I could have written this story almost exactly the same, right down to the 17 years of marriage.

My wife never had to work or want for anything when married to me and the first guy she fucked two weeks after telling me it was over was a guy on probation who worked at a second hand store.

Nothing matters when the tingles take over.

[–]morguejuice18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

right there with ya, that article almost verbatim what happened to me, thankless as fuck.

[–]DexterousRichard[🍰] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Wow. I try but I don't think I will ever stop being surprised at stuff like this.

The good news is that if you have proof of infidelity then you cant get fleeced, and believe me when i say that no matter how nice everyone is in the beginning, even though the cause is their own, they will feel a sense of need that they have t fill and will do it by trying to 'take what is rightfully theirs'

[–]Endorsed Contributorseattleron0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. You'd think we'd be desensitized to this shit, but it always hits me in the gut.

I think we can learn something from this, though. The guy said his job lead him to be a problem solver with logical, rational thinking. But he finally conceded that it was an emotional argument/rationalization on her part.

It's so hard to not think logically when you're programmed to do that, and especially when thinking that way leads to so many great decisions. With women, we must abandon that rational thinking and think with emotions. I still do not understand it fully, I doubt I ever will, but I do understand it better and know the protocol for a lot of situations.

He's right. Bullocks. Big. Hairy. Bastard. Baboon sized bullocks!

[–]raven2000 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Jesus... I just bought his book off Amazon. $5 for the Kindle edition.

To say that this is exactly my story is a huge understatement. It's EXACTLY my story. Wow. The only difference is I have three kids, and he has two.

I've heard slight variations of this story from about 1,000 other guys online, but this one is pretty much exactly me. Scary. People are robots. Meat robots. You push their buttons in a certain order and they all spit out the same programmed response. It just seems so blunt and obvious with married women.

[–]nataliieportman1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's scary to think about. It makes sense though, especially when comparing us humans to various animals.

[–]holyshyeet 47 points47 points47 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

For me this quote really hit hard

"We're a good team," she admitted. "You do look after me, but you don't make me feel special."

The guy does everything and more and yet there is this intangible "make me feel special" quality that she never tells him about and then goes sleeps with another man and ends 17 years of marriage and a family.

Fucking brutal. I hope she got her due.

[–]1 Endorsed Contributormordanus42 points43 points44 points 12 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

That right there is the exact reason that that Good Men are a disappearing thing. Women are poaching them into extinction.

[–]Clauderoughly39 points40 points41 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

women are rewarding the opposite behavior

[–]rpkarma12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men, hell, people... We do what we are incentivised to. What are the incentives now? To inspire tingles. Not commit. Not build families, because they can be ripped apart in an instant with no downsides to the person who choses to do so, in fact there are cash and prizes to be won!

This will be--no, is-- the cause of our downfall. The first world relies on men like the author of this article. The world doesn't need me, I was a heroin addict drug dealer, and yet I was rewarded richly for it with affection, sex and adoration.

I've chosen to become a Man that the world needs, but I'm under no illusions that it will inspire lust in women. It feels like I'm trying to stop and inferno with a garden hose, but I'll do it anyway. That's what the Red Pill really gives you: a chance to ignore what's really incentivised, and achieve success in all parts of your life. That's powerful.

[–]merkmerk737 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fucking brutal. I hope she got her due.

They always do. It's a classic grass is greener syndrome.

Everything is all exciting and new but when it settles down into a typical relationship they'll fight and argue and it will boil down to the same 'boring not special' relationship that she had in her marriage.

[–]Scoundrel_14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

"You don't make me feel special" is a euphemism for "You don't rock my world sexually."

The other guy makes her "feel special." I'm sure he makes he feel all kinds of things!

[–]1whatsazipper1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Also: "You don't make my vagina tingle."

Making a girl 'feel special' is not what betas envision. They think of doing things for her and whatnot: princess-like pedestalizing 'special'.

What she thinks, however, 'special' is getting some rough sex by a dominant man and gagging on his cock.

Easily confused.

[–]BluebirdJingle4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I also found it quite interesting that her idea of being a "good team" is him looking after her. She doesn't need to stay loyal or look after him to be a good team, all it takes is his money and time.

[–]witchblade13 -4 points-4 points-4 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I think part of the mix up is people expressing love in different ways. I'm not defending the scumbag wife (as she owed it to her relationship to talk about her feelings) But sometimes people don't realize that doing menial chores around the house can mean 'I love you.' I can't remember all of the expressions but my dad read a book on it when my parents were separating, poor guy. Touch, gifts, and doing extra work were all different expressions. Kind of interesting for anyone wanting to pursue a ltr

[–]witchblade13-3 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You're right 17 years is a long time, but from the authors post they hadn't been communicating until after the wife said she wanted a divorce. People can change pretty quickly and it's easy to miss changes especially when the focus of the relationship is on raising kids. I'm sure if we were to learn more about this relationship we would find that there were no date nights where the couple could reconnect and continually redefine themselves. However, the onus is still on the wife as she was the one aware of the problem and did nothing. It really shows that her vows and marriage mean nothing

[–]Reddthrown37 points38 points39 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. Somehow texting while you're on the leg press doesn't seem to work for them. Go figure.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

translation: "I don't want to be sweaty for the man who will be fucking your wife tonight."

[+]juanqunt-6 points-5 points-4 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

She's definitely full of shit. Although I do often take a shower before the gym during the summer. I run 2 miles to the gym shirtless most of the time, and it makes the run that much more bearable. No fucking way a woman would do that.

Their whole work outs are shorter than a 4 mile run, which are simply my warmups and cooldowns. During my actual gym session, I usually lift heavier than anyone else in the gym.

[–]redpillshadow31 points32 points33 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

My wife began sleeping in the spare room on the basis that she was "seeing someone else" and it would be "inappropriate for me to see her naked".

Those cunts are brutal aren't they.

This is an edited extract from Single Father, Better Dad, out on August 21.

A book. So there will be chapters whether he learned from it.

[–]Scoundrel_16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

At least SHE was the one sleeping in the spare room! Most of the time it's the husband who's banished from the bedroom, and ends up sleeping on the couch.

[–]anonlymouse10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You know there's a guilty conscience when that happens.

[–]Scoundrel_4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was thinking exactly that... She felt guilty for cheating, so she let him have the bedroom as a small concession.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She shouldn't be allowed in the house, period. She ceased her wifely duties the second she started looking for some foreign strange. It was written in blood the moment she recorded her feelings in print (and after she fucked the other guy).

[–]Senior ContributorSkorchZang13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Heartbreaking story. It's heartbreaking how textbook everything the woman did was, and how ignorant men are about it.

This is why men in "happy relationships" need TRP especially badly.

[–]Scoundrel_11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So many guys are in their cozy little bubble, thinking everything is fine & dandy — until one day, it isn't.

I've been hearing the word "blindsided" by men who have been dumped by their wives a lot lately. It's always the same story: "I was a good boy, I did everything society expects of me. Why am I being punished?"

[–]heeb3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why men in "happy relationships" need TRP especially badly.

Too true. I've been married for 9 years now, and we have an 8-year-old daughter. I've discovered TRP only about a year ago. It has saved my dying marriage. TRP is amazing.

[–]CaptainPoopsock1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ok, total TRP lurker/newbie here.

What could this man have done differently using TRP?

[–]Endorsed ContributorBluepillProfessor1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He could have fucked her like a cave man, choked her, slapped her slutty face, called her a filthy whore, and threw her on the bed and stretched out her little butthole with his dick while she cried. Then the 'goodnight my love' might have been sent to him instead.

Tingles Uber Elles.

[–]morealphaeveryday0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maintained a mission outside of his marriage maybe? Appeared outcome independent. Be an authoritive leader. Being a husband is hard work, just like being a captain of a boat is. You can't ask your wife "where would you like to go on vacation? ", you say "we are going to <fillintheblank>". If she wants to provide input, you consider it and make the decision. You need to lead them and provide direction and feedback. You need to treat them like a subordinate, but emotionally connect with them at the same time. Fucking them hard is part of it, but not the whole story.

[–]2johnnight9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I know it's a cliché, but I genuinely hadn't seen it coming. I felt that something wasn't quite right, which was why I had trawled through her mobile phone. ... Seventeen years of marriage over, just like that.

That college guy with the $6k trip to Europe also did not see it coming, but something was fishy for the last 3 weeks.

I'd say it can come for EVERYONE. Especially for guys who can not keep up the excitement. Your beta provisioning and niceguying means nothing:

I simply didn't understand it. I drove myself mad as I ran mental laps through my head. What had I done wrong? I thought I was a good husband and father. I had a good job, I was helpful, I did the washing-up, mowed the lawns, ironed my shirts, took the bread out of the freezer – more than a lot of men did – and, most importantly, I did my bit with the children.

Excitement, excitement, excitement. Envy by other women. It's explicitly said here:

Although I was useful around the house I had not, it was pointed out to me, been a good husband for some time [bullshit]. I had become the marital equivalent of a high-end vacuum cleaner. I was reliable and rarely broke down, I was capable and did what was expected of me, but I wasn't fun to use. Practical, but not exciting or inspiring. My wife didn't want a vacuum cleaner ... She wanted something special, an up-market espresso machine with aesthetic appeal to be an object of desire among her friends.

Also lol at this carousel reference:

The world had become one huge out-of-control fairground ride.

[–]let_terror_reign8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Heartbreaking. I hope he raises his daughters to be better than his ex wife. I LOLed at the irony of him wanting to save his daughter's 'hamster'. No, brah, ALWAYS let the hamster burn

[–]Wheatspin 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like how his wife vehemently denies that she could ever be cheating and then days later demands a divorce because she's found someone else (sooooul mate). And to top it all off, he says he genuinely didn't see it coming? I imagine that's what it must be like to put on a blindfold and trying to cross a highway - willfully oblivious to impending disaster.

[–]YaBoiTibzz6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And this right here is why I'm not having children. No matter how promising it may look at first there's just no way you can guarantee that your woman won't get tired of you at some point down the road; and your kids don't deserve to go through a divorce like that.

[–]toofantastic11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

This guy was clearly deep in the blue pill beta zone and by any standard his wife was astonishingly selfish. This is a good read, but I cringed when he talked about how they "made love for the last time." There is no "making love," only having sex.

[–]anonlymouse14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Given the pair bonding effects of having sex, making love isn't just a euphemistic phrase.

[–]eccentricrealist2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, but as I understand the more a woman fucks different guys the pair bonding effect disappears, so he was making love while she was just getting fucked.

[–]anonlymouse-3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That's not unique to women. Men who have fucked a bunch of different girls won't have it either.

[–][deleted] -1 points-1 points-1 points 12 years ago | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]anonlymouse1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Testosterone is a male oriented hormone, women have it too and produce it in their ovaries. Oxytocin isn't exclusive to women, nor is the bonding effect it has. What do you think causes oneitis?

[–]eccentricrealist1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You don't even need sex for oneitis, which is one of the main problems a lot of guys have today.

[–]toofantastic2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree, but the fucking is still fucking. The pair bonding, feelings, etc., don't change the physical act of fucking in reality.

I avoid these verbal acrobatics whenever possible, including hamster-friendly phrases such as "I'm seeing someone" (better: I'm fucking someone), "We made love last night" (better: We fucked last night), and "We made out" (better: We didn't fuck but instead had oral sex).

[–]merkmerk731 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I feel like using the term "made love" makes you a guaranteed beta. I can't think of any guy seriously using that term that isn't a huge sissy fucking beta.

[–]rpkarma3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My girlfriend once asked me to "make love" to her. I tried, I really did, but two minutes in I gave up and fucked the shit out of her. She loved it.

[–]cdogg751 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the term "making love" is used by women who want to be fucked like whores who do not want to sound "that way"

[–]TestosteroneFilled0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually yes, there is. Sex is originally an arousing act which forms physical and psychological bonds between the couple with the purpose of reproduction. But since the modern women have had 50 different cocks, where every different partner fucks up with her brain and hormones, mainly the oxytocin(the female oriented bonding via sex hormone)levels, this may no longer be the task and instead she just wants a different cock inside her each day to make herself feel attractive and worthy. Where she's actually a warm hole men use.

[–]whitey_male8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He's a management consultant. You have to be basically a genius to do that job, and it pays probably 300k+ per year. Not alpha enough for her. His wife is a cunt. Her excuse merely that she's bored.

This is reverse AF/BB. She will divorce him and he will be effectively paying for her to live in a house and fuck the gym guy. BB/AF.

[–]watersign10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

ehh..not everyone who works in consulting works for Bain/BCG/Mckinsey...lots of these guys are slick sales men who can make pretty charts and tell companies what they already know

[–]ceo_of_apple4 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This was so painful to read. I usually am not emotionally affected by stories other people tell, but this really hurt- I genuinely felt bad for the guy. He thought he didn't everything perfectly- and got royally fucked over in the worst way imaginable.

[–]WeAreGlidingNow2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

"I love you, but I'm not in love with you."

Wow, I thought girls stopped saying that line once they reached 13 or 14. I never understood this weasely phrase. It's like: "I'm hungry, but I don't feel hunger."

So, this was a UK story, but if told in the USA, it would end with: I am now working two extra jobs to keep up with the huge alimony payments, she got half my 401k, so I can never retire, and I had to pay her legal fees as well.

[–]juanqunt4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's more like "I'm hungry and you're giving me broccoli, but I crave chocolate"

I've been trained to solve problems through analysis of facts, logic and carefully constructed arguments.

Facts and logic do not apply to women. This guy stopped giving her the gina tingles, and she even pretty much openly admits just that. You can never stop running game, no matter how long the relationship or how secure and stable you might think things are.

[–]TheWindyCity 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if you're redpill, marriage by default puts you in beta territory to an extent, which is why if you ask me, a LTR relationship is the real test of how redpill you are because you're always fighting a progressive uphill battle

[–]nefuratios3 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I wonder if the daughters are really his.

[–]the99percent11 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

When I was in my mid 20s, I slept with a 38 year old married woman.

Her husband was rich, handsome, fit and ran a gym. It still baffled me how easy it was for me to ravage this lady..

Why did I fuck her? simple. she was in great shape for a woman her age. There were clear dtf and indicators of interest. She kept making snide remarks at my frame. So one day during work, I couldn't take it anymore and fucked her good in the office toilet. When I saw her enter, I followed in, pinned her against the sink and said 'is this what you want.' and proceeded to fuck her.

We fucked a couple more times till I had enough. Old pussy is quite a let down...

She slept with a few more men before initiating divorce proceedings with her husband. She of course took the house and 50% of his net worth. And since they had three young kids, she receives alimony and child care.

I almost feel sorry for the husband.

[–]Pdr_vzlr0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Kinda feel sorry for the guy

[–]variableLt0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, to all those guys that still think that they have a control of their women in marriage, remember only this: "Seventeen years of marriage over, just like that."

17 years of marriage - over, when his dad has cancer, throwing everything away just like that. They don't strike when you are on the top of the hill, they strike on your way down.

They don't think about consequences. They don't think about children. They are wicked creatures.

If you need to get married, for the love of God, stay on the top of your game, hide your resources, get a second passport, 'cause when shit hits the fan, it will be too late and you will find yourself on a ghostship without any fuel left.

[–]kindlebluemoon 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's pointless to be angry at the wife. You can't force yourself to love somebody. Anything is better than keeping a loveless marriage together just to keep it together.

It's easy to blame divorce laws, feminism, and "modern society" for the state of the world, but I think it goes deeper than that. Modern divorce makes it easier for women to exit out of marriage when they become unhappy, but what would the alternative be? You both stay chained together, both miserable, and "try to work it out." Working it out doesn't mean your marriage becomes happy again, it means you get accustomed to unhappiness.

Let's face it: marriage and monogamy are not natural and never were. Marriage helps a lot for social stability, yes. But fuck that. You don't owe society shit. Don't get married.

I can't think of a single couple in their 40s whose lives I'm jealous of. I just don't want that at all. You only live once, why be fucking miserable?

Again I ask: Is there a macro for these stories.

Watching a guy in the office head down this path right now. Buddy from another place I worked at had this happen to him.

No amount of little league games, lawn work and nice birthday parties will save you if you don't get her turned on. At the end of the day she still wants a guy that makes her need to change her panties if she thinks about him too much.

Great father and husband? Good for you and that helps. Not lover material? No you have a problem.

All of you pill popping redpillers out there: what would have been a more red pill approach to this marriage? Would working out more, not caring about her too much and fucking her harder have saved their marriage? Would that necessarily make her feel more special?

Of course. Just follow the basic principles, know how to pass shit tests, keep frame, etc. But you do that from the start; he can't do anything to salvage it.

I would tend to disagree. Betas make the world spin. Unfortunately in our day and age there is no sanctity of marriage and whoring women are not shunned by society.

As such men have nothing left but to become "playas".

I genuinely feel bad for this man. He's done everything society asked him to do - and it didn't work. He doesn't even have the tools to realize what went wrong.

Divorce laws should be changed asap. We shouldn't have given these cunts the right to vote.

Fucking agreed. How many women will vote someone into office who will take us to war just because they said they like gays and are pro-abortion. Women vote with their feelings, men vote on policies. Pure and simple.

We shouldn't have given these cunts the right to vote.

Yeah shut the fuck up with this nonsense.

Not only is it absurd - and probably trolling - but it doesn't contribute anything.

dude is a mgmt consulting..prob spends more time in front of the spreadsheets than he does smashing his wifes gutss

[–]DGer7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well considering he would spend a minimum of 8 hours a day in front of those spreadsheets I'd say that's pretty obvious.
