I've seen the argument being made over and over again that modern-day women are over-validated over social media (with likes and DMs). I can understand that there is an over-exposure, but I'm undecided. Surely beautiful and/or unique/strange women get the most attention? And the average-looking women would get attention depending on how they present themselves online? I know it is fun to see a selfie or post of yours getting attention, but the excitement wears off within a few minutes at max...

Does social media boost your confidence? Or lower it?

Are the arguments that women are ego-filled due to social media alone real?
