The other night, when my wife was a bit drunk, she says to me, "You're dying to know who I'm attracted to, aren't you?" My response should have been A&A but I'm afraid I fell for it and couldn't help asking her who they were. She wouldn't tell me of course.

[EDIT] This might have been triggered because after the comments about her possibly cheating on the previous post, I've been asking her about where she has been during the day, and she saw me on her phone couple of times. I have her passwords (she knows this) and nothing is on her phone or emails. GPS tracking on her iphone shows she's home most of the time. If there was an affair, I'm pretty sure it was a while ago. I am classifying this as a shit test, except for the following. When I posted my first FR, talking about how my wife told me to get a girlfriend during my beta period, several commentators said it sounded like she probably had had an affair. Also, a few days ago, she told me there were some things she wanted to share with me but that she didn't feel comfortable sharing. She kept on saying, "but I didn't do anything wrong." The way she said it got my intuition tingling. I'm not a jealous person (though now that I've been reading TRP, I am more aware of the possibility of cheating), but that did prompt me to check the texts and emails and I found nothing except some flirty messages (mildly flirty - with winks) from one divorced dad (a very good looking guy but definitely more beta than alpha) from kids school, to which my wife responded in a friendly but appropriate manner. I had noticed before she acted a bit funny around this guy - very animated when he was around.

So, if I had to guess, I would say she might have had some tingles for this guy, and was perhaps on the verge of an affair but nothing physical happened, but she's feeling guilty about it and wants to come clean.

My gut is to not to talk to her any further about it, at the risk of looking like beta mate guarding, but I thought it might be helpful to get other people's thoughts.

[EDIT] Maybe based on the below comments, I should just confront her with some of the emails. The thing is, she didn't send anything inappropriate. It's just the emails from the guy that are borderline inappropriate - and most are not clearly inappropriate. Most are just gratuitous winks, like: "Good, see you later. ;)" or "Thanks. ;)" There is only one that's clearly over the line.

[EDIT 2] The rest of the relationship is going well. She's otherwise treating me with respect, sex is on demand any time I want it, etc.

[EDIT 3] My main question is the following. I suspect she had an infatuation with this guy and didn't shut his flirting down when she should have. I think it is unlikely it went further (because 1) she had young kids until recently and she does not use babysitters so she has very little time alone and 2) most of her communications with the guy are friendly but not personal) though I can't be sure. Should I confront her or would that be too beta?

[EDIT 4] Here is my plan of attack. I am going to print out the inappropriate message, show it to my wife, and tell her I'm going to go confront the guy who sent it.
