More often than not, a woman accused/guilty of rape is said to have “raped” if she is conventionally unattractive by societal standards. At least in the good ol’ USA that seems to be the case. You really don’t see too many news reports of attractive women raping people, despite evidence saying otherwise.

Not to defend the media, as they are often POSs. In some places "only men can rape" thanks to laws that define rape as "penis into vagina" to keep it simple. So that media has its hands tied. It's terribly stupid, and needs changed last decade, but it's the way those regions laws were written.

Note how carefully the title is worded. The woman is called "teacher" and the boys is called "student". Completely gender neutral, knowing that most people just browse headlines and don't read deeper into most articles.

IMHO the proper title would be

"Female teacher rapes underage boy"

but they never want to refer to perpetrator as a "woman" or "female" but above all they never want to refer to a rape victim as a "man" or "boy" or "male".

Very much unlike in cases when the rapist is a man and the victim is a woman or a girl.
