I’ve tried so many times in my life to work a 40 hour work week, but have failed. Into put in more context I have adhd, and a anxiety disorder which prevents me on work on certain things for a certain time. While I’m a lot better at handle my anxiety, it does become a roadblock to certain things. I’m 28 and my mom advises me to think more about a relationship then a higher wage job. “You can’t come home to a job. A high paying wage won’t kiss or hug you” she says. And while I agree with her, I get doubtful that men will see me of value because of how much I make.

I want to know that I can have confidence knowing that men only see my roadblock as something that can be worked out. That it’s not really a big deal.

Anyone here that can relate to this?
