Curious on what people think about this because I'm having a debate with a close friend of mine.

My take on it is, the people who usually have their partner in their pfp with them (together) in the picture tend to be pretty commited, and serious, or well overall happy, and want to show off.

My friend argues that a lot of the times, that's a no go, usually stems from codependency (controlling), or possessiveness and wanting a loud note of, "back off" to other people, possibly because their partner was walking in the lines of having already cheated, or got caught in the midst of it.

I'll notice with couples too, like this one couple I follow, she has pictures of her and her man all over Instagram, and they are a cute couple, I think even her pfp is of them together, but I noticed on his profile he rarely posts couple photos of them, nor has his pfp of them. They seem to be thriving though but I don't know them.

Another couple (ex-bestie) a picture of her and her man, they've been together for 5 years now, is a pfp of them at Disneyland. His pfp isn't a couple photo. She's very happy with him and they're doing well.

Which makes me think a pfp with your partner tends to be a plus? And cute, rather than a negative aspect?

Thoughts?

Would you make your socials profiles a pic of you and your couple? If not, any opinion?
