She's smirking because she's going to get this all wiped from any record of hers.

[–]weigookin 79 points80 points81 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Age of consent is very strange. I joined the army after my 17th birthday. I couldn’t fuck, drink, or vote but I could join the military… go figure

[–]SleepDeprivedUserUK 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's called meat-fodder.

[–]ascendingisborn 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

17 is legal in some places, if only she was in my old state

[–]Ctrl_H_Delete 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In PA it's 16

[–]codemonkeyhopeful 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wasn't aware that was even possible. Thank you for the service and all but yeah kinda fucked up situation to be in.

[–]yogoya644 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing is

They want you to die for a country that doesn't give a shit about you.

Male disposability...

[–]TheDeconsecrator 170 points171 points172 points 4 years ago* (49 children) | Copy Link

This gonna be spicy because its borderline

In the UK she would be in no legal trouble because the age, concent is 16, so as long as she never forced him, that part is OK.

but she would be fired because sleeping with a student isn't allowed and maybe some legal trouble over taking advantage of people she is in a position of power over.

This has happened in the UK before and I don't think much was done legally to punsh the teacher other than removing their ability to teach again

Edit* reading this again, it looks like the guy was the one who reported the assault himself, so she need jail time if proven true.

[–]BewareOfThePug 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Consent is upped to 18 if there is a student teacher relationship present

[–]cr4sh_overr1de 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Under UK law it’s “abuse in a position of trust”. She would see time behind bars and no longer be allowed around kids.

[–]flabbybumhole 39 points40 points41 points 4 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

It sort of depends why he reported it. If he genuinely felt abused then yeah lock her up, but it could also be a fuck you to her because she wouldn't do something else that he wanted.

Can't really take sides on this one without knowing the whole story.

[–]knewbie_one 76 points77 points78 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I remember a US student reporting he teacher after she gave him a blow job because of her "teethy performance" :)

Cannot find the link but that one was funny

That's the one !!!

[–]whotfleap 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That was at my old high school…Miami central😂

[–]_wrong_ad_ 37 points38 points39 points 4 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

A teacher fucked a high school student. I know which side I’m on.

[–]flabbybumhole 33 points34 points35 points 4 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

Oh yeah she definitely broke the law and needs to face the consequences - she put herself in that situation.

But I'm not about to pretend that a 17 doesn't know what they're doing (or that the 1 year difference between 17 and 18 makes her a terrible person), and that a 17 year old wouldn't use something like this to blackmail someone.

I don't know the full facts, so I'm just not going to judge much on this - I'd rather see what comes of it in court.

[–]Darrenk971 32 points33 points34 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Doesn’t matter ! If this was a man getting oral he’d be in jail so equal rights right?

[–]flabbybumhole 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

It's just as retarded to pretend that 17 year old girls don't know what their doing either.

I'm not saying the teacher is without blame, the law is well known and she knowingly broke it, but it's not like she abused a child like some people want to pretend.

[–]Mustikos 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I agree to extent. I personally get sick of the "Child of 17" A 17 year old is NOT a child. It really angers me when I see stuff like when a 19 year goes to prison because he was with a 17 year old. That is Two freaking years difference and yet everybody acts like he is a 50 year old and she was a 5 year old. To often when you point out about the small age gap people like to say you MUST be a pedo and promote that. Its insane how far people reach. A 17 year old knows right form wrong, still I know they can make mistakes and being a teacher is why I can't side with her at all. Position of power an all that.

I wish I could remember their ages but I remember a man going to prison for an crazy amount of time because he got a younger girl pregnant but their ages weren't that far apart. Both families like both the girl and the boy, they where to get married. Nope off to prison he goes.

I think Colorado does it best if I remember right where the age groups make more sense. Hell if Texas has the one law I can't remember the name of.

[–]Ganymede25 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Texas has a law that outlaws a school employee having sex with a student at that school regardless of age of consent.

As far as being 17, I hesitate calling 17 year olds children. A person at this age is automatically tried as an adult in most crimes and is usually above the statutory age of consent in most states.

[–]Mustikos 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What I meant by the Texas law is that Romeo and Juliet law and that Colorado breaks it down to better age groups. Laws that don't really freak out about as 19 year old and 17 year old.

[–]Ganymede25 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s correct. I’m talking about two different things though. In Texas, the age of consent is 17. However, the state doesn’t want to prosecute an 18 year old senior for having sex with his 16 year old high school girlfriend. Thus Romeo and Juliet.

The other law is one that prohibits any school employee from entering into a sexual relationship with a student of that school regardless of age. As students are essentially required or encouraged to go to high school, we don’t want a person in authority over them as they can’t really escape. As far as I know, the law wouldn’t apply to a school employee at a different school.

[–]CrustyBloke 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's just as retarded to pretend that 17 year old girls don't know what their doing either.

I kind of think that 17 year girls probably have a better grasp of the situation than 17 year old boys.

When I was college, I was kind of shocked at the number of women who were very open and blatant about the fact that when they were 15 or 16 (sometimes even 14) they would go to college parties and sleep with guys who were in their 20s or even 30s.

[–]flabbybumhole 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They say that girls mature faster than guys, but I've overheard too many of their conversations to believe that to be true.

They're just better at mimicking maturity. Its surface level imo.

[–]CrustyBloke 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think they mature faster but also stop maturing, much, much sooner.

[+]PGSylphir -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you on the 17 year olds know what they're doing, but you need to think ahead a bit. Your argument is dangerous because if one year makes a difference then WHEN is it wrong? 16 to 17 is just one year so it's ok, 16 to 15, so on and so forth.

The 18 number (16 some places) have been reached to put a goal pole on this exact argument. Because 18 is an age the vast majority will know enough to be able to make decisions. Going past it has diminishing returns.

[–]Darrenk971 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No the adult is always to blame in these situations seriously wtf is wrong with you people defending pedos

[–]flabbybumhole 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because people are aware that the age limit is an arbitrary number.

An adult in the US sleeping with a 17 year old is breaking the law and therefore a "pedo", so how does that compare to an adult sleeping with a 16 year old in the UK where it's legal? What about countries with a higher age of consent than the US? Does that mean the US is full of pedophiles sleeping with 18 year olds?

[–]ShrineMaidenHakurei 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Doesn't matter, it's the adult's responsibility to say no to the child. If he had some sort of blackmail on her then she shouldn't be doing stuff that she could be blackmailed for.

[–]corba12 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

17 year old is not a child.

[–]_wrong_ad_ 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

But I'm not about to pretend that a 17 doesn't know what they're doing (or that the 1 year difference between 17 and 18 makes her a terrible person),

Just curious if you’d have the same opinion if the sexes were reversed. Does a 17 year old female have the same ability to know what they’re doing as a 17 year old male?

[–]flabbybumhole 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah I would.

[–]_wrong_ad_ 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ok that’s fair then

[–]tieredbeard -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I see this all the time. People feel emboldened to say things like that in here but you can be sure that their reddit history isn't full of posts saying 17 year old females knew what they were doing.

[–]Mambali -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ffs. That’s it for me on Reddit today.

[–]christiantrevor 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You actually can take sides on this one because it is illegal for a 30 yr adult to have sex with a 17 yr minor. Under any circumstances.

[–]xa3D 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

use this logic with the genders swapped...

[–]flabbybumhole 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same thing....

[–]Holl0wayTape -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Um, yes you can. He's a child. You take the child's side.

[–]SecretIdentity012361 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He probably bragged about it to his friends, and somehow his parents found out and guilty coaxed him into reporting it.

[–]ShrineMaidenHakurei 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I know UK law is fucked up and backwards, but I am sure even there if the older person is in any sort of power position, such as a teacher, the age of consent goes up to 18. That's how it is in US states with age of consent set at 16.

[–]DoritoFritoFries 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why is UK law fucked up? First I’m hearing of this

[–]Devidose 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Certain laws explicitly only apply to one sex due to the language used in definitions. The specifics being women by law in the UK cannot rape [anyone, man or another women as the sex of the victim isn't the issue of the definition here] due to lack of a penis. Any similar acts of 'forced sexual activity' are defined as "sexual assault" and while those defending these definitions will be quick to add on "but they carry they same weight in sentencing", it's complete bullshit because sentencing records show that to be false and from a more social POV if you present the phrases "rape" and "sexual assault" to the general public the former has far, far more emotional weight attached to it than the latter regardless of when the context involved means the same things happens it was just done by a man in the former case and a woman in the latter.

This is why when reported in the UK the newspapers cannot state "rape" because by legal definition that cannot have happened and to publish such information would be subject to classification as libel.

[–]ShrineMaidenHakurei 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ummm, minors can have sex with each other regardless of age of consent, generally speaking.

[–]TheDeconsecrator 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

yes that is the case, however thats the sort of law thats case by case, like if the person is 17, of sound mind and consenting, the courts will usual not prosecute, or at worst they will get a suspended sentence.

they will still lose the job they had and not be able to get any job working with vulnerable people or kids ever again.

also how is the uk law fucked up?

[–]ShrineMaidenHakurei 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Under UK law it's impossible for a male to be a rape victim, and lesbian rape is also ignored.

[–]Devidose 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not 100% accurate. Under UK laws it's impossible for a male to be a rape victim at the hands of a female perpetrator. Male on male would still classify the events as rape.

[–]SleepDeprivedUserUK 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I know UK law is fucked up and backwards

Could you elaborate? Genuinely curious.

[–]ShrineMaidenHakurei 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Look up their rape law.

[–]Devidose 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have mentioned this in my other comments in the replies to the above but a quick repeat: UK law defines rape as only being possibly committed by men. Women as per the definition cannot rape in the UK. This is one of the big reasons rape statistics are skewed in such a way that "all rapists are men".

[–]RIPSICLE421 71 points72 points73 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Sub about exposing women who get off because of their gender.

It's followers defending her because of her gender.

When I'm expressing sympathy for a boy that was high fived to death, clearly a joke, I should be safe trusting the reader to pick up on it.

Back in my day (nearly 35 years ago) one 17 year old guy was fucking the school nurse, and another a recently qualified teacher. Both were very open "secrets" and no one seemed to care. They were obviously legends among the school boys. Another got an old teenage dinner lady pregnant when he was 15. I think she got sacked, and he wasnt a legend because he was dum enough to get her pregnant, and she was ugly as hell/dum as rocks

[–]Emperor_Quintana 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So much for the use of contraceptives, let alone access to them.

But then again, I’m just a clueless working stiff. What do I know?

[–]tsatech493 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Pedophiles aren't interested in 17 year olds, only prepubescents. If this person is indeed only attracted to people in their teens then she has Ephebophilia. At least call it what it is instead of lumping everything into the same paraphilia.

[–]Devidose -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

17 year olds, only prepubescents

teens then she has Ephebophilia

At least call it what it is

Ironic considering neither of those terms are to do with age, nor did the person you're replying to use or define either of them. You however are making the same arguments MAPs do to justify their own positions regarding body/puberty status vs actual age.

Puberty is not something that happens to everyone at the same specific age and you can get 15 year olds that either are, or look, postpubescent as was the case with Nora Louise Kuzma, better known as Traci Lords, who was only 15 at the time she was active in the US adult film industry because her fake driving license that said she was 20 was believed by so many.

[–]tommychamberlain85 30 points31 points32 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Don’t you get it? It’s okay to joke about when it’s a male victim

[–]MuckleTee 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No, I get it. And yes, there are double standards. The father of this boy would be horrified and traumatized if this happened to his 17year old daughter. No, I'm not saying this boys father is, was, or going to approve of this happening to his son. But as myself being a father of both a son and a daughter, there is a difference. Was it wrong? Yes. Did she break the law? Yes. Should she be held accountable? Again, Yes.

[–]Thesleepycaptain 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That difference is the reason this sub exists. Wait until your daughter causes someone's son to lose their job and watch people waffle over what to do because "there's a difference"

Again. I understand that. And yes this woman will get off with a very light jail sentence compared to a man teacher doing the same to a 17 year old female student. I again, do not agree with it. And... You're kinda hitting me below the belt with the "your daughter" stuff. Her mother and I both raise her and her brother in an old fashioned style Irish Catholic upbringing to appreciate the strengths each men and woman can have, and not whine about sexism, or preach feminism. Men and women are not the same biologically so the circumstances are always different. In this particular case there appears to be no real victim but on paper he’s a minor so she’s getting arrested on a technicality.

He is the one that exposed the event to the police as he found it wrong. Causing the arrest.

Meaning, it was not consensual in this case and this 30 year old woman probably groomed this young man.

[–]nikdentsh -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

If the gender were reversed it would have been a big thing because a woman is physically incapable of raping a man without the use of drugs, the article mentions no such use. It is evident that it isn’t rape, it is at worst a coercion, which is bad I know, but it isn’t rape.

[–]illogicallogical 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

See the bullshit here? Woman rapes man. Whatever. Genders reversed? Bad. Clearly what happened here is rape since the dude is the one who reported it. Clearly he had a problem with it.

What’s with all of these women going into the teaching profession so they’ll have sexual access to male students? Maybe women who are looking to enter the teaching profession should be vetted to determine whether or not they are sexual predators.

[–]Illunal 77 points78 points79 points 4 years ago (74 children) | Copy Link

Good. Too many men get raped and then get laughed at because people refuse to believe that it's impossible for a man to not want sex. I doubt they'd be capable of fathoming the amount of men who get raped but just don't speak up because they've learned to "man up" because of the pressure put on them by society and the fact that most people who tell men to be open with their feelings tend to ridicule the man for doing so (if they don't just callously write him off) and take the sensitive information to use as ammunition later on.

Doesn't matter if the rapist is a beautiful women. The double standards are real here and everyone is at fault including the men on this thread.

Edit: Just learned the actual demographic for this sub and it seemed I was wrong about this sub.

Nah the sub is about hypocrisy AND it's full of incels. I'm with you on this, she doesn't get a pussypass because she's hot or because the guy was "close enough" to being an adult. That is coercion.

Words mean things. The word “rape” and “assault” are getting attached to things they have no business being attached to.

Rape has always been understood to be a forcible act, despite what the woke terminology tries to redefine it as.

This is the same idiocy that tries to turn 2 intoxicated adults into “mutual rapists” for having a drunk hookup. It’s lunacy.

If you threaten somebodies job, yes that is and should be a crime - but they also can walk the fuck out.

Was it rape when groupies would blow the roadie so she could meet the band?

You know what is much harder to believe?

“She raped me”.

And there is a goddamn good physiological reason that this is a preposterous notion unless a weapon or restraints or forced anal penetration with an object were involved.

[–]TSwizzlesNipples 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Accounting for prison rapes, men are raped at almost the same rates as women. Of the men that self-report being the victim of rape, 80% identify their rapist as a woman.

Of the rapes in prison, 60 something percent of them are guard on inmate. Of those rapes, 90+% are female guard on male inmate. Keep in mind that any sexual contact between a guard and inmate is considered rape because of the extreme power imbalance.

[–]palini_the_great 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

From wiki: Much like female erectile response, male erectile response is involuntary,[30][31] meaning that a man does not need to be aroused for his penis to become erect; mechanical stimulation is all that is necessary. Arousal and stimulation are distinct things. Stimulation is a physical response to a stimulus. Men can be physically stimulated without feeling aroused and thus causing an erection. Men can be scared and intimidated into an erection, especially if the person is older or an authority.[32]

Ok. I give you credit for coming up with a couple of cases (one from a tabloid)

I’m both cases, as I had alluded to in an earlier post that “they could use a gun, I suppose” which - of fucking course makes it a different situation seeing as the threat of death is on the man.

Please, any guy share with me a time where your dick got hard when you were repulsed, scared or traumatized.

So you're telling us, a guy how is getting sexually harassed by a woman and because he got a boner, then it's not sexual harassment? So by this logic, a woman being sexually harassed while having her nipples erect isn't being sexually harassed.

Sounds stupid doesn't it?

Many men have to take pills just to get hard when they want to for Christ’s sake.

So erectile dysfunction? Because plenty of men don't need pills to get hard.

[–]Im_The_Daiquiri_Man -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Dicks are not nipples.

Dicks don’t get hard when it’s cold, they get small.

Barring morning wood and spontaneous boners, dicks respond almost exclusively to pleasurable sexual stimuli, visual and physical .

Have you actually had sex?

Would you have no problem getting hard with a gun to your head or a knife to your throat?

How can people make this comparison with a straight face?

Literally just denying basic physiology.

[–]illogicallogical 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Barring morning wood and spontaneous boners, dicks respond almost exclusively to pleasurable sexual stimuli, visual and physical .

That doesn't mean that someone who pops a boner automatically wants to have sex. It's a basic biological reaction to a visual stimuli. If I see a hot naked woman and I get a boner from it, that doesn't mean I must want to have sex with that woman. What if I find her repulsive in personality? What if I know she has stds?

So by your logic, a woman who gets horny or gets erect nipples from being sexually harassed isn't being sexually harassed. Sound like something a sexual harssser would say.

She enjoyed it because she got horny!111!!1!1!1

[–]Im_The_Daiquiri_Man -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What the hell does looking at a hot woman have to do with being raped by her?

I’m just gonna say it. I don’t believe you are a man, and if you are you haven’t had sex.

Also your arguments are just pure circular garbage.

Now we’ve gone from a “rape” scenario to a man getting turned on by looking at a woman, then back to comparing nipples to dicks.

You sound like a 12 year old girl here so I’m gonna bid you good day.

[–]illogicallogical 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying dicks are exactly the same as nipples you idiot. Women's nipples get erect when they feel horny, the same that happens to a dick when a guy gets horny.

So by your stupid logic, woman who is getting sexually harassed while having erect nipples isn't being sexually harassed because, hurr hurr, she horny.

Have you actually had sex?

Have you actually had sex since you don't know this simple fact?

[–]Im_The_Daiquiri_Man -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Nipples can get hard for any number of reasons having nothing to do with sexual arousal.

Dicks do not do this, outside of morning wood.

So, sure. If some woman jumped on your morning boner and started riding away without your consent. Sure. There we go.

But, it’s common fucking sense that 99/100 times if a guy is hard, he wants to fuck what he’s looking at.

You are being deliberately obtuse and it’s embarrassing to watch.

MRA types and weird SJW’s have joined hands (cue Predator meme) to defy common sense in order to expand the definition of rape so much that it’s meaning is all but lost.

Despite the virtue signaling, every man with a dick knows you aren’t going to be “raped” via PiV sex in the literal sense by a woman.

As Patrice O’Neal said, men are the fuckERs and women are the fuckEEs.

Apparently this is controversial now. Lol.

[–]Versaiteis 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

That other dude is a dumbass

It's sexist because it risks invalidating male victims of rape by making very broad assumptions based solely on their gender. You've already mentioned this is possible through drugs and sedation, but there's also coercion and even brute force. Not all guys are stronger than all women, though you've thrown in "average" to get around this (even though we're talking about a 17 year old boy here), but weight can matter a lot here too. Or there might be multiple women, or they might have help from a male counter-part. I could also certainly imagine someone being into BDSM and trusting someone they shouldn't who continues to fuck them after they've been restrained and revoked their consent.

That guy no doubt wanted it and is now snitching like an ungrateful little bitch

The fuck does "gratitude" have to do with this? This is just toxic and is exactly what the poster you replied to was talking about.

[–]nikdentsh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

In case you don’t know, coercion isn’t rape, the “victim” always has a choice to walk out, yes it’s shitty but it isn’t rape so let’s use words for what they mean. You then bring up the argument about weight, a woman has to be substantially fat to overpower a man with her mass alone, judging by her picture, the weight argument falls short.

Then there is the bdsm thing, yes it could be that the guy revoked his consent after being tied up, but what are the chances that he did that, most men(especially teenagers) are horny af. Most importantly, if he were tied up then the article would definitely mention that.

He should be grateful for being one of the few teenagers who had their fantasy fulfilled, almost all teenagers have fantasised about fucking their teacher at some point in their life

[–]Versaiteis 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

We're talking generics, but glad you're willing to back off your main original point.

He should be grateful for being one of the few teenagers who had their fantasy fulfilled, almost all teenagers have fantasised about fucking their teacher at some point in their life

You don't know this. For all you know he's gay.

[–]nikdentsh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

How did I back from my main point? I literally only questioned the arguments you brought up.

Yes he very much could be gay, but that still falls into my original comment, if he were gay then her raping him most definitely means she overpowered or drugged him. The article mentions no use of drug and she physically is unable to overpower him, hence it isn’t rape.

[–]Versaiteis 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You originally stated that it's impossible, in all cases.

You've then admitted that that's not the case.

[–]nikdentsh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I originally said what is impossible? That women can’t rape men without sedatives? This is still a fact.

You may have a point but your comment is too vague. If you’re referring to the gay thing thing, there is no mention of anything such. Seeing as how he had sex with her, I’m willing to bet he isn’t gay.

[–]nikdentsh -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I’ll tell you how “statutory rape” is vague. Rape implies that one of the parties had no consent, but it is close to impossible for that woman to overpower a 17 year old guy. They automatically charge anything sexual involving a minor with statutory rape

[–]InkMonkey1991 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'd like you to read this altered version of your own comment and know your opinion on it.

[–]nikdentsh -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wow, did you not study biology in middle school? Most men overpower most women by a vast margin, only 1% of women population could potentially overpower an average man.

Rape by definition requires the attacker to be stronger than the victim, a woman can’t rape a man if he is conscious because she is going to get absolutely bodied by him. A woman could go to gym for 10 years and she still wouldn’t come close to the strength of a man. That is why I said a woman can’t rape a man if he is conscious, but a man can very much rape a woman even if she is conscious. It’s a double standard, I know, but life inherently is double standard, if it weren’t then women and men would be the same

To all the dudes saying “how can a guy be raped by a girl?”

This

Is

How

Using a weapon, position of power (i.e: if you don’t then I’ll accuse you of rape), or grooming is STILL RAPE.

[–]WikiSummarizerBot 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rape of males

A proportion of victims of rape or other sexual violence incidents are male. Historically, rape was thought to be, and defined as, a crime committed solely against females. This belief is still held in some parts of the world, but rape of males is now commonly criminalized and has been subject to more discussion than in the past. Rape of males is still taboo, and has a negative connotation among heterosexual and homosexual men.

[–]FuckYourFee-Fees 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16, so I’m genuinely confused on what crime was committed. I’m honestly not trying to be snarky, I’m confused and don’t understand.

[–]CosmicPaber -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I believe that it must be another minor under the age of 18 years for it to be considered legitimate consent. Anything above that age is considered statutory rape. And thats my belief behind it.

Edit: the age of consent across the entire U.S. is 18 years of age and states can allow it to be 16 as long as the parties are 16-18. I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it works.

[–]DynamicDK 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

the age of consent across the entire U.S. is 18 years of age and states can allow it to be 16 as long as the parties are 16-18. I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it works.

That is not how it works. It is completely up to the states. Some have an age of consent that is lower than 18 as long as the other person is close to the same age, but other states just have fixed ages of consent. That is 16 in many states.

[–]CosmicPaber 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh okay, well either way this whole thing is still screwed up. Thanks for correcting me. I need to look into things better

[–]key1010 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because the law states that a step parent, teacher, etc (any person of power) can’t do this even if they’re 18. It’s considered statutory still. Or if alcohol or drugs were used at all.

[–]orthopod 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Naw man, at 17 I knew exactly what I was doin'. By then I had already slept with so many women from my age up to 30 something women. Unless the kid is utterly mute and disabled to the point where he couldn't vocally or physically say "NO" than there is no way he didn't welcome the opportunity to bang her brains out. And there isn't a male in here who at 17 wouldn't bang a garden hose if it showed interest. So unless he was physically/mentally unable to communicate, was drugged, or drunk, there really isn't a case for "Rape" here. Just two humans acting on instinct. Which is something people seem to forget all about these days.. It's in our nature, our instincts to breed. For so many thousands of years, up until very recently, it was normal for women to wanna bang the strongest most fertile of men. The young, strong, energetic, and capable males were sought after. And for males, as soon as a female had her first menstrual cycle she was of breeding age and would seek them out instinctively. That's how it was for 98% of our human existence.... Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's ok in any way for a 20-30 something man to bang a 13-year-old girl who just had her first period. I'm just saying modern laws and society go against the natural human instinct, and at 17, the kid in this story knew exactly what he was doing and what he wanted.

So is there gonna be a public trial or anything? I'm really curious to hear how this plays out because honestly, and this isn't like a nice scenario because if she really did rape him then she deserves max penalty.

But honestly this could just be a shitty teenager saying something to fuck up her life. I'd like to hear her side of it. (You know. From court.)

At the moment it's just a kid saying a thing happened vs a teacher saying it didn't happen right? Seems like they would side with the teacher in most instances. Especially because the teacher in this instance is an attractive woman. She has all the cards in her hand as far as I can tell.

Some seriously skewed views here. I lost my virginity as a teenager to an older woman. It gave me lots of memories to think of when I would jerk off but as the years went on, I realized how much the entire situation had really messed with me and my development. This would impact every single relationship I would have with women going forward in some pretty big ways. This is not ok.

[–]sauceybeast 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It’s not really rape when you consent to it though. Also most guys know that they would’ve loved any sexual experience at 17

[–]TheHolyImbaness 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You'd find a very hard time getting that to hold up in court. Law and common consensus clearly states rape. Also I dont know where this whole "male children are nothing but sex crazed demons" come from.

As all historical and modern data suggest, contrary to a weirdly held, very popular belief, 17 year old guys as well as females, dont like to be raped/groomed by people in powerful positions, no matter how much they think they do or others insist they do.

At this point the data is so easily accessible and so logically sound, that if people keep defending this shit. I definitely think it's well within my reasoning to assume they have either done something similar towards someone or at least fantasize about it.

People can say "But they love it!" all they want, but when the data goes so strongly against it, there is nothing behind it other than their own mental illness.

[–]Capable-Opinion9132 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It depends on which state you live in-the legal age of consent in many states is 16….

[–]TheHolyImbaness 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks! Definitely want to be something else rather than follow the crowd. I based my comment on me. Not you or anyone else at that matter. Literally the only thing I really saw wrong was that she was the teacher and at a position of power. At 17 you should be able to have sex with whoever you want. So yea people open your eyes because of my comment. I know I wanted to smash some of my teachers at a young age. I bet many other dudes felt the same at some point. And if you are mad because I called the dude dumb if he snitched on her teacher I stand by it. If he was raped which it doesn't sound like it then why do that? If it was consensual then you just ruined this lady after she gave you some. Again, thank you for your comment even if it means nothing to me. You have the right to say whatever you want as I do.

[–]Gohron 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How old are you now? I’m 35 and have lived nearly 20 years since I lost my virginity as a teenager to an older woman who had groomed me since I was even younger. It took a long time to really see it and realize but this had an enormous impact on my future relationships with women and really messed with my development.

Just because you’re bigger and have a penis doesn’t mean that a man can’t be taken advantage of and used by a woman. A teenage boy having sex with an older woman is going to be a very mixed bag for a person as they go forward in life and will leave scars that may never heal.

[–]Im_The_Daiquiri_Man 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]InkMonkey1991 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I think you’re missing the point dude. Rape is rape, regardless of if you’d enjoy it or not. By the letter of the law having sex with a minor is still statutory rape.

Had a really good friend go to jail because her boyfriend knocked her up and he was 17 while she was 18. She had her baby in prison. Probably enjoyed the sex though, should have used that in their court hearing

[–]Im_The_Daiquiri_Man 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No. You really didn’t.

Even in states with no specific “Romeo and Juliet” law no 18 year old is doing time for banging a person 1 year younger. Especially a woman.

Lol. thathappened.

They are angry because you’re right. So these people not realise that rape means you have to be physically stronger than the victim. You’re telling me that the female teacher was stronger than a 17 year old? Get the fuck outta here

[–]illogicallogical 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

So these people not realise that rape means you have to be physically stronger than the victim.

Oh sure. Not like drugs exist in this world. If you define rape with only strength then you're stupid.

[–]nikdentsh 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Read my earlier comments, the article doesn’t mention any use of drugs. You’d know that if you actually read it instead of reading the comments

[–]illogicallogical -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I was talking about your logic. You claim rape is when the other other party is physically stronger than the victim. That isn't always the case genius.

[–]nikdentsh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Tell me a rape situation where the attacker is weaker

[–]illogicallogical -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Blackmail? There are plenty of instance where people were blackmailed into having sex against their will. You seen men hit with the "if you don't I'll tell people you raped me." A physically stronger victim can still easily become prey to this.

Not to mention, physical strength doesn't men jackshit if you're mentally weak. I saw a skinny kid bully a kid that was stronger than him.

If a man blackmails a woman to have sex with him, that's rape. Same thing if the genders are reversed. Learn the definition of rape because it's not just about physical strength.

Drugs can be used to rape a man, weakening them.

https://m.imgur.com/gcFx9

I could go on but I'm done. If you think rape can only happen if the aggressor is stronger, then you're ignorant. Nothing more.

I’ve said it earlier, it isn’t a drug case because the article doesn’t mention any use of sedatives.

You then bring up blackmail, in case you don’t know, blackmail falls into coercion, unlike real rape, you always have the option of walking out. Mind you, I’m not saying blackmail and coercion is trivial, but words have meanings so let us define the situation with the right words

I’ve said it earlier, it isn’t a drug case because the article doesn’t mention any use of sedatives.

And I never said that's the case. You can't read can you?

You literally said name instance where the victim is weaker than the aggressor and I did and then you go talk about the article which I wasn't even talking about tin the first place.

I'll ask this. If a man blackmails a woman to have sex with him and doesn't physically force her, is that rape or not?

You're turning this into something personal, and not the actual possibilities of the story posted. Sure, her drugging him could be a possibility, but you're reaching on this one.

It's okay to leave your high horse sometimes. Nobody here thinks rape doesn't exist for dudes. Some of us are just more realistic of what that actually means.

[–]illogicallogical 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying she drugged him. This dude is claiming that men can't be raped by women simply because rape is based on strength. Literally, go read their comments.

I'm not on high horse.

Literally look at the comment before my comment.

Here they say that rape only occurs with drugs and strength against men which is wrong again.

How about you actually read what's going on before talking?

The age of consent in PA is 16. It's the teacher/student thing that makes it illegal.

[–]Grammar-Notsee_ 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Not true.

Pennsylvania statutory rape law is violated the de-facto age of consent law in Pennsylvania is actually 18 (due to Pennsylvania's corruption of minors statute). This creates an interesting dynamic, as the laws allow teens aged 17 and 16 to consent to each other, but not to anyone 18 or older.

Out of curiosity. How many dudes here had a teacher fantasy or just simple wanted to be with a teacher while in school?

Everything would have been business as usual if she were a priest. No dick, no kids in the Catholic tradition ........

The school said it would provide the student who came forward with "emotional and academic support"

Said the kid: ”Emotionally I'm good but I like the idea of a few free A's".

Good little catholic girl has sex with good little catholic boy. Good little catholic boy feels guilty due to catholic teachings and reports good little catholic girl to avoid moral accountability. Good little catholic girl goes to hell, so good little catholic boy can feel like his place in heaven is restored.

Fuck em both.

Reminds me of this

The utter fucking state of todays 17 year olds. Moaning about a hot chick fucking them. Whats next on the calender for moaning? Wallet too small for all your 50s? Getting some glare off your diamond cufflinks? Perhaps your internet speed is too fast and you dont get to enjoy the progress bar anymore? JFC.

So this is like the 2nd time I've seen reports like this, and I can't help but wonder, why is it always the attractive teachers that get busted with this? Are we Jon Q Public supposed to believe that attractive teachers are the only ones trying to get with students? Are we really supposed to believe that for every one of these there isn't like 10 cases of old hags trying to hit on students?

Grr! That entitlement smirk!

Edit: why downvote me? She has a smirk on her face, and she knows she’ll do very little or no jail time if at all due to her gender.

You can’t have it both ways ladies. You can’t run amock and not have the same consequences as men and also have no one comment about the fact that the system doesn’t treat both genders equally. I’m not in a relationship with you, you can’t withhold sex from me if I speak my opinion. I have no fear of you. Truth to power!

What is the legal consent age in US?
And why don't teens who engage in sexual acts get into trouble with the law if someone finds out that they have been having sexual intercourse?

[–]Esoteric_Geek 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Washington is 16 but there is also a clause about how if the person is in a position of authority over the minor, then it's not legal. NOTE:IANAL and my understanding of the statute may not be 100% accurate.
