It's the obvious consequence of the popularisation of such a hateful term.

First it's "it doesn't mean all masculinity is toxic"

Then it's "most masculinities are toxic"

Then "all masculinity is toxic"

It's a short jump from there to "there's just something toxic about men - they are masculine after all".

This IS the common usage of the term.

When men tell you en masse that a term is being used to denigrate and insult us. And you choose to not believe them. You're being a sexist.

What even are the traits of toxic masculinity to these people? They never elaborate, contextualise (except one refering to gaming) or name specific traits. It just reads as "toxic masculinity!" "masculinity toxic" "meh mascu-toxic-linity!"

Strangely enough, using the term toxic masculinity is displaying toxic femininity, as it shifts blame to the man and removes accountability of the woman. But try getting people like these to grasp that.

I find it interesting that they use 'most crime is committed by men' (which is accurate and statistically backed), and then treat it as if it was 'most men commit crime' (which is not).

If, in a city of 1,000,000 people, there are 50,000 crimes committed by 25,000 people, statistics show that 20,000 of those criminals were men.

However, 20,000 out of 500,000 is 4% of men, which makes the reverse false.

Now this is vastly oversimplified (the percentages of population that are punished for crime are actually well below 4%), but the point is illustrated. Even if 80% of crime is committed by men, it does not mean that 80% of men commit crime.

Toxic Masculinity has very little to do with Men's Issues. Its just "Patriarchy Hurts men too" rephrased, in the end its just about "helping" Men so that its helpful to Women.

Meh, shrug it off. Reasoning with feminists is a futile endeavor. I've come to realize the reason most feminists despise masculinity/manhood and dismiss it as toxic is solely out of envy. When you consider that every hallmark of our civilization was build on vestiges of masculinity (industrious industriousness, intelligence, strength, valor, perseverance, self sacrifice, courage, integrity, leadership) it's quite easy to see why it leaves so many women feeling inadequate and unwholesome. The only vestiges of femininity most people can think of are vanity, gentleness, and perhaps maternity. Kind of bleak in comparison. And ask yourself this, if masculinity is toxic as the idiot in that post says, why are feminists so intent on imposing masculine traits on girls? (Assertiveness, authority, leadership skills, practicality)

Yeah, ignore them.
