This topic gets brought up nonstop over at manosphere how it is mens' biological desire to mate with virgins, and why they care so much about N-count, and how they don't desire women over 30 because of their decreased fertility. I just wanted to clear something. Where in nature do we see that?

No, those above mentioned things have NOTHING to do with biology and nature. They are plain old patriarchal concepts. I was over on subreddit r/PurplePillDebate and once again someone brought it up and then gave me an example of (of course) lions and how one male breeds with a lot of females and kills all the cubs once he becomes the leader. I'm just gonna copy and paste the response I left to that person because I think I summarized it pretty accessibly:

Firstly, I have to get this out of my system: I love how everybody resorts to lions as the only other specie on Earth to explain male right to polygamy, female subservience and any other cOncEPts oF NaTurE. No other specie behaves like lions actually but even with them. Female lions choose to breed with the strongest biggest mate to secure the best set of genes getting passed on to their future generations. The male has to prove himself to them by literally putting his life on the line in order to get them. Does he care if they are virgins? Does he care how many partners they had? Does he worry about how old they are? Sure, he kills all the cubs - is it him trying to ensure he will be the only father? - probably. But he is also the one with the best genes at that given time. He had to do whole a lot of work to secure females and not by forcing them to do what HE wants. Other species - it's even more obvious females are the choosers. Male have to fight, look good, provide resources, impress in order to mate. And maybe nature created some special penis shape or whatever - the bottom line female has to CHOOSE it (edit: the person brought up something like some species have penises that's designed to push out sperm of previous mates). Not be told that she is a s lut for having more than one partner or get shunned, disowned by the community, stoned to death because she is not a virgin. Male humans naturally want to pass on their genes of course, but instead of competing they decided to abuse us in a whole bunch of different forms in order to secure a mate. No, sorry, but virginity, high N number, and age - all made up by human males, not biology.
