hi, y'all! i am new to reddit and this sub, although i had been lurking for quite a while.

relationship status: married about 10 years (we've been together for about 15). met my husband at university and he asked me to marry him after we both graduated.

goals: to keep improving myself and my marriage. i call marriage the "easiest most difficult work i've ever done" - it's easy to love my husband, but the nuts and bolts of our marriage take work. this is where the philosophies of this community start coming into play.

interests: writing, books, art, technology, fashion, makeup and beauty, cooking, yoga and meditation, running, pilates, etiquette.

how i found this sub: i found a post about beauty/makeup/hair which had a comment about "manosphere" and "red pill", so i read some blogs to find out what "red pill" meant. i also found this sub as i made my way through my research.

i have always been very feminine and engaged in my relationship differently than my friends and peers which has felt kind of lonely, even though i love them so much. when my single girl friends ask me the secret to my success in life, they do not really like to hear the truth all that much. they say, i wish i could find a man like yours. i agree that while it can be difficult to find a good "captain", it requires the ability to be a good "first mate" (using my RPW terms - though i have not traditionally thought of it in these terms, it just came naturally). i finally felt like i found a home for my interests and lifestyle and i am grateful for a community like this. i spent a good 8 years of my life disconnecting from the young woman that my husband married to become what i thought society wanted me to be, and i ultimately found myself very sick. i have healed by going back to my roots and bringing more of my authentic self out (ultra-feminine, caring, focused, loyal and engaged in my marriage, submitting to my husband). even though being me cuts against the grain of what many women today think a woman "should" be, i believe in choice and balance. i'm happier, my husband is happier, and the world is brighter.

Hello RPW!

Thank you for inviting us to come out of lurker status and make proper introductions. Lovely to see the reactions so far, I look forward to reading more!

I'm 22 and have been in a LTR with my boyfriend for just over a year. We happily live together in England.

My long-term goals are quite in line with what seems to be a trend on here. I would like to be a wife and a mother. Having a house to call my own would also be wonderful, so I can practise DIY-ing and creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere for ourselves and guests.

More generally speaking, I want to get into a position where I can pursue goals that may come up in the future. For example, I can see myself developing a wish to expand my business or to move to a country with sunnier weather :)))

Like /u/lineofsanzu, I also consider myself to be a tad nerdy. The hobby I spend most time on is video gaming, with a focus on multiplayer role-playing games. They provide me with an excellent way to hone my imagination and decision-making skills, as well as writing. Plus, they're simply a load of fun!

Obligatory little list of other hobbies and interest:

Reading. I mostly read fantasy and science fiction, in recent years also non-fiction. My all-time #1 is The Little Prince.
TV-shows. Some favourites include Star Trek, House of Cards, Mad Men, Futurama, and Under the Dome.
Music. I love playing nostalgic or new music in the background when I am on the computer, which is honestly most of the day. I have a rather wide taste in music! Electronic, classical, folk, hard rock...
Drawing. I consider myself an amateur, and do it occasionally for fun. Preferably re-creating an image I love, digitally or with the ol' pencil and paper, rather than designing and drawing something from scratch. When I want to clear my head, I like to do Japanese logic puzzles.

Since recently, I am also actively expanding my feminine skills. Always having left a lot to be desired in the cooking and cleaning departments, I am focusing on these aspects. This sub also inspired me to pick up the weights and calorie counter again for health and beauty benefits. It's paying off already in several areas, thank you for the encouragement!

I would like to extend that into a longer, more elaborate thank-you to all of you. I found the sub during my quest to read actual good relationship advice, and wound up here via TheRedPill. Reading every recent post and all comments on RPW, and going back progressively to catch up on older posts, I have gained tremendous insight into myself and others.

My fellow lurkers and newly-unlurked ones, I would also really recommend having a look at the IRC and hanging out there for a bit! It's there where I've received the most direct and tailored advice. Special thanks to /u/Camille11325, the OP of this post, for being a lovely friend and mentor.

I look forward to getting to know you, RPW!

Hello! Oddly enough I found this subreddit after lurking the red pill subreddit a good friend brought up in conversation. I started lurking here for a little over a year now and made probably one comment in my whole stay haha. I enjoy reading the advice and success of red pill women and although I may not agree with everyrhing I read here, I have a very open mind and enjoy most of the core concepts and goals of this subreddit :)

I admit I've not read all the suggested material as I am a very nerdy girl so I tend to give my nerd hobbies priority over my self improvement a lot of the time but when it comes to my relationships and decisions I make in life I try to keep redpillwomen in mind :) I will try to visit the chat room at some point so I could really get a more real time idea of what you wonderful women are like and to hear more of your advice!

I hope to see and read more wonderful stories and advice from this subreddit and I'll make it my goal to be more involved :)

I have made a few replies on RPW with my main account before now, but it's tied to too many things for me to be comfortable sharing even vaguely personal information. So, an RPW dedicated account it is! I'm looking forward to joining the community and contributing a bit more!

How I found RPW:

A trollish sub mentioned RP, so I wandered over. It was a bit frightening, but curiosity won out. I clicked through a few more links until I wound up here. I was confused because it wasn't the extreme of RP and kind of made sense and was more than a little enticing. After a few days of introspection I realized I had already had one foot into the basics of RPW life unconsciously. Might as well put the other in, too.

My History:

I was abrasive in personality, had mostly male friends, and claimed to not get along with women all through high school and college. There were plenty of fawning orbiters to keep me believing my behavior was good. Breaking up with boyfriends after ~3 months was the norm because I was too afraid of forming a real bond with someone. Lucky for me I still had some traditional values in place despite the bad attitude, so my sexual partner count sits at zero.

Eventually I took a break from dating right around when I started my professional career 4 years ago. This coincided with some big family changes that finally gave me the mental space I needed to realize I had been making things worse for myself all this time. I invested a lot of time in cultivating "me" and building stronger friendships (with women especially) and finally felt like I might be in a good place to start a relationship.

Ultimately found a man (or rather, he found me), spent a year building a healthy friendship with him, and now we're officially an item. I didn't find this sub until half way through our friendship. It clicked with me, though, because I had been really taken off guard with my intense desire for him to be happy. Dating before this was a game of "how mean can I be". Now it's all about being the kind of person that people really want to spend time with.

My man is not very RP, but it's obvious that he is continuously surprised by and highly values the way I think of and treat him and it inspires him to be thoughtful and caring in turn. That's more than I could ask for. He also really likes it when I take his advice, even if it's just a suggestion to take a different driving route. Unless it's putting us in danger, my response is usually "Okay, I trust you, let's have an adventure!" and then we do.

What I Particularly Like about RPW:

That you try to identify and own the mistakes you've made, avoid placing the blame on other people unnecessarily, and work constantly to improve yourselves. I also like that a lot of the self improvement is done specifically to enhance feminine traits, many of them having been lost in our current culture.

Goals and Interests:

I struggle with planned cooking and I'm just learning how to budget effectively. I have lost almost 25lbs since December and it helps motivate me to be better in other areas. I play the piano, knit, read, and dote on my cats. One of my personal projects is applying some minimalist/simple living basics to my life. Nothing in the extreme, but keeping a welcoming home is easier done when there isn't an abundance of useless clutter!

Hello :) I've been lurking for a long time, maybe over a year now, but I've not posted as of yet and I would like to start contributing more now that I am internalising RPW concepts more!

My goals are to keep improving my appearance and fitness, learn to cook, and to improve my mindset and behaviours so that I am more in tune with my femininity, and of course I would like to find a good captain and be in an LTR heading towards marriage. I'm quite young though and haven't had a relationship before so I'm still taking baby steps!

My interests are dancing, weight lifting and I'm currently getting into baking. Not a huge amount of interests at the moment but I would like to add more :)

I don't quite remember how I found this subreddit, I think I may have stumbled upon it through TRP but I have been lurking other female oriented self improvement sites such as rulesrevisited and Hooking Up Smart for a while now. When I found this sub I was very happy and almost relieved to find the advice I had been looking for for a while. I haven't had the best role models or examples of model relationships growing up and as a result had learned to suppress my femininity and become more masculinised. I had been searching for a something to guide me towards my goals of a good stable LTR/marriage but a lot of the mainstream advice just didn't sit right with me and I had no clue how to go about getting it. I'm still learning to undo my feministic influences and negative behaviours but I am trying to whole-heartedly embrace the message of RPW. I have to say I am very glad I did find this sub so early in my twenties or I may have been pretty lost trying to navigate relationships without any sort of guidance. The ladies on here are great though and I am grateful that they say it like it is without sugarcoating. Very refreshing!

Hello ladies! Thanks Camille for posting this thread, I've been lurking for years but have never commented. Today's the day!

Relationship status: Single. I'm 22 and have been in two LTR's. Right now I'm not actively looking for a partner, my heart is a little tender. I want to make sure I can be the best RPW to an amazing man when that time comes along. So I'll be working on me for a few months.

Goals: to have a successful marriage filled with love, respect, admiration and joy. I hope to one day be a mother as well, I adore children. Another long term goal is to be the Australian President of the all womens volunteer organisation that I'm a member of. To be able to sew and run a marathon.

Interests: Skiing, keeping up my German and Swiss German, my darling Chihuahua, reading RPW on the daily, hair and makeup, cooking, Filofaxes and journaling. I get so much satisfaction out of volunteer work, I'm the treasurer for my ladies club and the secretary of my Rotaract Club.

How I found RPW: Via TRP. I grew up with very traditional values and my parents have a traditional marriage as well so TRP and RPW makes so much sense! I feel like I can finally put a label on concepts I already knew that existed. I love the feeling of knowing I belong here.

Sorry I'm so late to the thread, just checked in on RPW and thought this would be the perfect place to say hi :-) I'm new here, I have been reading and soaking in every thread for the last month. I really love the principles of the RPW lifestyle so I am really excited to have found you ladies.

My relationship status is married. I have been with my man since we were 18 (we're 28 and 29 now). We have 2 beautiful daughters together plus a dog and two cats. We haven't had the easiest run as a couple and I definitely was an angry feminist (born and raised) until a couple of years ago, which was not great for our relationship. I always felt as though I was entitled to everything he had to offer without giving much of myself in return. Finally after going through some really rough times in our relationship I have been able to relinquish control and really appreciate what my husband does for me and our family. Since finding this thread I have truly begun to understand what it is that he needs as a man, which clearly I had no idea of before. I have completely overhauled the way I interact with him and the way I approach my role in the family and it has worked wonders. Its amazing how well your advice has worked and I have had multiple compliments on my efforts, which is a bonus.

My goals are to continue to put my husband and family first rather than always thinking about what is best for me, I'm just about to finish my psychology degree and I cannot wait to take time off after to focus on my husband and girls. In addition I would like to lose weight and get back to looking how I did when my husband met me, I've definitely let myself go which is very unfair on my husband, who looks good and owns a successful business.

My interests are family, crafty stuff (I love decorating my organiser and scrapbooking), my pets, makeup and beauty, psychology, reading and writing, watching reality tv junk (guilty pleasure) and crime docos.

I found RPW after reading about RP men and googling it to see what it meant.

Hey everyone! I've been lurking on my main account for a while, but decided to start participating on my alt.

I met my husband when we were freshmen in High School. He was 14 (five months younger than me) when he asked me to the movies-- his parents had to drive us. We just started dating and kind of never stopped. He proposed on our HS graduation and we got married in 2009 during our first year of college together. We've been married almost six years now! I count myself extremely lucky. We're the perfect fit for each other, and since we were so young when we started dating, we've never had to deal with the 'game' or any drama. Something I think really helped us discover who we were, both individually and as a team, was that we waited until we were engaged to have sexual intercourse. Of course we explored each other in other ways, but we saved that special part until we were ready. This let us become friends on a very deep level.

My goals are to let my husband lead even more than he already does (and he does beautifully!), to try and be more feminine, and to stop worrying/hamstering about the small stuff. I feel like my husband and I have a pretty well-established and well-working balance in terms of our duties and expectations of each other, but I would love to step up and take care of even more so he can be more free to 'do him'. Also suggest-telling it something I have to work on.

Personally, I love cooking (we both do!), arts and crafts, reading, writing, dancing, and doing makeup.

I found this sub through stumbling across The Red Pill, which I found to be a little alarming with its content at first. But that's a different space than this one, with different goals, and I understand that now.

I would have never considered how I live to be particularly RP-ish, but growing up and seeing friends deal with their relationships, I guess I am. I just am very proud of my husband and love to build him up. There's just something deep within me that feels so accomplished and happy when my husband reacts positively to me preforming "wifely duties". I love taking care of him, not in a mother kind of way, but in a way that lets our relationship thrive.

Hi ladies! I've been lurking for a few months and just recently (as in today!) created a new profile specifically for RPW.

Relationship status: taken! We have been dating for almost 2 years and living with one another for a year. We were in an international LDR until I moved to his country for graduate school. We have a five year age difference (he's older).

Goals: I feel like everything you ladies stand for I need work on! I want to work on my attitude (stop complaining), my health/beauty routine, my sense of style, my weight (gained some comfort pounds and I am not thrilled), and learning to surrender and let him lead. I have noticed I try to keep "topping from the bottom" and I want to be able to back up and give him room to become the leader I know he can be.

Interests: music, crafting, and starting to get into yoga and running

How I found you guys: I think I was searching for more clothing advice rather than female fashion advice. I found a post, and ended up getting sucked in. I'm still struggling with actually swallowing the red pill (lots of bad behaviours/thoughts/habits that I need to de-programme myself from), but I like to think I am willing to learn and change!

Hi! I was hoping to see something like this as I felt somewhat awkward jumping into other threads without an introduction.

I will start by saying I learned of this subreddit after finding TRP subreddit. At first I didn't think I identified with "red pill women" at all because I assumed the term referred to women supporting the oft-touted goals in TRP, or rather, I thought "red pill women" were plates. I wonder if that's a common misconception? After reading this sub I was happy to learn how wrong I had been! Finally, a place I feel like the world makes sense!

My husband is an anti-feminist content creator which is how I was introduced to third wave feminism, the red pill, mgtow, and so on. It fascinates me. I suppose because I met my husband at a young age and we married after six years of dating exclusively I was sheltered from modern dating and whatnot. We just had our one year anniversary on Aug 1 and I'm so grateful to have found someone to share my life with without wading through the trials and tribulations I've recently read so much about.

My husband and I have also recently become parents! I'm a new mother to a delightful baby girl and although it's been an adjustment, she's the light of our lives. At nine months we've learned how to function as a unit while still maintaining a strong husband-wife relationship. My goals are centered around these two people--I strive to be the best wife and mother I can be. I want to be a positive role model for my daughter because I didn't have that (I had great women in my life, but my mother was absent). It feels good to be able to admit that here without fear of having to defend my choice.

I love reading and learning. I'm currently reading "The Blank Slate" by Steven Pinker. Writing is a favorite pastime as well, but my works are less academic and much more racy. I'm an amateur chocolatier, aspiring masseuse, and learning to paint with watercolors, albeit very slowly now that my daughter is crawling. I like yoga and hope to start lifting again soon.

I've already learned so much going through older threads and I'm so happy to have found this community. I look forward to participating and getting to know you all.

Hello! I've been lurking for several months now. I found the sub after looking through TRP and googling to see if there was an equivalent for women.

I'm 22 and heading for graduation after this fall semester. So graduating is a big goal right now. I've been exclusive with my boyfriend for almost 1.5 years now. We've discussed moving in together some time in the future (this would be tantamount to engagement for us) and marriage as a long term goal. We're both potentially interested in kids someday, too. Making his life easier and more enjoyable is a huge goal, along with generally working on my part in the relationship. A very immediate part of that is focusing on nutrition and starting to get in shape (used to be a swimmer but hadn't exercised for years).

I used to be pretty typical tumblr feminist, which caused a lot of friction early on in our relationship, but he could see that I wasn't living my life the way that a "feminist" would. I knew some things needed to change and have worked hard on unlearning the feminist dogma. Discovering RPW has been really helpful in that and a refreshingly positive look on femininity.

Interests include: art/animation (my major), writing, reading, video games, TV/film, cooking, coffee & cats

Really glad to have found such a positive and insightful group of ladies!

Hello all! I've posted a number of times here asking for advice. I'm 26 (27 in 8 days! woo!), unofficially engaged to my man of only 10 months. He has the ring and is waiting to make it special. It's fast, but I've done A LOT of dating and he's it.

I just wanted to share how I found this sub, since it amuses me to this day. I used to be a bit of a player--I was never a plate. I actually was researching The Game B.S. to hone my own skills and be better at reading interactions between men and women. I wanted to manipulate the manipulators. I wanted to be in control. Dating was mostly something I did for my own ego. I thought I was the shit.

I was so lonely.

I found TRP. I binge-read everything. I talked it over with friends. I realized I was such so feminist and independent because I had no choice..no decent man would come within 10 feet of me. One of my best girlfriends was getting married, and I dated over 20 guys during the 8 months she was engaged, before finally going to the wedding with a friend of mine. I had had enough of needing to be the strong one. I wanted to find a partner.

When I met my man, I knew instantly that he was someone I could respect for the long haul. He was the only man who didn't go out of his way to impress me, and bingo, that impressed me. On our first date we were driving somewhere and he turned left instead of going the "right way", so I asked, "um, where are you taking me?" His response was perfect: "Girlie, you're with ME now." That was it. He instinctively took charge, and I could instantly trust that I was with a confident, capable man.

Fast forward a couple of months, and we were talking about moving in together. Then we did! It was super rough, and I was questioning everything. I went back to TRP, and through a link found this wonderful place of wisdom. I'm still learning and internalizing the message, but this sub saved my relationship. I didn't mean to start fights and feel upset all of the time, but I thought I couldn't help myself. I was stressed and retreating into my feminist self-centered mentality. I could see the love less and less in his eyes.

So I sucked it up, did a lot of self-reflection with the help of the posters here, and accepted my own role in the relationship. It was so hard to admit that what I was doing wasn't working because it was inherently flawed. No amount of talking it out will save a relationship. My Man is not interested in that. Moreso, I love him because he isn't that way. I love him for being a man. I don't need to be a man too.

I feel like I'm learning femininity for the first time. It's refreshing to step back and let him take care of things. I was in control for so long, that all I knew to do was control others and I am only now seeing that I have very little control over myself! I am a grown-ass woman who throws temper tantrums when I don't get pizza for dinner! (True talk, happened last Thursday night. You bet your ass I was groveling the next day. It's embarassing. I'm lucky he's so patient.)

So my goal is to get control of my own thought process and emotions. I also want to finish my AA, get married and have some kids with him. I hope I get to have a little boy who is exactly like his father. Then I'll know I did my part to leave the world a better place.

Wow that got long! Anyways, I'm a newb, I'm working on humility, and I'm so grateful that this place exists. Happy Friday!

Hi RPW! Thank you so much for existing and being a wonderful resource full of beautiful souls. I have been introduced to the RPW through a friend, as well as through women who aren't even aware they are RPW- this is just their nature and what works for their relationships. A friend who introduced me to Reddit, also spoke to me of the Red Pill. I am a recently turned 25 (Cancer with a Leo rising) who has been on a complete quest of experimental and self-discovery, especially throughout my 20s, my awareness growing daily. I have always been interested in self-improvement (I think it's an ongoing journey!) as well as living big/living the dream! I have been in several relationships, 2 with high-quality RP style men but have realized it was ME who drove them away, with my wandering and exploration of the planet. As a friend says, '[I] am always going somewhere'. Well now it's time for me to settle and flourish a relationship and give my huge, romantic heart away.

As for hobbies, interests and other tidbits: -I am an avid traveler. Always have been, always will be. I started female solo backpacking at age 18. I am now ready to settle after being a self proclaimed nomad gypsy for years. I love to explore cultures, scenery and learn about people's way of living. I can travel very frugally to resort style (or sailing), but my preference is WWOOFing. -I am an agriculture management graduate and hope to have my own farm and luscious garden one day. -I love animals(horses in particular) I have a special spot in my heart for all things furry with 4 legs. I spend a lot of time with my Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he is a wonderful companion. -I am into the arts. My specific niche would be writing but I do like to play around with it all. Dance, photography, photoshop, webdesign, painting, illustration, books, DIYs, pyschology. I do at least one creative outlet a day. -I have always loved a huge scale of music ranging from classic rock to country to rap. I've played the flute, but an instrument I've always been fascinated with and done some playing around with are drums. -I love fitness and just moving my body. There isn't a form of exercise I don't enjoy doing, although my favourites are horseback riding, weight lifting and kickboxing. -Lastly, I love people. Meeting people and hearing their stories. Sonder. Curious. My long term goals are a career I love (this may be staying at home on the farm) and living with a man I love, our animals, and perhaps children. Being the best woman I can be- to him, to my family and to my community. Thanks again ladies for being apart of the journey!

I was going through a really rough breakup (LDR) while I was posted in Victoria... Or maybe I was just super misunderstood, the guy was only intending to be friends with me the whole time. I think I was hit with the wrecking ball of reality.

So I was scouring the internet trying to understand guys and all. Found out about the red pill from some blogger (I forgot his name, welp), but I found out about The Rules Revisited, Blackdragon, etc. through him. Eventually I stumbled onto this subreddit and the TRP! It's been a very enlightening experience for me!

So from then I told myself I'd make a good change for myself and be super happy. I'll have to put 100% into whatever I am doing. And I know that whatever I'm doing is completely on me and I will take the full consequences of my own actions.

I am still a heavy lurker on reddit by choice though. I usually don't like saying things unless I feel like it. :x

I am fairly new to reddit and this sub reddit (first comment ever!), however I have been lurking around this sub reddit for a while.

Relationship status: single, had a few quick dates/ relationships here and there (nothing that lasted more than 2 months)

Goals: finish my Master's and settle down. I am over wight so I'd like to lose some, find Mr. right, and find a nice job with my degree.

Interests: video games, reading manga, movies, walking to places, enjoying quality quiet time with a small group of friends, and playing music.

How I found this sub reddit: one guy who I used to talk to introduced me to Return of Kings website where I found a reference to this sub reddit on there and got hooked.

I'm newish here, so here is my introduction :) I'm in my late thirties, and I've been married for over twelve years. I've always been a little more traditional when it comes to gender roles, in part because my mom's side of the family comes from an immigrant culture that honored them even in the 1950s and 1960s. Over the years, I have become a lot more red pill-ish... not so much due to any philosophical theorizing but more because it's what works for me and my marriage.

I have known about red pill for quite some time, but I always thought it was for men. I had no idea this subreddit existed, but I found it when I was Googling Laura Doyle, and I knew I had found my place.

My biggest relationship goal right now is transitioning from having a career to being a full time stay at home wife. My husband prefers that I don't work at this point in our marriage, and while I agree, I do think I feel a lot of social pressure to do more than "just" be a stay at home wife. I'm growing more comfortable with it, and I love taking care of my husband and little home.

I like to say that I'm a generalist, so I have a lot of interests. I live in the middle of a fairly big city, and I'm working on a lot of fun projects growing food on our small plot of land. I like knitting, learning languages (more human than programming, though I can code too), indie film, cooking, reading, yoga, and taking long walks.

If you've read this far, thanks! I really enjoy this subreddit so much so far. It has been a real bright point every day to hang out here.

I work for myself and am a business mentor for young people as an extra.

My goals are to get a new, beautiful place, have a kid and focus on being a wife and mother. Work can take a break for now!

I am a woman of many hobbies - I read, cook, sew, journal and I love nature and am super nerdy about photography (I maybe take it a little too seriously.) I also love my pets and am planning an amazing honeymoon.

I discovered WRP from a guy on tumblr who posted about TRP. I was 'up to here' with the self victimisation I see on most female forums and wanted to chat with some strong and interesting women. I am very happy to be here :)

So this past year I have been on a journey of self-improvement. Not just with RPW principles (well at least they weren't because of RPW to begin with). I worked on my appearance, my social skills, my health and then finally I decided I wanted to find a relationship that was healthy and thriving. I don't know how I found The Surrendered Single and I think it was the word "controversial" in the description of the book that brought me to it. I figured "why not?". So I read it. Having been an avid redditor, I searched if there had been a review or discussion about it and it led me here. I'd known about TRP and was scared of it. I had a very negative view of it because I had swallowed the blue pill. I was very entitled. VERY. However, after having read TSS, RPW reallllly struck a chord with me. So I read. Everything I could, I devoured. Then I kept lurking and just recently was able to muster up enough courage to comment. So here I am. Former blue piller who has lived her life in such a bad way that I believe it was inevitable that I end up old and alone.

edit: actually now that I think about it, it has been more than a year. Almost two. Wow. Go me!

hello, RPW. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found this subreddit.

relationship status: single; was in an open relationship for 8 months, he cheated, we stayed together briefly before he graduated college, we have since slept together a few times. more on this later.

goals: become a better person. I grew up buying into the fairytale life that disney and chicklit books promise, making excuses for myself, lying to get attention, and I'm done. It's caused me nothing but anxiety, and in the case of my last relationship, I lost the respect of someone I was very close to. I want to be more responsible. I want to focus on improving my life. Self sufficiency is the ultimate goal, and after I've reached that, I will consider dating again.

interests: reading (mostly fiction, one of my issues I think), being outside, hiking, biking, music, writing. I studied Biology at undergrad, working primarily in an Entomology lab. The major project was pollination ecology, so I worked with bees and other pollinators, in fruit fields (blueberries, cranberries, that kind of thing).

I found this subreddit after TRP was referenced in an /r/relationships thread, by a guy who'd been cheated on by his LTR girlfriend. Curious, I went through that sub. I kept thinking, wow, I wonder if these guys would mind helping me out? By helping out, I mean discussing and supporting each other with a common view of what a good person is. And that led me to RPW.

Hi there! I've been lurking for a few months now. I'm not exactly sure how I stumbled upon this subreddit. I'm a 27 year old stay at home wife and mother. I've been married 5 years and have 2 children. I've always detested modern feminism and the way men are regarded so poorly in our culture. I've slowly opened my eyes to the truth. Interests include, reading, writing, history, art, coffee, interior design, fashion, theology, helping other women, homeschooling. Long term goals, grow in my character, help my husband better, continue to teach and train our kids, get plugged in to local community (church). The past two years have been extremely eye opening. I've learned to serve more, humble myself, and accept my husband just the way he is. It's been hard, but so wonderful. I'm excited to learn from the other RPW.

I lurk here. I just moved from the us to australia so I have 0 friends and I might as well talk here lol.

I want to go to culinary school so I can be a better cook just for my boyfriend. That and it's kinda fun too lol. It makes me feel kinda bad when be gets up for a snack or some noodles because I hadn't cooked yet. Makes me feel like I failed him so hopefuly one day ill be able to afford culinart school. I'm not ambitious, I just have 3 hobbies. I'd really prefer if I could just stay home amd be a mother. College is not for me!

I think the sub has slightly helped. Although I do feel like nagging my so to fix the bed so I can cook on time, I don't. Just gotta remember that I stay home and he studies and pays for everything. It wouldn't hurt to fix the bed anyway :P

Long term lurker here

Relationship status: 5 year LTR.

Goals: Having just finished my MSc, to get onto a PhD or get a job to allow for us to move out of where we are now and get a house and the dogs we have been planning to get for several years now.

Interests: MMOs (Games like World of Warcraft etc), Documentaries (We watch at least 2 hours of documentaries a day), learning to cook (Still not got bread mastered, my capn says it is because I do not smack the dough enough when kneading it, but that it tastes really good anyway....apart from when I was learning to use fresh yeast and accidentally left a lump of it in the scones...even worse, it ended up in his scone! I was mortified, fortunately he took it very well, and was laughing at it)

How I found the sub-reddit: Like others here, found it through TRP.

I have held off on posting here for ages because, whilst I agree with, and try to follow many of the RPW ideals, I have felt that because I am not very feminine in the way I dress, I would not be welcomed in here, also because my relationship is not quite RPW ideal.

Holla!

I'm new to reddit. I've been lurking on here and other TRP related subs (they are the only things i use reddit for) since about February-March.

For a bit of background about myself, I'm 22yo, I was born and brought up in Eastern Europe, but moved to the UK nearly 10 years ago. As the country I'm from had not reached the 3rd wave feminism when I still lived there, I never experienced it from childhood. I was brought up around a basis of 2nd wave feminism and with A LOT of core RP values (as contradictory as this may seem, I basically am for equal opportunities for both sexes, but believe there are biological differences between men and women). I studied arts, so most of my friends are very liberal and feminist, which i am ok with - they still make for great friends, i just turn somewhere else for relationship advice.

I've been in a LTR with a 23yo for the past 6 or so months, but have known and been casually seeing this guy for a year before that. We met at university (although he is studying something completely different than me) and I have since graduated, but stayed in the same city as I have a job here. He still has this year until he graduates. He has followed TRP since 2013 and i would say we have a pretty rp relationship. We don't live together.

As for goals, I want to work towards a masters degree at some point that is more specialised than my bachelors, however currently I am focusing on finding a better paid job to save some money, while doing some work for free in the field that interests me (very hard to find paid work for what i want to do here).

I'm interested in pretty much anything, I love reading about anything and everything and I'm always looking to expand my knowledge. I love both fiction and non-fiction. I also love fitness, I go to the gym 4-6 times a week, and go bouldering whenever I can. I also do pole dancing (or pole fitness as it is more often referred to). I was a pole instructor at the university society for 2 years, and have been doing it for 3. I'm also really into cooking and baking, as is my boyfriend, we are both currently trying a new recipe a week that we think is out of our comfort zone! Obviously I am also into art, and I try to take my boyfriend to one opening a month, while i go to about one a week. Make up and beauty too, and fashion. I also take a lot of interest into my boyfriends interests, which are more on the scientific side.

I found this sub through TRP (I've been lurking on TRP since almost a year ago), which I discovered through my boyfriend. We often discuss specific posts, especially theory, and how they do or do not relate to our relationship. We don't necessarily agree with 100% of everything that is posted, but it always gets us thinking. I know it has definitely helped me understand a lot of things about myself and how I view relationships, but also how our specific relationship dynamic works.

I finally made the plunge to make an account, as I feel that after all this time taken reading posts and comments here and on TRP i have a decent enough grasp on it that I can finally contribute to at least some of the conversation. :)
