Early on in our 20+ year marriage, my wife (who always wore her blonde hair long) for some reason got it cut to where it barely touched her shoulders. I was shocked and appalled. I told her she looked like a dyke. (I still had some alpha in those days). She has thrown this at me many times over the years in fights: "How do you think that makes me feel?" I unplugged about 3 months ago, and have made slow but steady progress in self improvement. Lifting, running, lost 15 pounds, looking and feeling better. Fighting has stopped, anger at wife is almost nil. Today, she went and got a $12 haircut, which means she chopped off again. Question: Does this call for amused mastery, a mild rebuke.. Nothing? She KNOWS I like her hair long, and that I HATE short hair, so getting it chopped is giving me the finger. I know holding frame when I see her will be hard, so I am preparing myself. Thanks.
