After having read a lot of feminist discourse on the subject of Nice Guy(TM) and particularly the maxim "genuinely nice guys have no trouble getting laid" my conclusion is that the only purpose the NIce Guy label serves is as a useful shaming technique. The only thing it is good for is to shame unsuccessful men. And no, I know from first hand experience that women don't care about how nice you are. Case in fact. *Junior high school guy who bullied me so bad he broke my nose and caused me to develop chronic depression? Women all swooned over him, and when I finally had it with his physical violence and used 6 years of taekwondo training to beat him back, the very same women were there to tell me that I was a violent sociopath. And how about when I got to college? The guy who held weekly lectures about how I would never see a real vagina because I was in STEM? He had women swooning over him. The guys in grad school who bullied me so bad that I had to drop out due to post-traumatic stress disorder, we are talking about things like holding weekly lectures about how incompetent and worthless I am, writing threatening letters filled with false accusations about things I hadn't done, were I even had corroborating evidence that I wasn't in the same city during the time when I had supposedly carried out the acts, and even going so far as to make threatening phone calls about making the letter public? They all have live-in partners now. Some of these partners are even staunch feminists. I on the other hand am on disability due to the bullying and will probably never have a relationship. So tell me, if women can sniff out who is and who isn't a genuinely nice guy. What crimes have I committed that are worse than what these men did?
