The vast majority of incels as described are "bluepill" incels. Think about the average STEM student at MIT: they are virgins, wanting to get laid, and nothing is really working out for them. They'll go into a male dominated, or heavily career focused industry (engineering, medicine, research science, etc) and likely won't have experiences with women until their mid to late 20s. For some of them this can extend beyond that; a good portion of them will remain celibate into perpetuity (I fall into this category). They are unaware of the greater sexual marketplace, and likely don't want to know about it in the first place. They do not hate women and have grown up their entire lives respecting women, but don't know how to act in the presence of one, especially an attractive one.

On a side note, increasingly there has been a trend of trying to change the definition of the word 'incel'. In their opinion, virgin men, social rejects, foreveraloners, etc. are "fine" so long they don't ascribe to 'incel ideology' or 'blackpill'. This is strange and deliberately demonizing - incels have never been a hivemind, with lots of different groups calling themselves 'incels' at some point. There's a lot of variation in ideology of groups like, love-shy, /r9k/, r/incels, PSL, and the various IRC/Discord channels amongst others. That's why you might be getting a lot of pushback from other people in this thread.

I don't think these blue-pill incels you're talking about are particularly concerned about male sexuality. They're more concerned with burdening an attractive women with their presence, a being so beautiful and wonderful that even gazing upon their visage grants them a temporary euphoria. If that man is neither physically attractive or personable and a woman wants someone who at least can give a genuine smile, what can the incel offer? Fake happiness with a strained smile as they try to muster any semblance of positivity?

When you see yourself as just a piece of shit, the last thing you want to do is inconvenience an attractive person, spreading negativity and disgust in your wake. One's personal urges and desires do not matter if they would just bring down others, so they slink away while trying to futility dig themselves out of their social dysphoria alone.

I'm not sure neckbeard or white-knight is appropriate to describe them. They just simply find no value in themselves, and so they have nothing to offer to others. They think they're nothing so they become nothing.

I've never met anyone with RP idelogies, and I've never met guys who treated women well and with respect whom were celibates because of that. I don't interact with fat or ugly guys, so coming across incels has never been a thing to happen to me. I've met very ''blue'' pilled men who were very successful with women. These men weren't Hugh Jackman types nor Christian Bale sorts. They were average. Not fat, not ugly. Not tall. Noses weren't perfect, teeth weren't perfectly aligned. Slender builds mostly, 5'7'' to 5'9''

They just didn't care about being rejected and talked to women often.

1 : they don’t really understand it and i’m guessing they are mostly exposed to internet blog/twitter etc.. and are affraid to be “that guy” the girls are dealing with

2: It’s like a guy working to a compagny expecting to get that promotion while all he is doing is the bare minimum to complete their job. They know they have tu put themself out there but someting is stopping them (mostly insecurity)

3: mostly shy introvert who are not often scocially exposed, or have the same group of friend since growing up and did not feel the need to meet new people, so they don’t know how to approach someone.

I think it has to do with the way male sexuality is approached (repressed) in many large swaths of the U.S. (will only talk about U.S. here, and midwest Bible Belt at that, because that's all I've experienced, but I'm lead to believe these are commonalities) Anyone with a traditional-leaning Christian upbringing views sex as inherently immoral until marriage, and that sentiment spills over the edges. In fact, Christians are encouraged to proselytize these beliefs to anybody within earshot. Combine that with the secular side of things, which largely portrays male sexuality as gross, oppressive, and criminally predatory, and you have a recipe for rampant male self-hatred. A weak father figure is icing on the cake.

It's a natural reaction. Whenever a person sees someone being better at something than them, it elicits a sense of inferiority (particularly if it's something that supposedly comes "naturally"). Men will often see another successful man, and instead of acknowledging and accepting that it took him hard work, risks, and investment-- they will simply assume that the man luckier, or inherently better than himself. Sometimes this is true, but there are many success stories that put no small amount of effort into "playing the game" well, in which our aforementioned incels aren't willing to do the same.

I have no idea. Blue Pill types will usually get laid eventually, even if they aren't particularly good looking, usually about two months into a respectful, taking-it-slow type of LTR (again, Christian influence here. I'm not saying it's bad to wait, but waiting isn't inherently good, either).

As an ex bluepill incel, I agree that's what most incels are. I still hold a lot of bp beliefs but I am aware of advantage and advice rp offers, I was aware of it in my early 20s but only in late 20s began to actively put it in practice. And it worked all the time. That's how I ditched toxic bp ideas, such as that women and men are equal or that one has to befriend a girl in order for her to feel attraction. I still have some doubts but time after time I get only confirmation of rp ideas. It just works.

I wasn't even aware that "blue pill inceldom" was a real thing. Most of the incels I've known were incels because they were too shy around women and afraid of failure and rejection, not because they didn't want to be some attractive guy who was desired by women.

At any rate, I don't think the percentage is very high. Most incels are just shy, self-conscious guys who are pedestalizing but not over-pedestalizing women and who just need to learn some confidence, become fit, or gain some skills that will impress women (or all of the above) in order to attract a woman. The percentage of men who are overt "Blue Pill incels" is probably quite low. Most men instinctively want to pursue women and so-called cultural conditioning isn't going to change that much.

IMHO, overcompensation (extreme kindness, or trying to live up to other people expectations) which is the main BP trait as well as narcissism, which is the main RP trait are both symptoms of the same cause, which is avoidance.

Living up to other people's expectations, trying to please everyone, being always the good guys and putting others before yourself, and then blaming them for not paying back what you did for them is the easy thing to do. It is comfortable to regard a sexual relationship as a form of a bargain, so you only have to fulfill your end. You only have to do the thing you are comfortable with and then it must work out (but, awe and behold, it doesn't!)

Similarly, taking care of yourself, working out, becoming awesome, making shitload of money, having an awesome self-image, regarding women as beings that have to be subdued and taken advantage of instead of communicating and forming relationships, and pitying girls because it is "their loss" when they reject you, is also the easy thing to do.

Both of these are just forms of avoidance. Avoidance to face the real problem which is that these people have deep psychological issues that disrupt intimacy and sexuality. In essence, I am sure that in 99.99% of the situations where men remain single is because of psychological rather than physical reasons.

because being platonic and hiding your sexuality is a form of avoidance they have been taught and consequently embraced (it's easier to hide your sexuality than being honest and risk being rejected or yelled at). So their reality is threatened when they have to witness those things.

I'd dare to say that the majority of them are. Though, there are a lot of incels who would classify as mostly "normal" people in the terms of today's society. I mean that neckbeards and white-knights tend to have several other characteristic qualities (social, physical, etc.) apart from issues with sexuality and intimacy. As I said, I believe that many RPers are also incels as well, though narcissism tends to attract at least some girls than self-pity.

I could be called a blue pill incel. Well, I don't consider myself a "pussy-worshipping white knight" but I'm pretty staunchly anti-RP. So I'll answer from personal experience.

I think it's more about feeling bad about the idea of a woman, any woman, having to interact with the incel's sexuality, not male sexuality in general. It's about not measuring up to what you think a "man" should be. It's about feeling unworthy of women and especially feeling unworthy of fucking them, dominating them, etc. It's fueled by a fear of not being able to. That's also why being attracted to a woman can trigger/increase feelings of self-hatred and self-loathing.

1.) I think they likely feel bad about themselves. They clearly want sex because they made this whole thing about it. I also think they are confused about what else they want and some may be gay (or bi).

2.)Hmm. Because they're gone in the head? Seriously, these dudes sound like the saddest sacks that need help. They have created a feedback loop that in their minds, confirms their fucked notions regarding women and themselves.

3.) Who can say? I don't think anyone is involuntarily celibate unless mentally handicapped. They just want to throw their hands up and feel sorry for themselves. I can sort of relate, I went thru a brief period where I thought I wasn't good enough.

Long story short, I examined those feelings under a microscope and discovered what was in my own head vs. what was reality. I wish men would consider this: You all make a giant to-do about models, porn actresses, IG thots and the like being soooo much better and hotter and then rest of us women. What if WE cared to the degree these incels do and acted like the world was coming to an end just because SOME men prefer those types and will ignore the rest of us in their pursuit? The thing is, most women just get on with life. We are bombarded with propaganda on the TV, the computer, the magazines, and on front street that we are not good enough as we are. Sometimes, it's the message used to sell a jar of cream or a bra, but it's all too recognizable. Yet, we women take it in stride. No female Eliot Rodgers mad at the world and killing folks because they didn't get Chad and Miss Fancy Panties did. I think these incel boys can learn a lot from the average women of the world. If you're defining 'blue pill' as anyone who isn't in the teeny tiny group that is RP, that's a pretty broad stroke.

Many (not all) incels are caught up in a resentment cycle. They can't get the hot women they fantasize about. Therefore, they will either turn hatred on themselves or other people.

The vast majority. The most basic part of the Red Pill is understanding the significant difference between men and women, which is pregnancy and testosterone, and how everything else is built upon these two. However, Red Pill is still a very small subset of the PUA group, which is a small fraction of men. Blooper neckbeards have been taught by feminism on a wide scale to minimize or ignore basic biology in order to push the religious idea that men and women are equal. No humans are equal, except for maybe twins. We can literally measure the differences, and no, there is no other definition of equality.
