I don't like seeing it as sides. If a feminist is interested in genuine equality, I find that we have a lot of common ground. If the feminist is just a misandrist in disguise then I find it pretty easy to dismiss that person as not worth my time.

I'm interested in coming up with solutions to problems affecting men, not scoring points in an internet argument.

Male here, I was a regular contributor to both /r/feminisms and /r/MensRights until I was stealth-banned from /r/feminisms. Upon messaging the moderators about it, I was given a reply insulting my knowledge and experience on feminist matters. When I refuted the claims, I was simply ignored. I'd really like to contribute to certain issues on both sides of the debate, but even when my opinion is unpopular, MRAs have been much more understanding and willing to discuss the issue than feminists.

I'm a dude. I support both feminist and MRA ideas. I basically want the abolition of gender roles and equality for everybody.

The reason I don't actively participate in feminism, or claim the title, is because I disagree with the feminist meta-narrative. They see basically all social interactions between men and women as men being in an oppressive role, and women being subjugated. Men are portrayed as being privileged holders of power, regardless of their situation, and women are always portrayed as being oppressed, regardless of their situations.

They flatly refuse to see any situation which might be unfair to men. Point out family law, or divorce courts, lifetime alimony on no fault divorce, male circumcision, disproportional medical funding, or gender stereotypes men are expected to conform to and you will be flamed for "mansplaining".

there does seem to be a larger percentage of banning over a discussion that "Wasn't appreciated" in /r/feminism though as opposed to mensrights

Historically, women wanted equal rights in the workplace and society..... well, we want equal treatment in society and the courts first and foremost.

Speaking as a divorced father...... who basically has to catch the ex smoking crack to get any kind of custody judgement.... even though I make more money, can provide a better home and "Things", etc...... the only difference? She remarried..... to a sandwich delivery driver.

I'm a girlie and I'm here!!! I don't participate in /r/feminism, but I'm on /r/TwoXChromosones. This subreddit makes me sad very often, but I really like the acknowledgement of actual conversation/arguments. I feel like it's more of a free space to discuss rights and issues as opposed to declare what is an is not right.

I don't agree with some of the posts that show up here, but I don't agree with some of the feminist arguments, either. I pretty much count my badass female self on the side of what's right. The child support inequalities piss me off the most.

Wow guys! Thanks for all the comments. I got a lot more feedback than expected and there are also a lot more female MRAs than I expected. I appreciate all that are fighting for the MRM and, once again, thanks for the feedback.
