I'm pro choice but the luxury of choice only falls on women. Whether or not the man is ready to be a father, or even wants to be, she can decide to keep it and he is forced to be a caregiver or an ATM. I believe if she can choose to keep or abort the fetus then the man should be able to opt out; a paper abortion. It's only equal and fair. Most people who consider themselves pro choice hate this idea. Feminism is equality huh? I think not.

Here is my deeply unpopular opinion. Especially for Reddit.

If it’s my kid when it’s out it’s also my kid when it is in. I had a hand in the babies creation and should also get a say in what happens with it. As an MRA, men should have rights to the child while it’s still gestating.

Abortion is a (moderately) complex topic. Ought be a lot simpler, but alas, everybody wants to have a say and opinion (at least for the most part), not to mention also religion and goop like that, and legal, and medical and safety, and practical ... so, yeah, it ends up being rather messy ... probably a whole lots messier than it need or ought be, but ... well ... here we are.

Here's my take on it as a woman who believes abortions should be allowed up to 6 weeks:

A man should be allowed to relinquish his rights as a father (including financial support) if the woman decides to abort the pregnancy, but he's against it.

In case your country bans abortions, then the man should be held responsible in every way that matters, including child support, and possibly alimony, if the woman has been a SHM for at least 5 years.

The differential of Rights and responsibilities between men and women is of tantamount importance to mens rights. Along with the godlike control women have over their reproduction they also have the ability to force another person into parenthood by making a unilateral decision to have a child. This is not only unfair it is also very bad for children.

There needs to be parity of reproductive rights for men. Before any man is placed on a child support order the mother needs to produce an instrument of consent stating that the father has agreed to actually be a father and signed by him along with a positive result from a DNA test.

I'm pro choice with caveats.

I still think it's murder. Especially after anything after the first trimester. Admittedly that's arbitrary.

A million babies are killed a year. That's a humanitarian issue.

Meaning half of those killed are boys. Which makes it a mens rights issue.

I came across an interesting claim a few months back that 1/3 of genz was aborted. That's wild.

Like I said, I'm pro choice because I believe body autonomy is paramount. But we handle this responsibility poorly.

Yea that ten year old wouldn’t be held accountable at all. But the parents and medical professionals who even suggested this as an option would be penalized, and if they did it anyway they would be tried for murder and physicians who repeat this procedure should receive the death penalty for their countless crimes. It’s genocide.

Did you know that most countries around the world 90-95% also practiced slavery for most of history? Including the ancient Egyptians? And that white Christian Europe was the first place to advocate for its abolition as a practice?? Should we also go back and bring slavery around again because it was common practice and we shouldn’t have stopped it?

Yea abortions have existed, but they used to call it what it is and do it according to the name. It was child sacrifice to ancient peoples’ false gods. Life is fully documented as beginning at conception, and humans are endowed by their Creator rights (which, at least in the US, the Constitution protects) to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Thus, I'm against voluntary cessation of a baby's life outside of the most extreme genuine life-or-death emergency room sorts of situations. Even then, it should be avoided when possible. Where necessary, post-delivery adoption should always remain available. Plus, safe and anonymous emergency child surrender locations are also a thing, as a last resort.

In either case, as the child is 50% the biological Father's, He should always have a say in the matter, even if it's to gain full custody if the mother doesn't want the baby, after a full-term to delivery.

Also, to My knowledge such a law as follows has already passed in at least one US state but still needs to become mandated as federal law. Without exception, at the point of each and every delivery, as a matter of routine DNA Paternity tests should be conducted and documented. Paternity fraud needs to come to an end.

I’m also for men’s rights if they do now want to pay child support on a child they didn’t want if she decides unilaterally to have the child.

I am pro-abortion. I think abortion should be legal in all cases, at any time in the pregnancy, free of cost.

At the same time, I think people should have a right to paper abortions.

Personally I lean towards pro-choice, and have been to marches before. However, 99.99% of women don't fight for men's right to opt-out with "paper abortions" and too many find the concept laughable/react with disgust when it's mentioned. So more recently, I've leaned towards not giving the "pro-choice" movement any of my energy, despite the fact that I tend to agree with it. Obviously biology plays a role here, but the mere fact that women have an option/reproductive rights and men don't (else be on the hook financially for 18 years) is surely a problem that's been mentioned in this sub many times.

Why should I fight their battles if they won't lift a finger to help fight mine?

Pro-life, because pro-choice is a buzzword that’s more palatable than pro-legal infanticide. It’s the most morally repulsive, regressive, self-degrading, humanity hating, demonic, hateful, possible action a person could take. A mother murdering her own child who is dependent on them for love and attention, and who is innocent in this world. The most innocent, untouched, pure people are murdered before they even get to enter the world, and everyone is pressured to accept the gaslighting that it’s normal and good for society. It’s the open door to death culture, and self-hatred skyrockets in the women who are lied to, socially manipulated, and led to the abortionist chair to slaughter their unborn baby.

In a perfect those who procure an abortion would receive the death penalty or life imprisonment as anyone should for killing their own child. It just looks more palatable when they don’t have to see the baby or be the one holding the clamp, but I dare any of those women to perform an abortion on someone else and see if they still feel so enthusiastic. And even those who still would are wrong and deluded nearly beyond repair. Actual satanists have been working in the abortion industry for years now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the fetal cells in certain vaccines by Pfizer and J&J were cultured from murdered children.

This all started when we lost our cultural sense of moral modesty, marital fidelity, lifelong commitment, and sexual self control. Those principles and ethical values held the whole thing together, and it’s undeniable how much our culture and shared social identity has evaporated and caught fire since disregarding these multi-millennia old concepts. We will not have a society moving forward until all sexual, reproductive, and marital topics/issues are restored to the traditional form that built the civilized society we once had before the boomer generation started ruining everything out of selfish pride and narcissistic laziness. Young men like myself are over it, and will be restoring it at all costs, or leaving America entirely to allow them to eat themselves alive until sharia law takes over. Then they’ll wish they listened, or actually at this point they may be so far gone that they’ll find a way to blame us again for everything wrong even harder. I think a woman should be free to abort if she wishes so since its her body and the one who "suffers" pregnancy. HOWEVER, i do think men should have a way to resign from being a parent if they wish so, it would depend on situations and million things, but this "magic shackles" that women can use against men which is pregnancy is just horrible and unfair.

Just imagine all the whining and complains if men where the one who get pregnant and women had no word on it.

There’s nothing sacred about an embryo. Women’s bodies have been tossing them out for a very long time and you don’t even know about it. The majority of us have been born onto the dirt on the ground and we’re all here. It’s just a thing that living things do. Cancer is also a thing that living things do. Presumably, both babies and cancer were made by god, if you believe in that. Why do you remove one but not the other?

I'm 100% pro choice and even though I'm very pro man, on this specific topic I feel that a woman should be free to make this choice independently.

However, if a married woman has an abortion without the husband's consent, that should weigh heavily against her during the divorce.

Personally, I believe abortion should be legal up to a certain point, perhaps up to when there's brain activity of any kind? Kind of like how after brain death, a patient is no longer considered alive, even if the rest of the body functions. That being said, I also believe that no one should have a right to what a woman decides to do with her body up until that point. (Also, in cases of rape, it's in general humane to be able to let a woman not carry the child.)

But, at the same time, I think it's also right that since a man can't tell a woman to keep her child, when she doesn't want it, a man should be able to not be involved with a child even if the woman wants it. For equality to be right, the cutoff for this choice should theoretically be at about the same time for a woman's choice, but that runs the risk of baby trapping anyway because all the woman has to do is not tell the man that she's pregnant until then, and that's pretty easy to do. Especially when it's just an accident from a hookup. So there have to be some fail-safes in place for that. I have some ideas, but I don't know exactly how good they are.

and i think it should be in the hands of the woman as she has to carry the child and give birth but at the same time i think if the man/father dosent want the child he can write a contract where it says he wants an abortion and since she dosent want to abort the child he will give up all parental rights and in return the man pays less in child support but i think he should still pay a bit just enough to afford baby food and dippers ig

Is it murder? No, I'm very much don't mind as it doesn't effect me at all but few things are getting concerning.

For purely argumentative sake let's say it is murder, if so the death toll beats both world wars together. It's concerning.

I also believe their is bit of hypocrisy that women follow when arguing against pro life people. They say it's men who at fault for these rates cause they didn't suit up, but I do believe the person who has more control on whether sex happens or not should bare more responsibility and blame (this their extract reasoning for the patriarchy blame on men, despite women having the right to vote for the last 50 years)

I also looked up some stats on abortion and found out only 1% was due rape, let's bump it up 3% for the unreported cases of rape. 0.5% accounted for incest. According Guttnacher institute (hopefully I spelled it right)

Going back to the top on whether it's not murder or not I don't think it is as murder applies to people who are legally recognised and the unborn aren't. However the term child sacrifice does apply to this by definition (just some not so fun fact about the English language).

I personally blame the rate abortion for the significant lack sexual discipline, don't get me wrong purity culture is not good at all but it maybe time to consider that maybe the support on sexually freedom has gone a little too far

I feel like if someone would like to get one, they should be able to, for any reason, the medical consensus of them being done before the third trimester seems to make the most sense for most developed countries.

If a woman does not wish to continue with a pregnancy, whether for personal choice, rape, or any other reason that does not put her life at risk, it depends on the stage of fetal development. I don’t see any non-spiritual or non-metaphysical reason to recognize a very early-stage fetus as a person or grant it human rights, and therefore to prioritize its rights over those of the mother; the opposite is true for a fetus that is close to being born.

Determining the exact cutoff point is not easy. If I had to venture a guess despite my limited knowledge, 22–24 weeks seems reasonable, with extrauterine viability and the beginning of signs of sophisticated neurological development.

PS: BTW, I want to point out that in most places where a fetus has enough rights to prohibit abortion/kill it, the mother can still consume any toxic substances and cause permanent severe harm to the fetus with impunity.

As long as men have the same rights to not have to care for a child that is simply a zygote in the womb or whatever as women do to abort it, that is at least some form close to equal rights.

Given our biology of course men cannot have true equality here as we cannot choose to have a woman force to abort a child, and I would never want that. Nor should a woman be able to force a man to care for a pregnancy he did not want when not only abortion, but morning after pills, multiple types of birth control, and adoption are at women's disposal.
