Please be respectful in their community. r/ainbow has been very accommodating of all sorts of views, including men's rights, and I would hate for them to start thinking of us as a downvote brigade. As of writing this, there are a lot of supportive comments of OP, and from what I can tell, most of them are not from our members.

That thread has inspired me. If I ever run into a woman bleeding after being attacked with a knife, I'm going to righteously tell her that maybe now she finally knows a little bit about what it's like to be a man in a country where circumcision is a routine practice. We're not saying it's okay. Better than most, we know what it's like to be abused both physically and verbally. Sexual harassment against gay men, by straight men, happens all the time.

What we're pissed at is that OP appears to be blaming all gay people not only for the actions of a few dick heads in one club, one one city, in one country; but making out as if this is a 'gay phenomena'.

It's offensive for the group most likely to kick ten ton of shit out of us, to turn around and make all of us out to be sexual abusers. And it's ironic that a straight guy is complaining about sexual harassment, when straight guys do this all the time to women (again, not that that excuses this behaviour, but we're pointing it out).

What happened to OP was terrible. It really was. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment, the behaviour by those few people in that place wasn't acceptable in any way, shape or form. It was plain out sexual harassment. Nobody is disputing that.

But it's as if he's threatening to revoke his ally status based on this... which means he isn't an ally in the first place.
