I think something that needs to be communicated on this sub more is that we talk about self-improvement to get into the top 20% of men... but DOESN'T TAKE A LOT.

The median for men is extremely low. The 70th percentile is much closer to the 30th percentile than to the 80th, if that makes sense.

I spent 3 months working out, got some shirts from H & M, and just started asking for girls number and it was like night and day.

You quickly realize that 80% of dudes are just chumps.

In the UK, 25% of people are obese. 66% are obese or overweight. Thus not being fat automatically makes you above average. And that's before you even hit the gym...

Took some time to read. I think none of us like average in our lives. Although average is basically our social norm today. Taught to us by our parents, teachers, media and feminist brainwashed governemnts. We all are egomaniacs and spoiled for that matter. Average women will always want hot men. Average men will always want hot women. And it's ok as long as you accept the fact. The ones that are praised and put on the pedestals by many couldn't exist without average. The difference is that we, men, usually have lower standards. It's easy to attract us. Like one of my beloved stand up comedians (Louis CK) said: women fuck up, men fuck down. So the average women can happily stay average and don't do shit about it and still get lots of attention as long as they know how to manipulate men. When men can never afford such a comodity. It's painful. It's hard to admit. But guess what? LIFE AIN'T FAIR. The sooner you accept this truth the sooner your inner peace will come. The sooner the red pill will bring you back to the real world. Good news is, that by accepting the problem you're already one huge step closer to getting cured from the corrupt thiking. Like Einstein said: the same way of thinking won't solve the problem that such thinking created (my own paraprhase). So change like the OP encouraged you to do. Slowly but steadily build confidence. I lived 27 years in believing my mom, my female friends and the world around me that you have to be yourself. FUCK NO. The only time you get to be yourself is after cumming on some teens face and feeling good about yourself. Take it away ladies and gentlemen! Great inspirational / problem solving post.

One more thing: women don't invest so much in themselves as successful men do. Take great pride in that. Know that sacrifice is what makes you a great man.

I've personally found Law 38 to really help with ambition/killer instinct in my work environment. I work in an environment that is skewed towards female mindset. There is a lot of complaining, "I'm too busy," etc. But all of our people report directly to men. So I've kind of learned to act diplomatic about things, even when it's tough to do so. I had a woman about a month ago tell me I was only getting promotions because I was male. Even though I was annoyed, I played it cool and smiled and said, "OH, that's how it is?"

The reality is I've excelled in my career because I get shit done, don't whine at every turn, don't miss a day of work per week, and don't come in to work dressed like I'm going to a fucking Kid Rock concert, even though no one would really care if I did.

I would also add that it is super important to buy clothes that fit and accentuate your good features aesthetically. You wouldn't believe the increase in looks you get if you're in decent shape and are wearing form fitting shirts.

Speaking of style, I think the reason why most guys just wear generic shirts and jeans is because it's just so much safer. What some people consider well dressed, others consider pansy-ish or gay. What some people think is currently in fashion is just a retarded trend to someone else. You have to spend a hell of a lot more and put a hell of a lot more effort into dressing stylishly, only to put yourself at risk of looking stupid.

Lots of good material, but I am struck by how some of your advice while 100% accurate for 80% of the globe...here in the American South, there are large gaps in some of the suggestions.

The current top predator in the mating game here are chubby, neckbeard, doofuses whom buy their clothes and lawn equipment at the same hardware store.....in fact, being a conformist yokel with a pickup truck whom idea of quality conversations are fart jokes and whom idea of interesting adventure is "huntin" bambi from a tree stand while throwing back vienna sausages.

Anyone browsing this sub ought to be familiar with the 80:20 paradigm. To have any chance one cannot float around at 50%. Even the top 30% is not good enough. You must aim for the top 20% of men, how you get there is entirely up for you but this is the number where life gets remarkably easier.

My entire personal life would be the anti-thesis to this, I´m like above average everything and let me tell you, that doesn´t excite anybody I´ve ever met.

I´m 6´1, so I´m not tall and and I´m not short, but I tend to be on the taller end of the room. To girls, I act as a comparison to that tall dark guy, no chick ever fucked me cause I was tall in her eyes.
I got good grades and can converse on most any topic with experts in their field, I speak 4 languages. But theres allways some guys who are way smarter (they tend to be unattractive and asocial though) than me.
I used to play sports at a high level, but only in the farm-system and not full on pro. Girls dont get wet for the guy who is a regular on the b squad, eventhough at that point its mostly genetics and coaches opinion sepparating you.
I got a 18cm dick, I´ve never had a problem with it and some girls have remarked that it´s been better than what they´ve had. But again, it doesnt get me that rumor or fame where girls gossip "omg i slept with him he has that 22cm coke can monster".
I make decent bank and save more than the average guy (fuck me, most idiots even in the office dont save a nickel), but I´m not a millionaire. Even if I had the money, I wouldnt get a gaudy car, but you get the point that girls wouldn´t see my in that "oh he is soooo successfull" way.
I have nice clothes and accessories, I can wear a tie on a casual occasion without looking like a nerd kinda thing. But again, Chad comes in with a leather jacket and ripped jeans and I´m standing there as a step up from Mr. Cargo Pants who himself is a step up from Mr functional backpack.
I´m a 7 out 10 everything, in looks as well. I have decent muscles, decent tone, decent face. I don´t walk across the room and get stares, I get the quick glance like "oh he is cute, he´d totally fit well with my friend Fiona the Five".

I hate how unexceptional I am. The only things about myself that stand out emerge only on deeper knowledge, and they get 0 umpfh. "Oh you speak colloquial chinese? Thats interesting...I guess. Wait theres Chad, who doesn´t even speak 1 language properly, but the way he says Suck it whore really turns me on". I can argue about the postulates of Euclid, talk about the origins of political Islam and I could whip a kayaking trip around the entire Northen European archipelago without store bought food or shelter, I could also take you to the gym and bench 1.2x bodyweight and my last contract made 300k profit off of the project I created for them and now has VC´s sucking his dick for equity. Yeah no, I´ll the take the surprise fisting Chad, the stab-wound scar on his hand feels so great against my vaginal walls.

Inb4 "bitter", this wasn´t written in affect, just my 2cents about being above average.
Edit: To clarify again, not a sympathy post, just chiming in with my 28 year anecdote on the theory of OP.
