As stated, it's an involuntary celibate. Incels are usually younger men.

The common viewpoint is that these young men blame women and better-looking men for not being able to engage in close physical relationships with women. They are essentially rejected by women's impossibly high standards. This then leads to feelings of resentment, insecurities, and anger, which then leads to a completely skewed and 'toxic' viewpoint of women.

That's the gist of it anyway. Personally, I just see villified young men struggling to fulfil a basic biological drive or even just a loving connection, being constantly dunked on by the rest of a society that doesn't care much about men to begin with.

20 years ago, when I made my decision to walk away from the shit show I was already seeing, I made the prediction that as this knowledge spread and men became aware, that women would respond by shaming the men for being aware.

That is all Incel is, a word used as a shaming tactic for men not towing the gynocentric line.

Pedophile is also a shaming word leveled at men for pursuing slender, neotenous women or younger, sexually mature women.

The word player that was thrown around by women in the late 90s and early 00s, described RedPill Aware men who were sexually attractive and leveraged that knowledge and their sexual value. It was to shame men for doing exactly what women were doing.

We are going to see a lot more shaming of men for not eating this absolute shit sandwich.

As tax revenue falls, you are going to see bachelor taxes, not levied on income, but on stuff the guys riding the pine are doing.

You are going to see an attempt to ban pron because it allows a man to keep his sex-drive quiet while going about his business. When that fails, you are going to see attempts at regulating pron such as requiring the use of overweight women to try to wire men to pursue fat women to get population growth slightly above replacement.

And this is near term. I can only speculate on what else they might do.

Depends on whether you're asking for it's actual definition or it's colloquial use.

Actual definition is "involuntarily celibate" AKA "people who want a relationship but can't get one for whatever reason".

Colloquial use is "anyone whose opinion I don't like." Synonyms include "Nazi, Literally Hitler, Conservative, White Supremacist", as all of these invective are thrown around quite liberally at anyone whose opinion the speaker dislikes.

The term incel was coined by people who saw themselves as "involuntarily celibate", men who perceived that due to circumstances beyond their own control they were seen as undateable by society.

That was the definition for about 2 weeks.

I've never before seen a term so quickly transition from a specifically defined descriptor into a generic sexist insult.

As of today incel means nothing at all except " a man I want to insult".

I saw a post last week of a guy saying that sex wasn't a gift that women give to men but something that people choose to do together, and was deluged with posts calling him an incel.

An Incel is someone, presumably a man who had tried and failed to form relationships and intimacy with women but still desires one. Now the term is used as an slur to shame, insult and guilt anyone, particularly men who do not serve the gynocentric feminist imperative and that is really about pleasing women such as placing women on a pedestal where they are beyond reproach.

Like toxic masculinity, mansplaining, or any other term designed to demonize men, it only means "a man is saying or doing something that I do not like".

Whatever definition it once had is irrelevant because the only people that use the term are people who do not understand the term and are simply looking for a term of hate.

Technically and literally speaking, I suppose I would have counted as a semi-involuntary incel before meeting my wife in my late 30s. I had my reasons for maintaining my virginity, but to be honest, had a woman who I was even partly attracted to come on to me enough and in the right way, I would have likely caved in real quick.

I was frustrated, sure. Sometimes I was bitter, but I was mostly mad at myself and my failure to be whomever it was that women needed me to be in order for them to want to keep dating me.

But I couldn't relate to this new concept of the "incel" the internet was conjuring up. I didn't have an angry toxic view of women. I disliked modern feminism, but that was more coming from being spurned by some toxic feminists I knew.

Let me start by saying that incels account for an EXTREMELY small group of men so this is not a widespread male ideology it is a very extremist view point (there’s no accurate amount but it’s in a range between 10’s of thousands and hundreds of thousands worldwide).

the term incel stands for ‘involuntarily celebate’, It is an incredibly toxic and dangerous mindset in which they blame women for their lack of success in romantic and sexual endeavours and have massively extreme views of the traits they need to have (physically) to attract a woman and tend to rank men in an alpha, beta, omega rhetoric to classify men into how likely they are to attract a woman with a ‘chad’ being top of the pyramid. These views tend to lead to extreme body dysmorphia even encouraging each other to hit their faces with hammers to define features they think would make them more attractive even though that doesn’t do anything.

All incels have an extreme hatred for women so much so that the forums that incels occupy mention either raping or murdering women or both around every 20 minutes not to mention they also share gore videos of women being brutalised and slaughtered and laugh about it. This has even led to not one but multiple misogynistic driven mass shootings, the most famous being Elliot Rodger in which he killed 7 people and injured 14 others and then killed himself and he is also idolised within the incel community for doing this. He uploaded a video prior to the attack explaining that his reasoning was to punish women for rejecting him and punish sexually active men because he envied them.

What’s even scarier is that this movement is slowly gaining more and more traction and the rate of incel related violence is increasing every year. Please watch the untold: secret world of incels (I’ll link it for you) documentary on YouTube where it explains this a lot more and is very informative.

These men are clearly in desperate need of intensive therapy and psychiatric help however you can imagine that a lot of incels don’t admit they’re incels so do not end up receiving the help they need.

Theres also a female version of incels called femcels in which women feel excluded from romantic and sexual relationships from men because of how they look. This is again deeply rooted in body dysmorphia but also includes women that choose to be abstinent due to deep rooted misandrist beliefs, some of which because they have been sexually assaulted. There’s also not an exact number of femcels but it’s in the 10’s of thousands. To my knowledge (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) there’s been no femcel motivated killings of men, it’s largely based in self hatred and promotes self harm and even suicide (femcels are also included in the documentary I will link so that will explain it a bit better). Thats why i take a stand, and act like Im confused why they are using the term in contexts where it doesnt make sense, assuming the originaly definition

It’s a senseless word used to immasculate and devalue men. Typically it’s used by petty, conceited, entitled women.

It used to mean that the individual was involuntarily celibate, meaning they’re a virgin and unless they change they are always going to be and die a virgin.
