These are the two studies which are quoted to say, men benefit more from marriages. I went through these two studies, but it seems awfully biased in the way things were assessed. For example, the studies gloss over the monetary gain women make from divorces. The study says divorced women face a lower household income. Is that not logical?Considering that the husbands are mainly the providers? So naturally household incomes go down. Because the same study mentions how younger men are finding it increasingly more difficult to attract partners, with the wealth being concentrated around smaller populations. The study also doesn't mention that women see a decrease in income which could be easily explained by them choosing to be SAHM and pregnancy. The studies say, because women report more cases of infidelity, therefore men are more likely to be unfaithful.

The study completely trivializes how divorced men have the highest suicide rate and how women are the ones who mostly initiate divorces.

It outright says that men are scared of being controlled by women. That's why they can't see the 'benefits' of marriage. Also women are the ones who are 'trapped' in marriages.

I want to know what do you guys think of these studies?
