It's basically the "I dated plenty of bad boys who were my guilty pleasure in the past, but now that I want to settle down, you're the safer choice" - you don't have to be a redpiller to be offended by that (stop watching at 1:20). The fact that it has a racial angle just makes the whole thing more obvious.

And to be honest, I can relate - if a woman whose past dating decisions made it abundantly clear I am not her type was suddenly hitting on me once she got to the marrying age, I would assume she had ulterior motives (especially if I had, well, superior providing capacities), and let this factor into my decision of whether I'd date her or not.

In fact, the woman in that post actually admits that she had ulterior motives that had nothing to do with attraction.

Even before I ever found Reddit, I always suspected this kind of behavior for a long time. It really turned me off Asian women (alongside the fact that my primary bullies when I was very young being a group of Asian girls). I am sympathetic to men in those situations, and while I don't particularly like TRP, I can see how those situations would lead them to TRP. Recently, I have come to understand why TRP is so appealing - they seem to be the only ones who are empathetic to them. Everyone else just yells at them and tells them they are wrong, like their feelings don't matter.

After hearing all these stories, and seeing similar things in real life, I am definitely wary of being settled for by a woman of my own ancestry later in life.

I think "betraying their own race" is a bit strong though.

For clarification on my interest, my dad is actually half white and half (undisclosed) Asian. While he has some strong opinions on women of his mother's culture, most of them revolve around their temper (Asian women aren't that sweet and demure, sorry). I don't think he would ever go to describe them with the same sexually-based vitriol, nor have I met ANY mixed man who holds those kinds of opinions.

No man wants to be sexually "looked down on." It makes total sense and is totally excusable and understandable in my mind that an Asian man would not want to date an Asian girl who has predominantly fucked white guys her entire youth. The same goes for white guys who don't want to date a white girl who predominantly fucked black guys in her prime. No one wants to be looked at as lesser or "second" or "back-up." Fuck that shit.

As a black guy who predominant beds white chicks (just easier I find), I can understand how it would happen. I mean I don't want to get married period but culture clashes mean that its generally easier to 'have fun' with white girls.

The premise that they are "betraying their race" is debatable. I myself am on the fence, I probably agree 50% with that sentiment. It is interesting, when I was younger and more naive, I joked about how there was always some white guy (partner of female asian family or family friend) at our family parties. Now that I am a bit older I realize why that was so.

But it is not debatable that women are generally attracted to status and power. White men are clearly above asian and south asian men status-wise, and therefore can more more easily pull those women.

I'm an Indian-American. I suspect half the threads in question (especially the ones with drive-by OPs) are trolls. Nevertheless, the phenomenon is real. It's simply AFBB combined with racial-hierarchy and hypergamy. Nothing surprising.

Note: Dating outside your race is not being a race-traitor. Dating exclusively outside your race is being a race-traitor, and is especially egregious when you return to your race as a fallback option to get married after riding the white (or sometimes black) carousel.

I think it's important to remember that this particular post in /r/TwoXChromosomes was made by an anonymous individual with a throwaway account. I saw that TRP was like "Alpha Fucks Beta Bucks in action," but there are so many things wrong with that. We have no way of knowing if it was a troll post or not.

If it was real, then she's kinda sounds like a shitty person. Saying that she was dating an Asian guy because she wanted to connect to her cultural heritage implies that she might not be attracted to him if he wasn't Asian. Of course this has already been pointed out in TRP, TBP, and everywhere else this story popped up.

Regardless, what was really sad was the TRP brigading. Yeah, most large subs do it, including TBP, but it still sucks to see it in action.

I think looking at race is pointless. Those women aren't marriage material because of racial issues. They aren't a good fit for those guys because one has a sex tape on the web while lying about being a virgin and the other has been with more people and there is an experience imbalance. This is a balance of power issue more than anything; if those guys in those relationships bedded more women over the course of their lives they wouldn't be so insecure as to tolerate the presence of such deceitful and racist women.

I understand where the men are coming from, but I don't think it's a betrayal of race. According to red pill theory it sounds like the fraction of women who do this are are simply following a sexual strategy that makes sense under the premise that other races have more "alpha" men and their own race is safer/more "beta". To me it just seems like the same rehashed complaint that women are going for the "alpha" types when younger - which again, according to red pill theory, should be a perfectly valid sexual strategy even if it doesn't work in the men's favor.

I'd also like to note that in areas with few East Asian or Indian people, there's going to be a supply problem and it's not at all surprising that women (and men) would date outside their race. This still holds true in places where there are more, because East Asians/Indians are still a minority except for certain small parts of America. Race loyalty from the getgo makes little sense from a practical perspective.

TL;DR don't hate the players.

I'm a person of mixed background that identifies with TRP, but not any usual TRP races, I'm black and indigenous Mexican.

I don't see what the women do as "betraying" their race, but it is suspicious when a woman chooses to fuck other, more stereotypically masculine and attractive races of men (white, black, latino) and then choose to settle down with an Asian or Indian who are stereotyped as friendly, submissive, nice guy nerds. She sees the other race guys as exciting and fun and sexy while her own race is for getting married and having children, guys you have sex with in the missionary position for the rest of your life.

It's like when women spend their teens and twenties fucking super attractive and exciting guys with muscles and nice cars and criminal records and bitches and shit and then marry a boring guy with a skinny fat body and no face and very limited experience.

Well I think ultimately it comes down to whether the girls are thinking "I'm going to fuck around outside my ethnic group until I hit The Wall then find a nice Beta Bux from my ethnicity to lock down" or if they actually think they'll end up with a guy from another ethnicity then finally grow up and realize they're better off with someone from their own group.

If it's the former then she's just a shitty person. If it's the latter then she's just young and dumb. I've heard enough anecdotes to believe that the former is common although we can't rule out the possibility of the latter in some cases.

Either way, we have the additional question of why these girls avoid the "fun times" with their own men. I leave that debate to others.

I'm a mixed brown girl with white adoptive parents who's dated pretty much exclusively white guys.

In my case, my parents were/are unfortunately actively racist and that really influenced things a lot I felt about guys, esp back in high school etc. My dad is most racist against Black people and Arabs and my mom most racist against Hispanics (specifically, Puerto Ricans), but they're not super thrilled about Asians either. Seriously I've got a fucking ranked list in my head from the two of them about which colors of men are most -> least acceptable to date.

Maybe some of it was that I happened to be around white guys more, but I'd be lying if I said my parents views (and actions/cajoling) hadn't had a big impact on me in that regard, something that's taken a long time to get over, and I'm not completely done.

So it's not like if I started dating a more, er, phenotypically similar dude tomorrow it would be settling. Quite the opposite. I can only see it happening honestly if I really really liked the guy, because though my father has mellowed a bit, I still cringe at the idea of having to introduce a non-white guy to him. :/ I'd do it anyway if I loved the guy, but DAMN would I not look forward to that day.

It's bullshit, it's like Jewish Grandma angry at 17 year old Mordecai for dating Terry, a black girl from school. Grandma then says, "Yaw betrayen yur raice, Morteigh, Let's fiynd yoo a naise Joo-ish garl instayd!"

It's based literally in racism rather than acknowledging the myriad of reasons that Mordecai is dating Terry rather than Dana, a Jewish girl from Morty's class. Who one dates is one's own buisiness.

If Morty winds up marrying Dana later down the line, it could ALSO be for a myriad of reasons. Maybe Morty wasn't too into his religion in high school, but then found value from it later down the line and wants to be able to share that with someone he definitely knows he can. Maybe he is dating Dana for completely unrelated reasons and she just HAPPENS to be Jewish. We don't fucking know. That discussion is for Morty and Dana to have.
