If you spend too much time in any group or any pill, you'll be jaded, alienated and be part of an echo chamber. There are good points to the redpill, especially redpill from 10 years ago e.g. being aware of divorce courts, false accusations, being aware of white knights. Now it seems like a lot of "alpha male" podcasters bring on OnlyFans guests just to dunk on them. As well as many of them having their own useless PUA or get rich quick courses that gullible, young, impressionable boys/men buy.

It's seems like, instead of the young men simping for women, they're simping for their favorite redpiller.

The biggest issue for me with the redpill nowadays is that redpill has become associated with MRA and redpill associated with misogyny.

I am new to a lot of this stuff, having been married for 20 years, but now as a divorced male the trends I see out there scare the shit out of me. All these different terms and labels (incel, misogynist, misandrist, Chad, MGTOW, LDAR, etc) is enough to drive a guy mad.

I have yet to see any positive article about men who voice their concerns over feminism and the blatant one-sidedness of the world that backs all men into a corner and then wonders why they come clawing out.

I wanted to date, but now I am not so sure. I'm even thinking hookups are even scarier an offer an even great outlet for something shitty to happen to me. I won't like and say I love being with a woman, but seriously guys, I am scared to try now.

I can see why the rise of AI girlfriends, porn, OnlyFans, video sex chat, etc are on the rise... I'll be 60 in a couple years and I honestly don't want to spend the little I have left of life fighting against all this. I already am living alone and had absolutely no desire to cohabit, now I don't even think a LAT type of relationship is worth it.

I think the more old school red pill that raised awareness about issues of female-male attraction and dating issues was beneficial .

I think their more modern agenda about how men should date isn’t so beneficial.

The were huge efforts to supresss the red pill movement.

They slandered Warren Farrell, so Jordan Peterson showed up. They slandered Jordan Peterson, and MRA fighter Andrew Tate shows up.

Rollo Tomassi himself chose his name to convey that he is prepared for this fight, and espouses that the red pill will always be in this situation.

However, if you see things like "PsycHacks" on YouTube, it seems to me that red pill awareness as become rather mainstream.

If you watch the original movie, it's rather extraordinary that feminists were successful in getting theatres to cancel it.

Rollo Tomassi just says that the red pill is just about offering men tools to imptove their lives, with no judgement.

All it is, is a different opinion. That's all it is.

they literally encourage men to live a playboy's lifestyle. ngl some of their messages are good but a lot of them are more harmful than helpful. and myron seems like one of those alpha males who cant even grill a brisket.

i recommend alexander grace and melanie king if you want wholesome content.

it really comes down to the mindset of the person.

If you are a mentally stable person i think its a great "tool". If you are in a mentally bad state, i guess it does harm people.

The "movement" probably neither nor. Ended up with some men becoming influencers, then explaining men up and forth what they are doing wrong, while casually forgetting to mention the part where the key to happiness was fame and fortune through being an internet personality.

I do not mean to imply the whole "grifter" thing, but it feels disconnected, and professionalized to me. Studios, shows, deals, sponsors, Thumbnail optimizations, networks, merch, you get the idea.

Nothing wrong with making money, but how do I put this? If in the Matrix Morpheus would have ended up being on Podcasts in Zion, having discussions with his PR person, following content schedules, and promoting his book "What THEY don't want you to know about the Matrix (from the award winning author of "From UNPLUG to VICTORY - a new you"), then the whole idea of what the red pill and waking up and all that was would be perceived a little different now would it?

Especially did not help once the young, make up wearing, filter applying, dressed up influencers came in to "help".

As a general idea, I stand by knowing is better than not knowing.

The point of being an actual human and an actual person, let alone the whole modernist idea of the individual and freedom is to be able to make real decisions.

But you are not making these if what you do is based on lies.

I strongly believe men being part of an honest and open public conversation is putting them on a better spot. They should know about divorce law, they should know about paternity fraud, the young men struggling should know about the reality of dating behavior and what women want - not what they are being told they want, and so on.

This is good and healthy. Where it sometimes becomes a bit iffy for me is when it strays into anti-and-about-women instead of women being a secondary thing to the whole pro-and-front-and-center-men topic.

No that does not mean I want to go easy on things. No I don't think men should not be allowed to state their grievances, or openly talk about gender based discrimination against them and call things out, even when they are in effect automatically a proposition of opposition to pro-women ideologies and the current system. But there is a mushy line between those two areas, and I especially think if it ends up effectively just being conversations about women with women at the center again, it does not really achieve anything.

TLDR: All in all I think it can be a good small thing of a large requirement for long overdue massive social changes regarding men, society, and all matters related to that. It is time they start to come to a table, accept and deal with reality, and chart out a route into the modern ages and their own futures.

It's too vast to say. A lot of content out there is volatile and to an unsuspecting or easily impressionable man, it might seem fine. For example, actually participating in misogyny (when men can identify it as men, not when women identify it from their POV) is bad. On the other hand, self-policing is good. Men can self-police fine. The problem is feminism is oftentimes at odds with men's movements and the women tend to be more vocal than men, so much so they will even push men out of the way claiming it's not "their" fight. Quite the contrary, it is men's fight. It was always men's fight to self-police.

Red pill might make you question how to treat women, but going down that rabbit hole is a slippery slope to thinking all women are the same, all women are bad, etc. Just like feminism CAN do to women. I don't think red pill was for anything other than teaching men more about the things that happen in the real world. The problem with that is that it doesn't follow any key principles like don't harm people, or don't teach people to have no morals. No, it lets people make their own conclusions and those conclusions tend to be leaning towards being jaded, just like with feminism for women. The insidious nature of movements today is what makes people cry wolf, and rightfully so. It doesn't change the fact that these movements need to start from somewhere, and the longer we wait, the worse it'll be.

EDIT: TRP itself isn't a movement. I was a bit confused while writing this or something. Maybe it's because I came back to it later and forgot what I meant. Maybe I was thinking it was MGTOW.. idk, I forgot. TRP does get twisted up by content creators for selling a narrative about eating or getting eaten, that type of deal, and I find that to be harmful. That was my original point. We don't need more PUAs or manwhores, just my opinion.

Helps

Helps men, and is either a wash, or slightly detrimental to women.

Very similar (IMHO) to feminism, which helps women, and hurts men.

But if your a disaffected young man red-pill is much better than other outlets of frustration. And this is where the peanut gallery gets it all wrong. You can't ignore or pacify frustration, it must have an outlet. And telling men that they are wrong, and that all the problems in the world are their fathers and grandfathers fault does nobody any good.

Conversely, telling men that all the problems are not their fault, and providing actionable ways to fix them, DOES help. Even if the fix is snake-oil, giving an outlet for the angst is VERY important. Specifically, get a job, lose weight, clean your room, and carry the heaviest thing you can lift. These are all manna from heaven for men who feel ignored by society.

Blue Pill = how you were aculturated by society to perform your role harmoniously in it

Red Pill = looking at society and your place in it from outside how you were trained to view it and your own biases; this is also called self awareness

Black Pill = same as Red Pill, but without moral constraints or considerations

Learning The Red Pill knowledge is not a "choice" anymore. Every day men are having the truth shoved down their throats by divorce/family courts, by seeing false SA allegations, more & more draconian laws, etc etc

The "Choice" is only in what men do with it.

Wouldn't really call these people "Red Pill" either. That would be people like Karen Straughan.

I mean "Fit and Fresh" is literally trash. Their relatedness to "Red Pill" is something they want in order to justify their bullshit. Sad to see new people see the movement in this way. They are in fact everything the movement stands against.
