False allegations are getting worse now.

This is not 100% related to this or false accusations, but one thing I've been seeing everywhere recently from movies to games, to news and everywhere really, is that when people talk about a woman, they still sometimes call her a girl even if she's in her 30s while a male who just became 18 will never again be called a boy unless it's being used as an insult. I think that's a really big contributor to the empathy gap that allows things like false accusations to be so one-sided.

I won't say it's false but I won't say it's true either. And I don't understand this obsession of posting it on social media first. Go to the police first and then to social media. If your accusation has credence, why not do both?

Remember when you hear this that the accusation(s):

Had to be brought to the police in the first place. Sexual violence and abuse in general are vastly underreported. So someone can make a false accusation and hide under the fact that these accusations are rarely reported and instead let the court of public opinion handle it.
Legal officials have to decide whether or not to dismiss it for a variety of reasons.
Juries, nuff said.
It has to be proven to be false in court. Not inconclusive, not probable or improbable but it has to be proven to be false for it to count as a false accusation.

I was given injuries like one of the girls after a night out, but i consented i was just dumb.

I was raped by a woman and had no injuries though later on too.

Harry Sisson just lied to people as far as i know though, i didn't know any allegations.

False allegation is really a serious problem. I don't know about Joe Gatto, but Harry Sisson's case was literally nothing at all. Nobody can show any evidence to prove the accusation whatsoever.

My opinion is that medias should not be reporting about these kind of things before any legal action was taken. Hell, in both cases, no one even filed a law suit. It's ridiculous

I don't know Joe Gatto so I won't comment on his case. I won't condone what Harry Sisson did. He lied and manipulated multiple women on Snapchat to get nudes. If he desired to see nudes so bad, he could have only talked to 1 or just went to an NSFW subreddit. If a woman lied about her relationship status and exchanged nudes with multiple men, that's also scummy behavior. However Harry is not a sexual predator and he should not be charged with a crime. I hope he deletes Snapchat and grows up.

Idk if it is getting "worse." It's been terrible for quite a while. It is crazy, though, how women chase high-status men and then complain that their engagement with him cannot be consensual because he is high status.

The power dynamic thing really sticks in my craw.

One on hand, yeah, totally a thing for people who have some sort of social or monetary status to abuse it to take advantage of others if they are the type of person to do so. I won't deny that for a second.

But on the other hand...where exactly are the lines of "power dynamics" drawn? When do they start? When do they stop? Does one have to have a certain type of "power?" Because "power dynamics" exist all over society in large and small ways. If a man makes more money than his wife, than he has a "power dynamic" over her. Is everything they do then subject to being called out as abuse because said financial "power dynamics?"

What about a couple where say, one person suffers from severe mental issues and the other does not? Is the mentally healthy person inherently in a relationship with a "power dynamic" that is inherently problematic?

Bosses have power over their employees. Does that make every employer/employee relationship inherently problematic? I know some of the more....radical lefties would unironically says yes. But those people are a lost cause. Even if the socialist revolution happens (which I genuinely want btw) there still needs to be, like, leadership roles in labor, lol.

And are we REALLY gonna act like a young and attractive and flirtatious women DOESN'T have power and ISN'T wielding it is she so chooses? Even with an opposite party who may have a "higher status" like fame and money?

This is where the problem comes in. On one hand I personally think it's scuzzy for much older men to flirt and hook up with younger (legal) women. But that doesn't inherently make it wrong. And that doesn't mean the woman was inherently preyed upon.

This is the issue...these people who toss around "power dynamics" love to remove all agency from these women....in the name of advocacy and feminism. What, is the power of the patriarchy so strong it hypnotizes young women and mind controls them to do things they explicitly don't want to do? Cuz that is, without a hint of irony, basically what these people are saying.

A young woman choosing to engage in sexual activity with an older male celeb isn't inherently a victim. And they let the "power dynamics" argument do all the heavy lifting as if all of these women are just too weak willed to not disengage whenever they feel uncomfortable or say no if they want to.

By their logic, any person with a degree of fame and wealth is instantly abusing anyone they are in a relationship with if that person doesn't have the same exact status as them.

So if like, two celebrities are dating...but one is significantly more high profile than the other, is the lesser known celebrity being taken advantage of by power dynamics?

What if the celebrity is dating someone in the industry, but not an actor or director or anybody but say like, someone behind the scenes....a production assistant or a costume designer or something less glamorous...power dynamics?

It's so wrong how people are ready to belive stuff without evidence. Even when there's no mb malicious intent. We know that creating of false memories is ridiculously easy. If you hear something bad about a guy you knew 15 years ago on TV it's easy for your brain to create similar memory. Even a note in a diary would be something from that time

On my main page I saw a comment where feminists were talking about how women’s body is affected by pregnancy and how they’re more likely to die because of pregnancy. While men don’t have to worry about nothing but simply cumming inside of them and that’s it.

I went on there and commented that I’m pro choice myself. But being pro choice means I’m also for the man CHOOSING to financially support the child or not(not being forced to pay child support by the government).
