It’s funny, once you stop accepting bigotry as normal, how often you see it: the frivolous acceptance of “women only spaces” as though having gender segregation is some sort of ironic expression of equality.

But a “safe space” especially, tends to be used as a place for sexist bigotry to be protected from scrutiny.

One could imagine a “safe space” for white people, where they use that spaces to “vent” about their grotesque opinions about other races.

That is essentially what we’re talking about. It’s just the misandrist bigotry of our time is so omnipresent, people accept it as normal.

I think that’s the funny thing, really, is people are products of their times. People acclimate to “normal”, whatever it is.

But there is nothing normal at all about sexist segregation and bigotry.
