I recently saw a meme online saying “bitches didn’t like me when I was local so now I am rich and I won’t be dating them”. Translation: I was poor and living in the ghetto and the girls who were also poor and living in the ghetto didn’t want me. Now I am rich and I want nothing to do with them.

Basically the male equivalent of “if you didn’t want me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best”.

Here’s the thing:

Why the duck would I want anything to do with a man who is living in the ghetto??? Even if I was FROM THE GHETTO???? Why the duck wouldn’t I want to be HYPERGAMOUS and GTFO?

If I was living in the ghetto, not only would I aggressively pursue some kind of career like nursing, accounting, engineering, or trade school, but I would exclusively date men who aren’t “local”... who aren’t living in the ghetto. Or at the minimum, are working extremely hard to GTFO.

And somehow this is morally bad????

On Instagram, some lady became a millionaire because while living in poverty working as a CNA, she opened a scrubs business and now is rich. But guess what? Her husband is in JAIL. And she is raising her kids alone!!!!

SHE LITERALLY COULD HAVE BYPASSED THE NIGHTMARE OF HAVING AN IMPRISONED LIFE PARTNER AND BEING A SINGLE MOM IF SHE WAS HYPERGAMOUS AND EXCLUSIVELY WENT WITH MEN WHO WERE MINIMALLY SUCCESSFUL.

I don’t understand why this is somehow amoral or wrong. Why the heck wouldn’t I want a life for my future children to be outside the ghetto? Why wouldn’t I not date “within my league”??? For what? To date another impoverished CNA and struggle to get by in poverty? Where is the security and comfort for your children and future children in that???

Also a lady I know is living in a trailer park with 4 kids. She married her equal. What was the benefit? A lifetime on the struggle bus? At least she loves him “at his worst”. 🙄
