Personality, friendship, bonds, connection, relationship, love, care, empathy, and other non-looks based stuff matters. Like I'm sort of neurodivergent and/or I have a personality disorder and I can't get any woman, even a 1 out of 10 in looks, because of those things I mentioned, and women have told me that I'm like a 6 out of 10 in looks.

I am boiler cap average and I’ve always known it. I’m also six feet tall which makes me seem more noticable and awkward. I never bothered trying to date up. I’m a woman. I always seeked out and was attracted to other average looking men.

I still think there’s more to attraction than just looks but social media has fucked people’s perspective beyond any and all recognition.

This thread likely gets deleted fast as it exemplifies the issue with the Black Pill: it exaggerates the importance of looks.

There are good arguments to be made about the increasing importance of physical appearance and the impact this has. But when you say 'looks are everything' you go too far. It's just wrong and eliminates any room for actually interesting discussion about the importance of looks.

The reason why TRP puts emphasis on game is because it works. TRP community in it's essence is just men sharing notes on what works to get women, knowing game works to get girls. Yes looks is a significant component, but it's not even the majority.

Sure on dating apps where you're only judged based on a photo and age, of course it all depends on looks. But in current year 2026, it's established that the apps aren't for men. And knowing game is even more true today because most men lack it today, most men are not approaching today.

i think its a bit of yes and no. like, for sure looks make scoring dates a whole lot easier and opens up you dating pool to a much wider selection of people, but i dont think it is all you need to actually find a relationship.

like, if i went on a date with a 9/10 but it was dull, and a date with a 6/10 guy but i really enjoyed it, of course i'm going to choose the 6/10 guy because, at the end of the day, i don't want a relationship with a person that i don't enjoy spending time with.
