The core of AWALT and hypergamy still apply. Best evidence of this is the differences between gay relationships and lesbian relationships. Lesbian relationships are basically worse in almost every discernable way. It's bad enough in hetero relationships to deal with female solipsism and hypergamy. Imagine both parties behaving that way. Sounds like a nightmare.

TRP does not care about lesbians, it is a tool to heterosexual interactions. But it has explanations to women's nature that fit perfectly with lesbians.

Lesbians epitomize hypergamy in marriage for example.

Lesbians have 1.5-3 times the divorces rates of gay men, while heterosexual marriages fall somewhere in between the homosexual couples (Feel free to find any proof of the contrary in same-sex and same-benefits marriages, I couldn't find it no matter the languages)

This makes sense in TRP as you have 2 women and such 2 times the hypergamy making marriages susceptible to destruction when a high value person passes by.

Studies in evolutionary psychology and sexual selection theory show that heterosexual men prefer younger mating partners than heterosexual women in order to ensure reproductive success. However, previous research has generally not examined differences in mating preferences as a function of sexual orientation or the type of relationship sought in naturalistic settings. Given that homosexual men seek partners for reasons other than procreation, they may exhibit different mating preferences than their heterosexual counterparts. Moreover, mating preferences may show important differences depending on whether an individual is seeking a long-term versus a short-term relationship. The purpose of the present study was to examine these issues by comparing partner preferences in terms of age and relationship type between homosexual and heterosexual men placing internet personal advertisements. Participants included 439 homosexual and 365 heterosexual men who placed internet ads in the U.S. or Canada. Ads were coded for the participant's age, relationship type (longer-term or short-term sexual encounter) sought, and partner age preferences. Significantly more homosexual than heterosexual men sought sexual encounters, although men (regardless of sexual orientation) seeking sexual encounters preferred a significantly wider age range of partners than men seeking longer-term relationships. These findings suggest that partner preferences are independent of evolutionary drives to procreate, since both types of men preferred similar ages in their partners. In addition, they highlight the importance of examining relationship type in evolutionary studies of mating preferences, as men's partner preferences show important differences depending upon the type of relationship sought.

Basically, homosexual partner preferences are independent of evolutionary drives to procreate. Whereas heterosexual partner preferences are highly motivated by evolutionary drives to procreate. In conclusion, homosexual partner preferences are independent and don't intersect at all with TRP's theories that parallel evo-psych doctrines.

I'd broaden this question even further: "How does queerness intersect with theories on human sexual evolution (in general)?". Well it doesn't; if evolution always worked its wonders in engineering manner, there would be neither gays nor inheritable diseases. As one (in)famous person once said, "evolution is not a designer, it's a tinkerer".

Second, do "true lesbians" exist? Last time I checked, there is no genetic marker or developmental marker discovered that would correlate with lesbianism (in the same way as Xq28 and finger index have - imperfect, but still strong - predictive power for gay men). I'm aware of some twin studies, but the usage of "lesbian or bisexual" in their sampling renders them useless for the topic. But even if we're dealing with a huge bunch of LARPing bisexual women who "identify as lesbian" while having sexual attraction to (but not preference for) men, their boundaries should be respected.

Let's assume "Yes" for the second question. Lesbians could (not necessarily are, but could) be the most AWALTy people to ever walk the Earth. For men, for men's mating and reproductive strategy, they are completely irrelevant. TRP theories are mostly oriented on men. "There is an AWALT out there, but she will never have sex with you, cohabitate with you, marry you or have children with you" - for men's subjective POV, translates into "There is a NAWALT out there".

IMO lesbianism rather than lesbian identity is understood as a new right of passage into womanhood. I think it's idealised as some form enriching experience/ affirmation of independence. It's also pushed in a lot of mainstream media, supposedly for the pleasure of men according to jaded feminists, however women are the ones consuming it so I don't think it's really what's going on here. Women will put women on a pedestal just as much as men will (they will also tear them down in similar ways). They will also ascribe very little value for the men that they do not feel attracted to, unless it's a close relative, or friend.

I think it can be practiced as a proxy for the feelings that emerge when they are infatuated with a man, but it happens that in most cases the closest thing is the excitement of the taboo, and yet nurturing aspect of SS practices with women. And also women are more hostile to men that they think could be attracted to them, so they can be closed off when they think a man is straight, but are more open to contact with gays and women, because it makes them feel less anxious. They thrive on oxytocin as, humans normally do, but way more by contrast to men, and that close mutual contact with their peers can and does tend to escalate. (I read this funky theory about how women may have evolved to seek that kind of contact with women as a way to cope with the eventual death of their male mates, and establish more cohesive co-parenting relationships with other females in the tribe, so their could be a link to some hard-wired notion of male disposability involved too, and some DNA informing women to bond this way as a reproductive strategy.)

I don't know enough about male homosexuality to comment.
