Don’t worry about boys leaving stem. In our increasingly unequal economy, there are few fields that offer high earning and entrepreneurial potential right after college as much as stem careers (increasingly, college is becoming optional too). Men will continue to dominate no matter how much effort goes into selective bullshit “girls in stem programs,” because the bulk of societal pressure is still on us to be high earners and providers.

Many fields of stem are also naturally suited to the intellectual interests of boys and men. This isn’t sexist, it’s borne out by decades of research. Men are more interested in things, women are more interested in people. Keep doing what you enjoy, and ignore the nonsense going on around you. No matter how stormy the seas get, if you keep rowing you’ll get to where you want to go.

A science or math test is straightforward. Either you know the material and can answer or not.

Jordan Peterson had a debate with a woman. He said the most even societies are Scandinavian. And their numbers show woman avoid stem at a higher rate there.

So the more equal a society is, the more extreme ppl choose fields.

That's the point, yeah. It will be hailed as equality.

Over here in Canada, women account for 59 percent of 25–34 year old Canadians with a college degree, and have been the majority of post-secondary graduates since 1991. Women represent nearly two-thirds of Canadians aged 25–34 with a medical degree, 67 percent in social sciences and law, and 75 percent of education-related degrees.

So women are over-represented in every field but those in STEM, and the only problem there is that women aren't over-represented in STEM too.

Meanwhile, there are still scads of female-only scholarships, mentorships, networking opportunities and employment opportunities. As well as programs and events just for girls in HS.

This won't change until society starts seeing men as something other than an "oppressors" and women as "victims". We're kind, loving, hard-working, curious, mindful, downtrodden, depressed and hurting too. Just like women!

You don't get special STEM benefits because you're presumed to have already benefited from your gender. This despite men being under-represented in college graduates across ALL developed worlds, a situation the World Economic Forum recently referred to as "equal".

It's sexism. Moreover, it's systemic sexism.

Advice

You should write an email to your school outlining your concerns and reasons. I'm sure people here or on other male-focused subs would be glad to help you with writing it. Feel free to send me a message as well.

You are being discriminated against on the basis of your gender. You've probably been gaslit all your life to believe that's not possible, but that's what's happening.

Write the email and give them a time by which you expect a reply.

When they reply with bullshit defending the action, you should reply to it while cc'ing your local human rights council as well as the local paper and any national papers that would sympathize with your plight (however distasteful you may find their other politics).

This way everyone is apprised of your request for equality and your school's denial of it.

You've got nothing to fear. You're not asking for something to be cancelled; you're asking not to be excluded on the basis of your gender.

You're asking for justice.

Women are being allowed to break up teams of men even in the professional world for no other reason than their emotional issues cause them to portray this as misogyny.

I do not think the government incentive for women in STEM catered for this. Women however are taking full advantage on believing they can do anything at the moment.

If possible gather some mates and petition the school.

Sydney Watson is a YouTuber that is very much for the rights of men. It is her passion to show the toxicity of most feminists of the current day. She is Australian (Melbourne) and I think you might like some of her takes on the subject!

If you look at the current wave of feminists they have quite literally destroyed their original point. I believe that flower power and the hippie movement is to blame on the whole; free love, peace to the world, and drugs were all that they wanted which was hedonism. This caused the next generations to stumble over themselves in an attempt to figure out who they are and they were babies for it. Now you have that same generation looking to the future and babying a certain gender rather than children as a whole, because of issues with men in the past, and making boys pay for something they never did. Side note: you are also seeing this with race in America with the whole “your ancestors owned slaves” which was centuries ago.

Essentially teachers are stripping the innocents from boys, and showering girls with it. The double standard is real and a plague on this earth. It is killing boys, and men in droves and it needs to be eradicated. Women in schools need to treat everyone equally in the realm of race, gender, and to a degree, competency.

This is more conspiracy I guess but I think why they want more women in STEM or these other high up areas is because women are more inclined to be emotional and nurturing, and men are more inclined to be the opposite. More disunions based on facts and truth. (Not saying all men and women are like that) with this in mind, it makes the medical community make the shift towards more radical thinking that is not based on science, it is based on feeling. I will not get into it here but that is just an opinion of mine, it may not be true.

My university was loaded with women only events for computer science students. I think half to 2/3 was for women only. Kinda crazy when you consider 10% of CS graduates are women and some of those events involve prize money too.

I graduated a year ago and i was recently called to donate 20$/month to promote women in STEM in the form of money for university students who perform well... im all for more women in stem but that stuff is shallow, you have to interest women in programming in highschool, not shower thosr already enrolled with money.

Thank you OP - can you please elaborate on the restriction on gathering and limiting it strictly to boys to up to five? This would be a severe violation of human rights and should be reported as such. I am collecting information on anti-democtratic feminist actions against men as a group for a book and would be interested in more information. Were there any written documents involved such as an email notification or a printed announcement? Will you be able to add a screenshot of such texts? Or a quote? This is extremely important. In various places in the West feminism has began in what seems as the enactment of "soft" totalitarianism with meaningful attempts to take it forward to formal undemocratic laws (aka a dictatorship). It's important to document and monitor the progress of this process so such information is valuable (I think I'm not the only one interested in the data).

I've been an electrical engineer for nearly 12 years now. When I was back in England, I did my degree in the mid 2000s. At the time, women were offered mentors and full tuition paid for if they obtained a degree in EE above a certain grade. Men were offered fuck all.

Here's some cold harsh reality from a guy that is nearly 40;

The world defers to women's feelings and doesn't give a shit about what men want or need. It's just you and other men against the entire system. Feel free to bitch about that fact, but it doesn't change said fact.

So the way I obtained my degree was simple; I just worked hard, delivered takeout food on the weekends, and only went into group projects with other like minded men. We would also meet outside of college and help each other which is outside of their system.

Also, don't help women. Let them flounder alone. If one is in your project group, sideline them and give them bs work.

It's my personal opinion that women make good drones. They can carry out repetitive tasks over and over again whereas the good male engineers have a spark of creativity and if you give them the right environment, they will go gang busters on a project because they are naturally wired to want to solve problems.

I am very sorry to read this OP. it seems that feminism to some is "misandry," not equality.

It is not right. If you are interested in STEM, I would say keep working on it. Ignore the fakeness of gender p0litics and focus on the science and practice. Don't let the idea of women in the workplace sour your mood towards them because of the lousy politics of today. There are great STEM workers who are women.
