So I’m not sure what is wrong with me and if I’m the only one, but when I see a lot of the misandristic content these days, for example the ‘barbie movie’ where the men are portrayed as dumb, useless second class citizens with no self worth or self respect and are subservient to the women in the film. I almost get a sense of shame as a man. Not because I agree with what they are attempting to portray because I absolutely do not agree. But the fact that as men we can be subject to such denigrating, hateful dehumanising rhetoric and we seem to be almost defenseless to it and we just have to suck it up, I find this to be quite humiliating in my opinion. Because this could never happen to women. They are constantly protected from any criticism no matter how big or small. Yet as men, in particular heterosexual men, we are treated like punching bags for mainstream and social media and pop culture. The only people batting for us and opposing this misandristic rhetoric seems to be some small conservative media groups and men’s rights activists. But every time they stand up for us they are usually ridiculed every time by the masses of feminists and mainstream media who are much larger and seemingly have more influence. I have no doubt that if more men supported each other and didn’t enable and encourage acts which put down our own gender just to pander to women. (Simp) we would be able to have more solidarity and take a firm stance against the misandry. But unfortunately there is very little solidarity among us.

People (feminists) pretend to care about men’s mental health. And they advocate for men expressing their emotions and talking more about their feelings. But then when men take an opposing stance against blatant feminist man hating propaganda they are told to stop whining and that women have been treated like that for years, which is complete nonsense and women have never been subject to the constant denigration through movies, TV and social media the way men have and continue to be, ever.

I notice a lot of other guys do a really good job at ignoring this misandristic content that is aimed at emasculating and degrading the male gender and it doesn’t seem to have an effect on their psyche. But I personally struggle with this at times. Content like this makes me angry and plays on my mind but also fills me with a sense of shame. It makes me wonder what would the women in my life think of me if they are seeing the same content I’m witnessing portraying men in such degrading ways, Its important to me that I am respected by the women in my life. As any self respecting man would want to be. But these women are constantly bombarded with content telling them to not respect me, because I am a man and apparently because i was born a male I deserve the worst and everything I do is wrong and I should be considered lower class. That is genuinely the message this type of content is propagating. Im curious whether the propaganda is doing what it is intended to do and causing them think less of me, And think less of men in general, Or are they unaffected? I understand this will obviously vary depending on the person, but I would love to hear some feedback from some other men about their relationships with women and whether the feminist propaganda has been detrimental to these relationships or if the hateful rhetoric has been rejected by the women in their lives and had no effect. I’m hoping most women are smart enough to see through the misandristic content and make their own judgements without basing their opinions off of how deranged feminists tell them they should feel, but it’s clear some women are very impressionable and very susceptible to this type of propaganda, sadly.

I take a lot of pride in my masculinity and I think being a man is amazing but also very difficult as it is suppose to be, But when we can be treated like punching bags so easily and so frequently by these mass media machines, with little to no push back, I get a sense of embarrassment. I don’t think men should be so easily ridiculed and made fun of without consequences considering we make the world go around and we are the reason women live such comfortable lives in the west. I just feel the male gender generally speaking deserves so much more respect but all we get is hate and degradation. I understand this type of propaganda is designed to beat on a mans psyche, and make us feel emasculated and inferior, I just want to fix my mindset so I can not allow it to have that effect. Any advice on how to deal with this would be much appreciated and any feedback is welcomed. Thanks
