I know that this is a stupid question. I'm 23 (just) but had a pretty sheltered upbringing and very little dating experience. I've had one proper boyfriend, who cheated on me and my dad has been unfaithful to my mum continually for 25 years so I feel I'm hyper vigilant to any indication of unfaithfulness. I know a lot of men, however, who would never cheat, including my older brother and my boyfriend and yet I can't seem to stop myself worrying.

I find it really difficult to trust my boyfriend even though when I stop and think about it, I know he would never cheat. I spend a good portion of my day panicking that my boyfriend will either cheat or leave me for someone else. We spoke about the topic six weeks ago, he doesn't know I'm still struggling.

I've started reminding myself of how much we love each other, and made an album of pictures of my phone to look at, with pictures of us together and screenshots of messages he's sent. This seems to be working at the moment but there hasn't been any situation that would make me jealous (a new female friend / spending time with a girl he's been romantically involved with) in the last few weeks, so I'm not sure if I've actually improved. Do you have anything else I could try?

TLDR: Is there anything I can do to teach myself how to trust someone?
