Sis, as a rule of thumb, anytime a guy makes you feel the need to ask other people to decipher his behavior, know that he is going to make your life a living hell. Healthy sane men with no hidden agenda won't confuse you.

Reiterating some others, block & delete confusing weirdos who turn a date into an emotional job interview. And yes, I have been asked the question about lying in a job interview for a job that required an extensive background check. My answer? Of course I lie. If a friend asks me if their teeth are yellow and I know they can't do anything about it, I say "you look great!" If some aggressive scrote won't leave me alone, I will lie and flatter until I am safe. If my ex-husband is getting in my business, I greyrock and I lie. But my family, my taxes, my work, get scrupulous honesty.

So this guy is a nut case with emotionally weird questions. You owe him no explanations nor answers. Who cares why he even asked. Run.

Translation - how easily I call you emotionally unstable in order to disregard your needs? - Do you keep people in your life that are toxic? Will you accept MY future toxic behaviour? How easily will it be for me to unhinge you? - Liars and manipulators always start a relationship by saying things like “I never lie” or “I always say exactly what I mean” so that you accept everything they say as law. Later, he will gaslight you about things they say to confuse you and create a trauma bond.

This whole thing sounds absurd. You cannot meet someone online out of guilt. This man probably wanted to rape and murder you. Have you ever considered a total break from dating until you figure out FDS and then just slowly dip your toes in? This situation is horrifying to me. You should have LEFT when he asked you the first question. You never should have even met him. I honestly believe he wanted to physically harm you. I’m sorry if this seems harsh but I’m concerned for your safety and dating online with being so understanding of creepy situations.

This takes me back to the late nineties when I came home from college to be taken out to the weirdest lunch I’ve ever been on. My dad picked me up from the airport with a family friend (B, a few years older than me) and B’s friend (age unknown). Now this guy was from Australia, but I think that’s unrelated to how odd he was. Amazon.com was around, but I had never visited the website, much less purchased anything from it.

This guy was giving me his undivided attention, but he wasn’t flattering or flirting. He interrogated me with questions about Amazon.com in rapid succession: Had I ever bought anything from them? Had I ever bought anything from a website similar to Amazon.com? Would I consider it?

I answered with short no’s for each question because I really wanted to visit with my loved ones, but he was not deterred. B was no help (years later he came out as LVM), my Moderate Value father was doing nothing, so I decided to take care of the situation myself.

I fired questions back at him - rapid fire, the same way he had questioned me: Do do work for Amazon.com? Do you work for another company similar to it? Do you want to start a company like it?

I was emboldened by my family’s presence, and have always been a little mouthy. I might not do it again in similar situations. Either way, it shut him up for the rest of lunch.

I never found out wether I was a research subject or practice for a future PUA, although l later learned from B the guy had some clever PUA trick that would surely work on Pickmeishas.

The last time a guy was asking me awkward questions like this, it was because he was a huuuuuge pothead and thought he was being a deep person, saying he just likes to “think” deeply about things, when really it was all just super cringe and he had stunted social skills. We weren’t even on a date, we were at work working. Seriously, I hate all the men I meet at work.

Edit: I would like to add, this guy also asked if he could rap for me his own lyrics and good god it was the most crass ass song I ever heard. This nerdy little kid with a jew fro rapping to me about ‘biches and hoes’ in extremely gross sexual content, and he thought that would be OK to share with me. Again, I fucking hate all the men I gotta work around with.
