Instead of a post-holiday let down, I chose to spend time in meditation for the purpose of clearing my head and focusing on a productive year.

In no order of importance, my chosen steps for a prosperous year are:

Fitness - healthy diet & exercise
Financial - examine spending habits and prioritize spending on needs
Friends - reacquaint with old friends; build network of new, quality friends
Family - build my pillar within the family
Fucking - my life; my terms. Don't like what I'm offering? Bye Felicia.
Career - Build wealth; build power; network; skill development.

Diet and exercise is already in motion.
Financial is a work-in-progress and needs time to review. Most habits are under control.
Friends I need to call and arrange time to meet. New friends I will build during skill development.
Family is always a work in progress.
Fucking is good. Don't get comfortable though, human's are fickle and can turn on a dime.
Career... this is a beast but tameable. Will spend dedicated time to find the next steps.

2018 is about taking the reins and learning to fly.

Mediated daily for over a year now. No fap for a long time, only sex. Been doing 5x5 workouts for a while, seeing improvement on that. Only trying to find chicks on hookup apps, not doing any approaching which i know isnt great. My business is okay, im working on becoming more organized and detailing revenue predictions. I felt this lazy feeling that i couldnt shake. Id snap out of it and get back work, only to find myself in that slouched up lazy feeling again. Decent week overall

Newbie here, forgive the long post.

For the longest time I always put women on the pedestal and assumed they were better than me because of low self-esteem. After coming across this sub last year, I realised where I had gone wrong and said Fuck It, what do I have to lose.

I recently started working out, started improving my budgeting and eating habits, and started to lose a bit of weight. At a social event yesterday I asked a girl for her number, and even though she rejected me, I walked away feeling like a champ because it was something I never would have done before. I feel it's the start of something new, and I'm proud of myself for it.

Pros

Cold showers before work since Monday
Got rid of all social media on Monday also
NoFap day 6 today (weekend boredom is when I tend to relapse...)
Still adding weight to main exercises at gym, currently running Fierce 5 routine
Gave up caffeine except green teas throughout the day @ the office, and one coffee on the weekend

Cons

Have kind of replaced social media with more Reddit, but at least I'm learning and taking more away (topic dependent)
Haven't got round to starting to meditate yet
Am yet to approach still

Overall it has been a decent week, not the most efficient and productive but I think I understand where I went wrong and I will set a plan on how to fix it.

The highlights:

Kept a very clean diet and eating schedule
Have been meditating every morning and some days in the afternoon
Very consistent with cold showers
In three days I am about to complete one month of NoFap and two months of NoPorn. If it's true, I definitely feel more confident and more focused. Also, I have definitely notice more attention and looks from women
There is a surge of motivation and creativity. I keep coming up with ideas, the hard part is to sit down and implement them.

The bad:

Work is still a bit slow and meaningless and I have been complaining a lot about it. Correction: I need to complain less and get down to work on my ideas.
I still lack a solid set of goals I want to achieve for this year. Correction: I will sit by myself this weekend and figure out how to get 2018 by the reins as sqerl said
Still very much hung up about a girl I had a fling with over the Christmas holidays. Now we live in separate countries but I think about her a lot and I browse her Facebook photos a lot. Correction: I need to go out more and get back to the gym and my hobbies.

Started as a fat 225 a year ago, crash dieted to 185, and then mega bulked and actually worked out to a chunky 215. Target weight is 180 by May 1st.

Went to the ski cabin with a new group of friends out of my comfort zone. Failed much this week, stressed out from work and school life balance, smoked weed out of stress. Lost my student ID the day of my Big 4 coding interview. The stress nearly drove me insane, but I kept looking up, knowing the stress only makes my roots stronger. I started monk mode.

I quit weed; I sent them an email to extend my interview; I sought for help and advice from my teachers; I listened to podcasts; I caught up over 50 pages of reading about operating systems and counting; I finished my homework early; I am on nofap for more than 25 days; I wake up at 3am 5 days a week for work; I turned in my two weeks because fuck shit work that doesnt help you grow & network; I cooked at home all week and meal prepped; I talk to new people and do my best to spread positivity.

I replaced bad habits with good habits. This is a marathon. The rewards will come in the long run.

3 x gym this week, ate like a pig last week-end but corrected the course with prejudice during the week. Lost all the stupid weight I gained eating ice cream and pizza and whatnot. I am pleased with my overall looks. Excited to go in the Caribbean’s in 2 weeks and show my upgraded body to the bikini crowds. Can't say it enough - lift!

Literally has been amusing in what has happened to me in the last 7 days.

Improvement:

-Diet is getting better, literally only drank 1 soda can the whole week, protein/calories/carbs are where they need to be.

-Worked out Sun, Mon, Tues, Thur, Today. Lost 3 pounds, going up in weights lifting.

-Made my uncle who is skinnier than me but stronger too, insecure about him gaining weight and me losing weight so he's eating less. I weigh 190lbs, he weighs 182lbs. Big Confidence boost.

-Planning on going out tomorrow just causally to try day game on any chick so I can improve my communication skills and getting laid. I honestly need a girlfriend and haven't had one for about 5ish months which I was a complete dumb beta with her.

-Haven't masturbated for 3rd week straight. Learned a lot from Trp.

Non improvements:

Non responsible/ Got caught driving 3rd time w/o my license and surprisingly didn't end up in jail. I'm responsible with everything else just not w/ the laws. (Working on getting my license on Monday if possible after already completing driversed).
Minimal goals/ Literally my goal is to pay off my car now so I don't get screwed balls deep in bank interest/high insurance. Also my other goal is to get a nice Camaro and that's about it. (I plan on making more goals as time goes on)
Almost no friends/ Besides co-workers, a couple of neighbors, I lost all my friends due to my mom being over protective before I became an adult. I took control over my decisions before discovering trp but trp has helped me 100% take over my own decisions.. I wasn't able to make friends like how it used to be. ( I'm thinking of finding friends who are into the same sports and common interest just don't know how to find them but I will)

First time doing this, so this week is probably going to be more of a lifestyle review for me, instead of what's changed.

Pros

 1. Have been for past few months, but working out extremely consistently. Significant results, and I'm pretty defined. 2. Continuing success in school, I'm #2 in my class with a 4.86 weighted gpa. This semester was a 5.35, but it won't be enough to bring me to #1 yet. Not much competition however, I think I can come out on top by senior year. 3. Gradually increasing confidence levels as well as social skills, but those are perhaps some of the longest games in life. 4. I know what my mission is. Academic/career success above all, then body/fitness goals, then all else.

Cons

Being 16, I masturbate. A lot. Gotta tone that down from once a day, to hopefully 3 times a week. I'll go from there.
REALLY hard time getting the motivation to pursue new hobbies/skills. When there's no due date there's no start date.
Diet is not at all what it needs to be, I need to up protein and unsaturated fats, as well as lower carb consumption. May try intermittent fasting.

Overall not too bad, self-improvement is a long and arduous process but I'm glad I'm on the (hopefully) right path.

Up to 2/3rds of the volume of exercise i was hitting before the accident. Back to working out every other day. Still cant exercise without smoking weed but whatever, it works. Been doing a bit of intermittent fasting and my bodyfat levels are lower than theyve ever been. Still have a lot of strength to gain back though. Im only benching 110 as my 1 rep max. I used to hit 170 easy

Been going strong on nofap. Day 23 without looking at any porn. Shit kills my motivation. I notice a huge difference in my approaches when im not jacking off all the time. Had a great exchange with an HB9 the other day. Should have gone for the number close. I keep letting myself fall back on my recovery as an excuse. Telling myself to focus on me without and stay away from the stress of doing too many approaches. Gotta strike a good balance between pushing myself and knowing whats too much for me

I gave up gaming all week and read through a book needed to get another certification in my field.

In a way, I want to give up gaming completely because of how much I can get done.
On the other hand, it's where a lot of my social interaction is, most of my friends are now married with children, and this is where most of their time is spent; so jumping into quick gaming sessions together is one way we can still "hang out." Also, I'm not sure how else to spend my free time. I know there are other things to do that I'm just not doing.

I read the post about building up your tribe, and now I'm looking to do that outside of friends.

1 Health/Fitness - Well, my diet is not complete shit, but kind of random. I just eat what I have. I'll have to start counting calories and watching my diet more. Also need to get into working out regularly.

2 Finances - I really need to get my finances in order. Eliminate my bad spending habits, pay off debt, start investing. I need more cash flow. Gotta look for a new job.

3 Social/Relationship - I think this is the area that needs the least work in my life. I have good social/communication skills, a couple good friends, a satisfying LTR, one plate with another one in the works.

4 Others - I need a hobby. I recently stopped playing video games. Went from ~6 hours a day to less than 10 hours a week. I don't even miss it, funnily enough. Still, I need a new hobby to replace it and fill the newly gained time with something that is fun and useful. I am open for suggestions. I am also trying to get back into the habit of reading. Aiming for 1 book a month for now.

TLDR;; 20 year old college student. Gym 5 times a week: hit squat, missed bench. Got a job. Went out with friends, got too hammered. Cleaned my room.

Health/Fitness:

Went to the gym 5 times this week, currently running PHAT.
Hit squat target for 3x5.
Started a habit of weighing myself each morning and recording.
Missed bench target for 3x5. Will try again next week.
Skipped second half of power leg day becuase I was tired from a long day. Won’t happen again.
Didn’t stick to plan of doing abs 3 times a week. Only did it once and i didn’t really push myself.
I usually count my calories every day, but this week I missed 2-3 days and wasn’t trying to hit a 50/30/20 macro split. Need to start buckling down on that before it turns into me never counting calories. Bad habits are slippery slopes that need to handled with right away.

Financial

Landed an interview for a sales job this week. Group interview, got the job 20 minutes after the interview. I’ve been looking to get a job in sales so I can work on my selling and people skills, and also to make some extra money to save and invest.
Started keeping track of all my expenses for the week, and calculated the total amount I spend each day on food, gas, supplies, etc.
Almost finished with Random Walk Down Wall Street and also finished reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. Going to continue reading finance/investing books.
Opened a Roth IRA at vanguard. My goal is to hit the $5,500 contribution limit by the end of the semester funded through my new job. Started developing portfolio for when I start investing.

Academic

Up to date on all of my assignments, not procrastinating and leaving anything for the last minute.
Got an A on my first calculus quiz.

Social

Went out with friends who were visiting my college to party. Got too drunk and am currently writing this with a huge hangover. I’ve been trying to reduce alcohol intake when I go out, but last night I just decided fuck it I’m with my boys.
Things are going well with girlfriend. I was busy this week and didn’t have that much time for her so that means she was more clingy, but it’s all good.

Other

Cleaned my room, bathroom, living room and kitchen this week. I’m naturally a very messy and disorganized person, so I’m still trying to work on that.

Improvements: 1. Fitness- have lifted every single day of this school week (5 days). Now resting for the weekend.

Social - Previously, I was a loner. Now that I'm in college, I have gotten out of my shell. Made 2 friends so far, I think I have two more on the way. Trying to make a group. Not much, but a ton for the old BP me.
Schoolwork - Started my mechanical engineering courses this semester, and I've been crushing it. Attend lecture, not missing classes like I did last semester.
Game - Tease girls and roast guys like I never have before this week. Handling shit tests well.

My main focus right now is drastically improving my SMV. With a lot of things, like being social and having a lot of friends, I was behind guys around me. Slowly, but surely, catching up.

Setbacks:

NoFap - relapsed this week from a long streak. Back on board though.

Started school at a new location two weeks ago, which I found to be the place to start approaching.

So far... Pros: -most of my approaches let to lengthy conversations, especially yesterday when I talked to some girl at McDonald's -going back to the gym. I did start going in November but completely lost my routine after Christmas and lost all my gains. Working on getting them back. -deleted social media. Didn't delete my accounts in case I want to promote a business -bought the A+ certification book so I can learn computer repair, and in turn start my PC repair buisness

However... Cons: My diet is absolute shit. I'm taking McDonald's every other day. Doesn't help my new school has a McDonald's in front of it -i have a definite addiction to my phone. Need to wean off -still get major approach anxiety and make excuses at the last second

have put off studying my classes for two weeks. A huge mistake considering these are high level math classes

Been out of town on vacation the whole week. Totally thrown off:

GOOD: -minimized my social media presence again for the week. -when I did social media kept it to me doing interesting things, having fun. -went out a couple of nights. -did more reading.

Spent time with family, put my social life on the back burner for the week, but disappointed that I let some opportunities slip through my fingers, but motivated to move forward next week.

One week into a new routine: cutting out all easy ways to release dopamine except TRP (movies, YouTube, TV shows/sports, masturbation, etc). Replaced with more BJJ, gym, studying, meditation and such. Trying this for 30 days to see the results (also keeping a journal).

Been lifting twice a day 2on 1off and doing cardio at least once a day on on days.

Need to focus better on time management and maximizing my work output and not slack off as much.

Stuck in a shitty situation surrounded by shitty people but I'm not going crazy which is good.

Improvements: 1. Started reading. 2. spending less time on social media. 3. started a course which is very likely to lead to a full-time job in March. 4. been having cold showers for a week now and I rate it. 5. started writing down morning routines the night before and doing it the next morning. 6. Got a new phone, upgraded my 4 year old phone. 7. Made a new friend. 8. Cut down on YouTube and politics, waste so much time following that shit. 9. Been getting up earlier and the goal is to get up at 5-5.30am. 10. Improved public speaking.

Setbacks: 1. Haven't been exercising but going to do an ab workout tonight, body weight leg work out, start doing push-ups every day. 2. Haven't been social due to lack of funds and living a bit away from most of my friends, so it's harder to just meet up without driving 30-60 mins. 3. Need to stop wasting time on YouTube, cut down a lot but I want to limit use to less than 30 mins a day if I do go on it. 4. I need to stretch daily but I don't because I'm lazy, have to change that. 5. Diet has been shit, need to eat healthier, more fruit and veg. 6. Been staying up later than I want, need to stop. 7. Bought junk food.

To do this week: I want to read more, exercise more, stretch more, start learning Italian, start cooking more, start meditating, read before bed, go for 1 hour walk in the morning, arrive to class 20 minutes before it starts, improve public speaking.

It's been a very social week. VERY. Parties, hanging out, sports.
Believe I had an opportunity to open a perfect 10 from IOIs but bitched out. It was such an easy open but didn't do it sadly :(. Will do next time.
personal fastest makeout, about 2-3 minutes after meeting her for the first time (kinda). she opened me though. I lead after. it was a good reference experience.
I've felt confident/calm, but not fun, open and talkative.
quite random, but I had an all time high in verbal game in terms of tonality and way of speaking. It was very sharp, breaking rapport, good projection (volume), statements not questions type voice. SO many friggin girls I passed where all flicking their hair in my direction. It was actually ridiculous. At one point my group were passing 3 girls and they all started flicking their hair. Maybe it was just randomness but I like to believe it was because my on point voice.
Also 7 day nofap if that means anything.

Fitness 5/10

Haven't been able to train for logistical reasons. I would have if I could have.
Feel a bit weaker. will get back to training ASAP
Diet is okay. weight is good.
Got a bit sick.
Feel tired because of all of the above.

After passing over The subtle art of not giving a fuck once again, the concept of uncertainty really hit home.

I realized that many of the ideas and perspectives I invest in are actually very much incorrect. I have ideas about how others see me and after reading this section of the book, I decided to conduct a little experiment.

I approached a couple of situations with the people around me and mention how I think I am an introvert and can sometimes come off as cold or arrogant. Nearly every person I mentioned this too, immediately told me they don't get that vibe at all, and in fact, said I come off as outgoing and very personable.

This was a major correction to my self awareness painting. Continuing to question the ideas and perspectives I have about myself and how they stack up against the perspectives and ideas of others is a very useful tool in the arena of self improvement.

Improvements - Winter bulk is over, lost about 10lbs so far, dropping from 230lbs -> 190 this summer. Should be physique contest ready then. Started showering + brushing my teeth twice a day, works wonders for my appearance.

Progress - Asked a girl out for the first time... at 24. Seemed REALLY into me, my beta side came out on date 2 and I feel like shit. Still hit the gym today. Have to work on my self-confidence.

For this week, I will continue the previous goals with these primarily in mind;

Make a start on the side-hustle

Open everyone at the house party

Start and finish reviewing work experiences

Last week I set some goals;

Keep a conversation going at all times - Maintained at least two continually all week with few slip ups. Got more flirty and have a girl at the ready next time i go to the city.

No beer, no snacks this week - one beer, one snack in a social setting. Still happy with it.

Converse with everyone on shift at least once - Completed. Now to start up conversations with those outside of the department, I have some leads and opportunities coming up so need to get my name out there.

Highlights of this week:

-New 8RM squat with good form & completed all set gymwork

-I started noticing and caring when I wasn't showing integrity at work (an important first step for me), didn't make too much of an effort correcting it though.

Bad - Wasn't assertive enough telling a friend it was his home-time wasting a couple of valuable hours. Finished book in one go and then didn't read again.

Started a workout lean bulking program now that I’ve successfully dropped to 16% bodyfat after 16 months. Very excited. Was starting to get more attention from girls just doing my own thing. Now that I’m on my way to looking like a Greek god I’m so amped.

Keeping up with the gym.
Daily routine is leading to more productivity and less boredome moments.
Studying and getting lecture notes organised.
9 Days NoFap/NoPorn.
Walking with boss level confidence and a stong posture (getting an unnatural level of looks).
Talking to everyone I see and enjoying the conversations.
Girl cooked for me out of the blue.

Negatives

Haven't been reading as much as I could
Got a grade back that I wasn't happy about.
My end of day relax time is starting to push back my sleeping pattern again.
Not pushing myself enough with my hobby.

My focus for the coming week

Keep going gym.
Read a small bit everyday.
Put aside 30 minutes to an hour a day to study.
Set a limit to the time spent relaxing at the end of the day.
Put more effort into hobby.

P.s Have no clue where the confidence in my walk has come from but it feels great.

Had a damn good week.

Closing in on my goal weight of 200 pounds after 2 long years of lifting. Currently sitting at 214lbs. Started at 294lbs.
Didn't go over my calorie deficite of 1,560 calories a day and have been eating clean.
Been lurking in here for a couple of years and I've been taking notes down recently that I like to reflect on in the mornings.
Haven't missed a single day of the gym.

Things I will improve on.

Need to approach more women and play the numbers game. (Only got about 4 last month and they all didn't pan out)
Saving money this year. I plan on saving $500 a month if possible. So a total of $6000 this year. It's never a bad idea to have money in the bank.
Been thinking about my ex a little too much. Probably because I've went into a monk mode for the past few months and I've been a little lonely. But I know it's just me being emotional and not rationale and I'll be fine once I put myself back out there.
