That is, do you get where they're coming from? Can you put yourself in their shoes?

I'm a BP lady, but I think I can empathize with TRP. I think we've reached a phase where the unfairness of how men are treated is more obvious. Women's gender roles, by contrast, are becoming more flexible.I can see how all the focus on women's issues can make men feel neglected, as their own gender related issues aren't mainstream.

I can also see how this can make the dynamics of dating difficult. They have pressure to perform. There's a contradiction between traditional romance and progressive notions of women's independence, and some women adopt the parts of both mindsets that benefit themselves ("Pay for everything."). I don't have a problem with seeking techniques in order to sleep with women, either. Lots of pressure is put on men to lose their virginity as soon as possible, and not having lots of sex is portrayed as some kind of failure to be a man.

(A RP person can tell me if I'm totally wrong or missing something)

The reason I have a strong dislike for TRP is that there is a tendency to blame all of these problems on women and/or feminism. There's the sexist, pseudoscience evo-psch stuff that makes generalizations about inherent female nature. There's the blatant misogyny.

Whelp, now it's your turn.
