I did the same with my ex gf. She was cool with it for a few months and then threw a fit, in public no less, demanding that I agree to marry her. I know a couple of people online who are in relationships and haven't gotten married. The longest one have been together for about 8 years. The girl tells me she has no interest in getting married. They both feel as though marriage would "ruin things", and see it as something unnecessary.

Not that I use them as some sort of standard. I know this is a rare situation, but I feel as though this might become more common as time goes by.

I also remember seeing a thread on Reddit a few months ago, about a woman going on a rant about how stupid she thinks marriages are, and how she's tired of all the people in her life asking her when she's gonna "find a man and settle down". A bunch of women seemed to share similar feelings on the subject.

Though this doesn't mean men are off the hook, either. Even without marriage, things like monkey-branching are still likely to happen. And you'd still have to go through the agonizing process of actual finding one of those girls who don't wanna marry. Not worth it.
