There's literally nothing in it for men. It used to be a fairly equal trade-off, but now many women are even refusing to take the man's name. The man loses his sexual freedom, his revenue, can be potentially fucked over in a divorce for everything he's worth, and women don't even have the common decency to take his last name.

I've talked to 2 of my male co-workers about women, both in their 20s. One of them works his ass off to pay fucking alimony to his crazy ex, the other was engaged and found out that the girl was going to leave him and take his money right after they got married.

I baffles me that even on TRP I sometimes see guys advocating marriage. "But I want to lead a family and be a man and bla bla". The idea that you need to do this or that to be a man is core bluepill thinking!. Shaming you into "growing up" and providing them with a comfortable house and free income is exactly what women do.

And if you do want children, you can do that without getting married. "but London-Bananas, muh nuclear family!". A piece of paper does NOTHING for the stabilty of your family. Look kids, it says right here that if daddy and mommy don't love eachother anymore mommy will get all our stuff and you can see your dad every other weekend, isn't that great?. If you want to demonstrate to your kids what family means, show them how a healthy relationship works. That's how kids really learn, by watching what their parents do.

In all of talk and arguments against marriage I can see the point. Even tho I can't compare it to mine family. My parents, their brothers and sisters - they all have their families. Even their children do. I can not relate all the information I got here, on RP, to my life. We do not have a single divorce case that I'd know about. Can anyone try to relate to that?

The biggest mistakes I see married people make is trying to live outside their means and not being transparent with each other. People damn near live separate lives from their spouses and wonder why it happens. Well no fucking shit, there is no real bond. I'm not saying that will prevent everything but it is a start. You can tell when a woman WANTS to be your first mate. If not then NEEEEEEXT!

For an atheist, no marriage is the correct choice, however for a religious person, it's kind of close to a requirement (if you are part of the main three Abrahamics). I get it, marriage is bad in modern society, however at least for Catholics you are not really considered to be part of the church after any divorce, creating an anti-divorce rape stimulus.
