It may be partly because I'm mentally disabled (Depression, OCD/General Anxiety, Schizophrenia) but every story and comment I read here makes me more and more misanthropic. I feel like I'm slipping into a place where I can't return from. This is unlike any bad feeling I've ever had.

The thread about the Suzanne Venker opinion piece has 75% of the comments, all highly upvoted, basically saying that most women are naturally misandrist. This has been troubling me for a long time because I don't want to believe it, but I found myself momentarily lost in foolish collectivist thought, saying to myself "well, these are other mras, and their comments are highly upvoted, so what they're saying must be true." My obsession with duality makes me think that if it is indeed true that women are naturally misandrist, than men must be naturally misogynist as well.

These are very uncomfortable thoughts to accept as true, so I'm hoping perhaps it is this subreddit that has lost it's way and is making premature conclusions based on faulty analysis that are ultimately misogynist? Or does the data truly support it? Perhaps there is context missing from this data that would explain away these thoughts I have about most people generally being horrible, bigoted wastes of skin? Or is it even worse; are women naturally misandrist while men are not naturally misogynist?

The increasing social dysfunction, mistrust and dislike between the sexes is just so sad to me. Then there's ISIS and shit, collectivism and discrimination, collectivism with people making excuses or obfuscating the issue with a "not all" talking point, other collectivism imagining bigotry where none exists, others excusing it or denying it, etc. It makes me question any worth humanity really has.

I was told by someone a couple years ago that people like me shouldn't be browsing the internet and especially places like this, now I'm regretting not having listened.
