This year I started to hate gyms. I’m fortunate enough that I get to go to the gym in the morning (around 9-11 AM), normally men go really early or really late because of work, but I’m a music producer so I have more wiggle room with my time. The issue is, at these times there are mostly women and girls at the gym and this year they just completely ruined it for me.

For starters, they all hire trainers which take up space ( the gym I go to is from my apartment building, so not that big) and it’s really annoying. For whatever reason, they also use all of the machines at once, like supersets and I promise it’s not necessary. So if I’m benching and get up for water for 10 seconds 3 different people use and change up the weights, gym etiquette is N/A.

And finally, I always feel like they are either watching me or just completely ignoring me. I’m typing this sitting on a bench, doing some inclined DB press, and when I was moving the bench around, this girl would just wouldn’t move. I didn’t say excuse me because we had headphones and she was standing a literal foot away from me, just standing there, and refused to move. I finally said, “excuse me” and had to say it 3 times before she looked at me with a horrible smug face and moved half a step. I don’t get where the entitlement comes from.

I’m an above average looking guy, I keep fit, I do a bit of modeling, I’m a platinum music producer, I have some real estate investments etc and yet women seem to intrinsically hate me, for just saying excuse me. I honestly think sometimes it might be because either I’m 5’9 or because I don’t look at them. The vibes also feel off/hostile.

Idk man maybe I’m ranting but gyms were supposed to be a safe space where I could blow off steam, now I just feel uncomfortable.
