To go one further with your points against reproducing, I personally don't want to reproduce for all of the above, PLUS: I have an auto-immune disease that I'll pass on genetically, that condemns my children to a fucking painful life that I know all too well is a bastard of a deal.

While you seem to be against the idea because it's against you (I don't disagree fundamentally), I personally don't want to reproduce because A) it put me at a disadvantage; B) it puts my children at a disadvantage; C) it puts the entire genetic pool at a disadvantage.

Look kiddo, I get what you are saying. But the solution is not to hate on the society we got, but rather take the route you like.

For example, instead of taking a great risk and creating something, you use your energy and passion on becoming strong, having a nice paying job, but nothing extreme (become a doctor or something and have a easy life). Live a balanced life and suck out as much as you can from goverment indirectly. You know with 85% of future doctors being women, you can make a heavy living as a male doctor (all that downtime and childbirth).

I feel you are being a bit one-sided. Yes, there are many disadvantages to having a kid. Many risks and responsibilities. And certainly we must be careful in a society that is so unfair to fathers in divorce. But you are not stating any of the benefits of having a child. It can be a very rewarding experience to raise your own child. preparing them for society. teaching them skills like how to build things. going hiking. thinking critically. reading great adventure stories. helping them when they fail. celebrating their achievements. yes, it's a lot of work, and there's plenty of difficulties along the way, but there's also an overwhelming sense of achievement and love from the experience. That said, with so much on the line there is also a lot to lose. It's a high risk high reward. And takes an advanced level of understanding in society to be successful at. So men should be careful to plan carefully when and how to have kids (whether that means to use a surrogate mother, or perhaps find a woman who is of good values and who you don't mind spending many years with). For me having kids is a natural next step in your life as you get older. Even from a totally selfish standpoint it makes sense because it is personally rewarding. Maybe it is not for everyone, but let's be realistic on the benefits it can give.

I'm getting married and I plan on having children. This is my choice that I'm going into it with my eyes open to the various pros and cons.

The main reason is that I want to raise and mentor a child to be the best that they can be and I think that for me this will be best done in a married relationship.

However, it's still a onesided deal. You won't get custody, you WILL have to pay child support, and if she mutters the words "I felt afraid" everything will go against you.

I think it's foolish for a man to invest in civilization when it offers him no incentive. It is NOT a man's duty to spend his life upholding a system that stopped giving a fuck about him a long time ago.

I have always subscribed to the idea of "They aren't your kids unless they are biologically yours AND I you are raising them." This raises two risks for any potential fathers:

Cuckoldry. It happens to so many men and I'm sure the number is increasing. I would definitely do a DNA test on any children that are born in a marriage or LTR. If you have been cucked, throw the cheating bitch and her bastard child into the gutter where they belong.
Divorce and loss of custody. Even if the kid is mine, I am not paying for them unless I get to raise them anymore than I would pay for a kid that came out of a sperm donation. Even if that means I have to move or live off the grid or whatever I will not pay a dime in child support to some kid who will just likely end up being a degenerate who hates me because they were raised by a single mother.
