The producers of this awful film forgot about quality and expected it to do well just because it has women in it. It's all form and no substance.

Just because you featured women in your movie does not excuse bad writing and a terrible story.

There's so many movies with strong female characters that are actually good movies. Like the original Mulan for example.

Even if you look at The Lord of the Rings, Galadriel, Arwen, and Eowyn are strong and powerful heroines.

Even games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are excellent games and they have a strong female lead.

The downside of trying to force feed feminism in films, there plenty of bad ass women in movies, Ripley in Alien, Sarah Connor in Terminator, Furiosa in Mad Max, all had great story’s which is why they worked. Problem is they try to make movies showing empowered women just on the trait and idea they are a women, which always falls flat, and to be honest is degrading in itself to women who are powerful because of the person they are not their gender.

The other two Charlie's Angels films worked because they were fun, tongue in cheek action movies that didn't push an agenda down the throats of the people who paid to watch them. I decided to say fuck it to all the negativity about ghostbusters 2016. I didn't care, as long it was entertaining.

OMFG that was a horrible shit show.

The forced humor and terrible special effects was just hard to enjoy.

Chris Hemsworth is a great actor and has the Thor roll to fall back on. I could totally see a average actor seeing his career being ended with that roll. Damn.

I like Elizabeth Banks, however everybody has his or her own faults (it's her entitlement). When being interviewed for this movie she said (and I'm paraphrasing because I'm lazy to find the direct quote) "As a woman, I gladly watched a bunch of movies that were made for guys, now why can't they do the same for us?"

Full disclosure, I haven't seen the movie. Not because of protest or political reasons, it's because of bad marketing (I saw few trailers, and I thought it was going to be a TV show series, not a movie) and bad reviews.

If you want guys to watch it, make the women be "badass", not "boss bitches". The difference is "That was soo cool, I wish I could do that" and "Rude authoritative figure who thinks they can get away with anything".

Acting like a "boss" is a toxic male trait, and having female characters imitate that in "boss bitch" is also toxic female behavior.

The mid-credits ending of the movie was spoiled to me by a youtuber, and what they said was To see all of those female celebrities doing all those stunts was cool, like they are too part of the spy organization. Why couldn't that have been a part of the actual movie than added in the end?

I understand suspense of disbelief when watching a movie, but there are certain things you cant get away with, and one of them is 100lb stick women beating up on goon gangster men. I could break the bones of these women easily and I barely work out. Women are incredibly frail compared to men, and could never do the things they do to men in these action movies in real life.

Hell we had that male to female trans enter MMA and crack some other female fighters skull open, and she was a trained fighter. Its got nothing to do with sexism, its just obvious differences in size, muscle mass, bone density, and testosterone.
