I had a guy best friend once! He held on to my phone and wallet for me while we were out drinking one night, because my dress didn’t have pockets and I hated wearing a purse. No biggie, he was my BEST FRIEND!

I texted him from my laptop a few days later and noticed some really suspect previous messages.... which were MY nudes from MY phone, sent to HIM. He went through my phone, sent himself my nudes, deleted the messages and gave my phone back like nothing happened. Even took credit for being such a good pal and keeping it safe for me. He, an android user, had no clue that my MacBook and iPhone could sync messages.

I obviously stopped being his friend out of sheer disgust. A year later, I found those exact nudes on a revenge porn forum that was organized by city/state, and contained my first name and last initial. This means people (read: disgusting men, users of the site) I knew were easily able to identify me, then comment on the post to share more private information (my college, my sister’s name, my place of work, etc.).

I had to contact the owners of the site and tell them I was underage so they would remove the post, after giving me a hard time about it. The photos were re-uploaded within a week and they refused to take them down the second time. Things eventually blew over, but only because hundreds of photos were uploaded to that site every day without any of the women (or girls!!!!) knowing.

This is why I fucking hate men.

I’m immediately suspicious of women who only have guy friends. Or the ones who describe themselves as “one of the guys”. The cool girl is just a pick-me in disguise.

wow, extremely not true. if you have a friendship like this, maybe reevaluate things. i have two guy best friends. one of them is a musical genius and an architect. we usually get dunkin donuts or make music. the other is in my master’s program with me and graduated already. we helped each other with our math and science courses. i guess the catch is, one is asexual, and one is gay.

My guy best friend went on to college and told me a new story every week of his other female friends’ boyfriends manhandling or straight-up raping them in the next room over. He could hear it going on every time. His answer to “why didn’t you help her” was always “I was scared” or “I was going to, but I didn’t.” Sooo...you just kinda suck, huh.

Straight guy best friends always want one thing: your love or your body and they will feel entitled to it because they are such “nice guys.” One guy friend began to resent me when I kept rejecting his advances and he turned our friends against me. Another one when we were drunk scooped me up in his arms while I was sleeping on his couch and took me to his bedroom. When I realized what was happening, I yeeted on out of there and he followed in his boxers. Disgusting. And other guy friends will just completely stop talking to you after finding a girlfriend.
