect better when she was younger, and then have space to grow together.
She was smart and confident and happy, and still is. Now, I think 10 yrs diff may be pushing it, but I don’t feel it is too weird (talking about 25yo and above).
