I’m moving into a new place this weekend. Not a mansion or anything, but it’s a lot nicer than the apartment I’m currently living in. It has a gorgeous kitchen, huge bedroom, plenty of space for me to get a bigger desk, and a nice yard as well. I’m slowly moving some of my things over there and my boyfriend came with me to help and see the place for the first time.

He was like, “This is such a nice place. You deserve it.” I was a little taken aback. He also said, “You’re a hard worker, smart, kind. You deserve the world.”

I’ve never been with a man that not only encourages me to have nice things and the things I want, but actively tells me I deserve them too. I’ve been so used to petty jealousy over getting a raise or making any sort of accomplishment, with men scoffing at my purchases for nice kitchen gadgets or a new handbag. Never again! Ladies, we deserve to live the glamorous and lovely lives we were destined for.
