I think of sexuality and sexual desire as on a spectrum. It seems like successful promiscuity is "alpha", and a desire for just monogamy is "beta", and that somewhere in the middle are polyamorous personalities in varying degrees.

I imagine TRP attracts people leaning more towards promiscuity, but lack the tools to fulfil their sexuality.

When I think of it this way, I see no issue with beta men and I don't know why so many people denounce it as pathetic or terrible on the sub. Frustration from some red pills can manifest in the forums, which has grown a source of controversy due to the nature of the subject, but I guess that's what happens when promiscuous people can't get sex. Beta would naturally grow into some sort of a slur, as it is already considered a highly undesirable trait for men to not seek out partners as soon as possible, so I do see why it's treated with such contempt too.

I myself am a monogamous person. I lack the desire to "explore my options" as it completely disinterests me, and now that I have a happy and romantic companion I no longer consider other men as potential partners. I imagine this is similar for other monogamous people.

My definitions are probably far off of what they are over at TRP. I was just considering that the vast majority of the men over there are highly sexual, but both through reading and talking to other people I've come to believe that this isn't how all men behave. Some men (and women) do reach adulthood without having a partner, and they don't feel hindered too much by their lack of sexual activity.

Alpha and beta are such silly words to use when describing animals anyway, really. Dominant and passive do the job better.
