I (M19) live at my university's campus. I stay at one of the buildings and have my own studio there. The accommodation doesn't have a washing machine and dryer so I have to use the common ones in the building. They're almost always in use so I have to be reserve one as soon as it becomes available. The problem is that a lot of people don't arrive on time to pick up their clothes. People usually message on the group, wait for some time and then remove the clothes in order to put in their own. This is basically what I did yesterday after waiting for 15 minutes. The moment I was transferring the clothes to the dryer, this blue haired girl (assuming it's a feminist) walks in, sees what I am doing and becomes very angry. She calls me a creep saying I shouldn't be doing this. I naturally become uncomfortable but I still try to defend myself as I know I've done nothing wrong. I tell her I am following the same procedure everyone usually does but she doesn't buy it. She tells me she's going to report me and I stupidly tell her to do it thinking I can defend myself for being in the right. So I go home and after about an hour I read the message she posted on the group talking all kinds of bad stuff about me (she knows my name from the message I wrote earlier). She exaggerates/lies about the whole thing and says I was taking some of her underwears and how everyone should tell the university to remove me from the building. Some of my friends try defending me saying that I am not the type of person to do this, but the others instantly believe her story. I tell my side but no is willing to listen. They proceeded to write an meail to the university administration. As a response I told them to check the CCTV footage but they're not willing to release "private" videos unless the police asks for it. They know her story is a complete lie but the other's won't believe it and now my image and reputation is destroyed. I hate how false accusations are so common and can instantly destroy a man's life. Imagine if the CCTV wasn't there, I would have probably been removed from the college and have my career destroyed. False accusers need to face the same repercussions but I doubt anyone is going to take any action. Feminists will say that false accusations are rare, but I think they're just trying to gaslight men. False accusations can happen in any context, not just rape, the only common thing they share is that it's almost always happens to a man. I wish I was born a woman so I didn't have to live in constant fear. This makes me so paranoid that I can't even stay around women anymore. Feminists will tell me to get therapy but that won't repair the damage they've caused already. MGTOW is an option but it's so hard to escape feminism unless you become a hermit. You can try to stay away from women as much as possible but these crazies will still manage to harm you.
